Yeah that pentagram shot is pretty damn fine, same with the skate shot.

Todays pick up,

Is that a lomo?

I don't think so. I think it's just a ripoff of the actionsampler. Everything is pretty much the same between the two except for the little plateau around the lenses. I'm taking them both out tomorrow for a test run. We'll see how it all goes.

Haha, ive used hex editor's for hacking nes roms but never for images:idea:

Photoshop Actions. Layers of solid colors, and messing with color balance, curves, and how layers sit on each other.

First time shooting a ballet. I've never shot at 1600ISO before either. I bought a monopod, which I now know is worth every penny. I shot in RAW and did a lot of noise reduction and PP as well. Unedited shots were extremely noisey! But I think these came out good. I'm gonna need more practice in such low light.

^I love the colours on the first shot. Blaine is cute. :D

@speedy_2: That first ballet shot came out really well. 👍

Noisy little bastards...

Their nest is right here on my balcony.

32 photographs turned into 1. Autostitch did a pretty decent job, but choked up in a couple places. It distorted things pretty bad, so I had to Transform a lot in Photoshop, then manually piece together the 5 images from Autostitch. There's still some scale issues (the wall is actually a lot taller in the middle than at both ends, and the left end should be the same size as the right end), but it gives a pretty good impression of the whole thing. I have it in 22,000x1450 or so, but the file's 6 or 7 mb.

Anyone else ever tried this?

Sweet Z photo shoot GTR_guy, you sure know how to take great shots of cars.
I would love to get into that kind of job, I am just wondering what I would need to do. :dunce:
How much Photoshop work do you do on those shots? Are the blurs natural or PS?

Love those kitten shot ITR, that is a cute little ball of fuzz. :D

Keep up the great work guys. 👍

Thanks :D

Its not really my "job" it just something I do on the side as a hobby and to make some spare cash on the side. Basically all you need to do is get a camera and practice until you find your style.

Most of the cars I get to shoot are through word of mouth advertising, my posts on forums etc. I get a lot of client's from az350z a large car club I'm a member of in az. I stay flexible on price as for me its more for fun. This last shoot paid almost 200 bucks so not bad at all.

The blur is all natural through panning or through rolling in another car along side, the IS on the lens helps when taking the motion shots in low light. I try to do very little PS, it takes alot of time so i try to do everything I can in camera, then maybe just load them into lightroom and tweak colors a bit.

this is actually my first shoot where I shot in manual mode the entire time because black is tricky, I must admit I'm addicted now, my camera will never leave the M setting ever again.

some great shots in there skyline. i like the interior ones.

itr cute pussy (zing).

Noisy little bastards...

Came across some noisy little bastards of my own today, there were THOUSANDS of these cicadas clicking and screetching in the trees when we went on a quick hike today. Most bailed as soon as I got too close, but this guy let me pull his branch out into the sunlight and take a few shots:

Ooh! I’m queer for macro shots of insects. That’s really cool. Here’s of my favorites that I’ve taken:
