Wow, that ****'s awesome. 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 are awesome. Do you mind posting up a 1920x1200 version of number 2? It'd make a kickass wallpaper.

ah, a couple of lame questions for you:
Do you think the D200 is waaaay better than your D70 (besides the better viewfinder, handling and extra MP)? What I mean is, do you think you can take better pictures than you could with the D70, exploit other areas that you couldn't before?

Those are great shots. Keep them coming, please. 👍

Thanks Drift.

Damn, good question. It's only been a few days with the d200 but I really do feel I can take better shots with it thanks to the autofocus. The grouping feature in the autofocus really changes things. If you look here you can see the basic 11 points http://a.img-dpreview.com/reviews/NikonD200/Images/viewfinderdiag.jpg . Instead of only being able to manually chose a single one, the camera sets you up with four and will best determine the focus of to capture all 4 points depending on where you maneuver it to. There's also a no focus point mode which basically focuses the whole scene as best it can. This, and having the ability to change it sitting next to your thumb makes for a killer combo. Also, 5 fps will make a big difference in your life. That bird shot I posted I don't think I would have been able to grab if it wasn't for those extra 2fps. Those aside, it is just a better camera (yeah I'd say waaaayyy better). The build is strong and sturdy, the sticky rubber feels good in your hands. There are tons of features right at your fingertips so on the spot changing of modes is great. The menu is ridiculous when it comes to customization. Viewfinder and LCD screen are a big help when they are larger in size. One thing though, it eats batteries like a fatman at a buffet.

itr like woah. that brick shot is my favourite, but that's not to say the rest suck. really great work.

Superb shots ITR, you guys produce amazing work. 👍

Congrats on the job GTR_guy, about the photos. I love that "Go Fast Stop Faster" shot. Really well done and it looks sweet. :)

Thanks :) Right now I'm just learning the basics, processing film, running the printers and enlargers etc. Then I'm going to start doing studio stuff etc. :)

This is also a great time for me to stock up on my gear but unfortunately I have to hold off on that because I wrecked my friends motorcycle so I owe him about 2000 bucks, there goes my 70-200 2.8L fund :(

Thanks D2XS and AH,

When I first got into photography it was more of a luck thing, right place right time, now I'm slowly starting to use my camera to it's fuller potential and learning alot from the people around me, I've been lucky to know lots of people who've helped guide me along the way. But it's not just me its all of us who have improved, our skills, our styles, they have all evolved in a way I don't think any of us quite imagined at the start of this thread, its pretty amazing and I realize that I still have so much more to learn, who knows what the coming year will bring. I can't wait :)

Skyline, I have to apologize, i forgot to send that price list to you. My fault man, but seriously awesome flower shot. The d.o.f. is really nice.

Ill see if i can upload the shots that I used for my senior project and post them here.

Well i had to do a wedding last week and the weather just wasn't up to what it needed to be:indiff: Also the people were very hard to work with. It was far too dark inside (and i borrowed a SP-800 Nikon Flash) and it was getting dark outside so i suggested we get outside while i still had some good light left. They just kept wanting to take the pictures inside the church. Finally got them outside and got a handful of decent ones. This was the first time ive ever had anyone try to get bad pictures....:dunce:. Here are a few, none include the bride or groom. They requested that i not post any pictures of them on any site or in my personal work album....also everything i tried to do to make the first image look straight didnt work because the church was bricked slightly crooked so if i made the window square then the bricks were off etc.
