I suspected the Mexico blunder was just the start of his errors. Thanks as ever for the local perspective.

Your ex-Minister of Culture Gilberto Gil once recorded a very catchy number called "Toda menina Baiana" celebrating the girls of Bahia. I loved the record so much I looked up the lyrics only to be surprised the happy carnival tune goes on to mention racist abuse against the indigenous Brazilian population with pillories and murders.

Indeed! A good portion of our music at that time merge happy tunes with lyrics about struggling, when not subtle poetics to escape censorship.

The irony is that 1 of these games' plots is US soldiers going in to prevent a coup within' North Korea, b/c the govt. directs fund from the military to civilian projects & it upsets a General who at 1 point, attempts to deploy warheads against his own country.

We'll just ignore the fact the multiplayer aspect of these games also involve players being on terrorist teams to win matches.

We apparently need a bad legal takes thread. Bad legal takes are so hot right now.
I've been saying this repeatedly throughout the thread (even as I stomp all over it with my own dumb tweets). These takes are memetically cartoonish but don't really match the thread's topic.

How can Charlie say Trump has been outlawed from social media when he has his own pathetic blog "communications platform" sitting right there?

Rog won the internet yesterday far as I'm concerned.

BTW I wonder how long it'll be before someone refers to as Candi Owens as "Foxy Brown"?

If that worked as a defense, it would beg for prosecution of individuals at Fox News and The President.
It won't. And that's good, because I'm really uncomfortable with Fox News being put in a position where it has to defend itself against government action when the super high bar of legitimate malice isn't proven.

Of course, that isn't meant to be taken as a defense of Fox News, rather it's a defense against legitimate threats to free speech. I consider Fox News to be absolute ****ing garbage. It's nothing more than part of the propaganda arm of the GOP, which is itself absolute ****ing garbage.

I suppose it's an improvement over where his thumb usually resides.
