Oops:

Apparently his response video to Thunburg was not scrubbed appropriately and tipped off Romanian authorities:

Was the gas station - with the Romanian flag decorations in the background - not enough of a clue?

They didn't have a timestamp on those but they did have one on the pizza box, as mentioned in the tweet. Last thing you want to do is release a video giving away your location.

I don't know Romania very well but...

90 seconds that took me! He's at pump #5. Contact OMV for the forecourt camera and then... done.

Of course you could just wait for the moron to out himself another way.

I understand where you are coming from here but the problem with that approach is you don't know when his picture of the Bugatti was taken. You just know when he posted it. The video, you know when it was taken and the pizza box helped identify a nearby location.

That's where the forecourt CCTV comes in (it's up above the entrance, to the left) - and the decorative lighting on the lamp-posts certainly suggest a festive period timing.

However he's saved a few cops a few hours of scrolling through to find a gold Bugatti (or one of 32 other cars, though I imagine the Bugatti would take the longest to fill up) by being even stupider. So... win-win.

How many of his 33 cars can he drive in a Romanian prison?

One of the most interesting things for me out of this whole ordeal is that there's a pizza place in Romania called Jerry's. I expect to find a Jerry's Pizza in Small Town America where Jerry is the town's friendly face that serves up super greasy pizza that goes great after a night at the local dive bar. I don't expect to find Jerry's Pizza in Romania.

Looking at their website though, they have some interesting combinations. Take one called "Ocean Pizza" which has tuna fish, corn, onions, and olives on it.
