Things must have been so much easier when African-Americans didn't engage in political protests but Mr Carney was the 21st black man to receive the MoH, not the first. He spent 32 years delivering mail while waiting to receive it. Although Carney was the first to earn it, the first A-A MoH recipient was Robert Blake.

The AIPAC isn't Israel though, it's a pro-Isreal lobbying group made up of American citizens. They're really no different than the NRA. It doesn't mean that I agree with them, but it's not the same as a country directly meddling in elections.
