I know this is going to make me sound incredibly old, but what the hell is up with Gen Z? They're becoming Boomers with the amount of crap they're spitting out. I've seen so many Gen Z posts from the past few days about kids in high school saying, "your body, my choice."

Connie vermin are groomers.

Kids have always been awful. Bullying has always been normalized through media. Add in the **** they hear from their trump parents or Fox News playing while they eat their breakfast and it’s not a surprise.

They go on social media and listen to people like Andrew Tate.

Vox and Atlantic have good pieces on it:

But...she was just fulfilling the will of the people. Less government and socialism, right?
Reprehensible, but I'm not sure this is the thread for it.

I'm soo happy that I was born in 2000, because it means that I can see through the bs.

The sheer number of ill-considered takes posted and then walked back two posts later after very mild scrutiny indicates that seeing "through the bs" is not part of the inborn skillset.

You see if I said this to you you'd ban me. In case you weren't aware of the context, my birth year of 2000 means that I'm a Gen Zedder but no-one will say that I am because I'm not quite young enough. For this reason, I do not watch or listen to people like Andrew Tate so I'm not a misogynist by any means. If I was younger and more impressionable, I would likely not be able to see that toxic masculinity for what it is and just accept it as "normal". The kids that are being soo disrespectful these days were born into the age of social media and internet connectivity, whilst I was not. Whether you like to believe it or not, my ability to see through the misogynistic "bs" is most definitely related to my birth date.

Unlikely - but then again it would be untrue, as I generally consider my views before I post them and then don't walk them back almost immediately after even the lightest of questioning. Whereas you have a habit of doing the opposite.

2000 is definitely in the Gen Y/Z crossover blur, so... this is a weird thing to say.

You think that being born in 2000 means you don't watch/listen to Andrew Tate?!

Do you think he has no 23-24 year old viewers at all?

Wait... now he has no fans older than 24 either? That probably comes as news to him, and to everyone else too - and you'd have a hard time explaining this survey:

The only way this can possibly be true is if everyone born in 2000 (or now also older somehow) also does this. And as we know that they don't, it isn't.

And here is 26-year old Nick Fuentes amplifying the "bs":

Tate himself is 37...

So instead of apologising, you dig your heals in. Nice.

I'm supposed to apologise for what now?

We don't even need to go back that far to an example where you made an ill-considered, bad take about immigration which fell apart under the lightest scrutiny possible and you walked it back.

That things were better before mass immigration, racial and gendered guilt activism and bankers screwed the economy.
Oh so immigration is not the root cause. It’s just one factor in a multi-faceted issue.
And before that there was the dumb thing in the Trump shooting thread, and before that there was the dumb thing in this thread about trans athletes...
Guess it was all a lie then. To be honest I'm too lazy to look into it so thank goodness you do. Helps me out a lot.
And this is a pattern of behaviour: ill-considered takes posted and then walked back two posts later after very mild scrutiny. Although sometimes it's as many as five posts.

It seems like you get taken in by "bs" and only realise it's "bs" when someone else checks for you and presents data. A lot.

Why do I need to apologise for that?

Why is that an issue? Am I not allowed to change my opinion? Do you want me to double down on my bad takes?

You're suggesting that I can't see through the bs of misogyny and I must therefore be stupid.
