Here is my 2nd vid on the topic

there is a pt2 pt2... here:

I have still yet to give them a good go... But I figured I would pleasure you all to another video in the meantime. Showing some of my cockpit and other things.

Enjoy ;)

If you are wondering how I had my g27 pedals mounted upside down, here is a look. I think you can assume why I could not test properly with them like that. the wood the pedals were mounted to is held in place with mounting pins for shelves...lol

Looking forward to reading/watchin your next review. Can you please test it if it is compatible with GT5p, if you have GT5p/PS3.

Yes and yes...👍

Part 3 of the review should be up sometime next week.

You're funny! :P

The things I want to know about the perfect pedal is:

  • console compatibility
  • difference between the clubsport pedals

Good video stega. 👍

There is absolutely no compatibility issue with consoles because (consoles) games uses first depress for calibration, it's directly plug-n-play.

Here's me using The Perfect Pedal in GT4 on PS2:

Clubsport's brake pedal uses solid state load cell, it's much more similar to the AP Elextrics pedal mod.

Aaron from sim-sport is a great guy. 👍

Thanks for the confirmation.

So what is the difference between the AP electrix and the perfect pedal mod? How does the 2 mods feel in comparison? Does the Clubsport brake pedal foam have the same feeling as the PerfectPedal oil mod when compressed?

Nice Stega...

You got lots of toys...
Btw PM me regards FM3 multiscreen youll get all the help you need matey....

I am not sure what the Clubsport foam mod is... But from what I can tell the major difference in feeling is there is less pedal travel and more pressure modulation with the perfect pedal. Like I said I have not given them a proper go yet but so far it feels great and works well. As Chillicoke mentioned it will work with console/ps3 as you just have to calibrate it by pushing the pedal down as hard as you can/want.

I do not have an AP electrix mod so I could not tell you the difference there. I also went ahead and switched old brake spring with my clutch and my clutch is now my gas pedal and I like the force needed to use them much better.

Thx Latte but I figured it out that same day playing around for a few hours myself. Works great now.

Also how do I link youtube vids in posts like chilli just did??? I was looking to do that.

I didn't say it's a foam mod.

Also thanks. If the clubsport pedals feel the same as the AP electrix, you could compare the AP electrix with the PerfectPedal mod, using the clubsport pedals.

Fanatec website
Realistic brake pedal dampening created by special PU foam made in Germany and used in the car industry in shock absorbers. Ultra strong and smooth.

Ah the PU Foam... silly me. Sorry, has anyone tried the replacement foam in the clubsport tuning kit??

So any more comments about this product.
Particulary in comparison to the CSP and being used on PS3 and X360 games?

Does it work perfectly with FM3 with Turbo S (g25 adapter) as well as we know from Chilli its fine for GT5

I will be making/releasing the final vid/review on the "Perfect Pedal" later this week I really wanted to give it a full test/use before I posted the actual review. But this is on the way.. look for it later this week/weekend.

Only issue Id have with this mod is losing the lights but well done :(

Stega you should do your own cockpit thread and keep all your nice ideas/new bits all in one thread. Besides its good for the fourms and others to all share in the same interests....

Keep this one for PP

I will be doing a more concise review... But figured you guys wanted something to hold you over. I talk about a bunch of stuff here and I am all over the place. I hope you don't mind for now.

Pt 1 rough draft of review

Pt 2 rough draft of review

Give me some input guys as to anything else you want to know or that I should go into detail about....

Well Im a bit surprised as you dont come across as being blown away with the pedal. For $200 id maybe want a bit more assurance this thing improves a players braking ability and improves not just the feeling but possibly their performance a little.

Maybe you can give us a later update.
Could you try doing a few TT laps with the CSP and then the PP.
Put them to a performance test taking note of your times that way giving perhaps your best lap and average lap over say a 5 lap stint on a track?

Dont just do it once but base it on maybe 3 goes each on different days even. Something like that would let you see yourself and a good way to determine if they indeed can enchance performance.

So far I gathered this from your videos....

Advantages:
Feels more like a real car does, requires very little travel
Easier to adapt to it with little learning curve

Disadvantages:
CSP seem hard to beat for price/performance
Costly modification

Oh and many might not say thanks but well thanks for going to the bother...
I owe you a coffee :)

Great idea Latte...
I will try same car, same track, same game. Different pedals and multiple days...

See what kind of results I get.

The value of the clubsports is very difficult to beat. I was not blown away with the perfect pedal, it is a better load cell brake pedal but it is only the brake pedal... The gas and clutch matter too imo.

Isn't it possible to put the perfect pedal on the clubsport pedal? If so, you have the "perfect pedal" set.

It is possible I am sure, Aaron from sim-sport.net makes his pedals using the perfect pedal module, unfortunately I am not that good at electronics that I could figure out the rewiring and all, but if there is a video guide I can!

But yes that sounds like it would be the perfect combo in my opinion.

Ive had the other product "AP Electrix" on order for quite some time and got an email a while back stating a delay. Look forward to your comments if this is worth getting as I too have the CSP.
:)

Have you heard more from AP Electrix about Andy's upgrade status, or received the product?

I ordered back in March and got the same "delayed due to component switch and qualification testing" email. I'm not in a hurry (GT5 still 4 months away) but I sent Andy emails two weeks ago via his website and directly and have not yet received a reply of any kind.

Does anybody know what's up with Andy Pastore, AP Electrix and his pedal mod?

I cancelled and got a refund.

He mentioned sourcing new components of some kind at the time but was nice to deal with. That might of been 1-2 months ago now.

So Stega for the people here can we expect an update and from a games testing perspective like we mentioned above.

Im sure the guys here are wanting to know more on your thoughts regards this as it is a rather expensive mod.
