I assume this is one with a "fan made" livery? Love the Martini-esque look, but didn't think the Porsche band name could be in the game.
*there may be others with similar issues in this thread, but this one stands out to me most.

That last post demonstrates how this game is a visual work of art. 👍 With those color palettes and effects, I don't know how anyone could be concerned with how it will look on consoles.

Is there any camera functionality built into the photomode?

e.g. Can aperture and shutter speed be adjusted to change depth of field and blur

Also does anyone know the latest on whether consoles will have a photo or replay modes?

I'd also like to now how close the Photo Mode is to what's available on Forza/GT.
Forza Motorsport 4 had great settings options at the cost of restrictive camera movement (most notably in terms of height), whereas GT6 has great camera placement options at the cost of a limited number of settings.

@JohnScoonsBeard @PJTierney -- One of yesterday's PS4 videos includes a brief look at the photo mode menu. Here are your settings:
  • Color Filters
  • Focus Length
  • Focal Sharp Depth
  • Focal Fade Depth
  • Blur Intensity
  • Exposure
  • Field of View

Thanks. I did notice that and generally that access video was really good. It was a shame the video didn't show any playing with the settings other than the "instagram filters".

As someone who earns their living from photography I would say the terms used aren't particularly intuitive. In fact I'm not sure exactly what the couple mean or do (although I could guess) namely "focal sharp depth" and "focal fade depth". Would anyone with access be able to explain what they do to the image please? Obviously aperture F numbers are also not the most obvious to non photo types so I'm not saying reality is any better :)

I'd love to see an example or two of the extremes of those two settings.

Focal sharp depth is where the sharp focus envelope begins, for example, you could blur out the foreground, and get sharper further into the image, or bring the sharp focus right to the front of the image. Focal fade depth is how long the range of sharp focus there is in the image, or the end of the envelope, if you like. You can make the whole image sharp, or decrease it to a small area around a drivers helmet.

Hey can someone take a photo of a full 45 car field? Just so us console boys can get a taste of what we're getting? :D

This was made with 55 but couldnt get 'all' captured... s/f line is at the "le mans" sign ;)

Ah, the mists are clearing. Personally speaking it would come across as much more professional for the game to use the common photographic terms "Focal Point" and "Depth of Field".
