Disney would likely want an extension. Just because. I mean...it's Disney. But they don't need it. Disney will still have the trademark and the copyrights for later incarnations will have yet to expire.

It's not likely that Disney starts losing money when and because the copyright isn't extended. As threats go, these are among the most toothless. But it's still super disconcerting that literal members of Congress--however crackbrained and feckless--are threatening to penalize private actors for protected speech.

I've seen that alleged but I've also read accounts that place her at the scene to witness the act in part due to their already having been acquainted.
