I quite liked it. Particularly the way it looks into the corners for you. It's the animation on the gear changes that bother me.
if you use helmet cam you get look to apex as well. not sure why you'd ever have it go so far back that you can see your crotch but some folk would enjoy that sorta thing I'm sure

Looking into the corners is one thing, but having the field of view get wider as you speed up is very distracting.

A couple for your 420 enjoyment.Don't know what build their on,SMS, this is 987

Only the players car has head light working and that too is not as I would like. I wish they could fix the animation of open wheel cars. Too much of steering lock and they never use take their hands of steering wheel in full lock as well.

Great vídeo from VVV again, finally some 60fps content :D

Looked incredibly smooth with clean weather. On rain, with a lot of cars, think i noticed some fps drops, but it could be bad rendering from youtube as well. Still looks exellent.

This was the final nail on the coffin for me.

Just waiting for the game to go up on the us PSN to preorder it :D

So I watched that VVV video and is it just me or does the Formula Gulf look a lot like the old Star Mazda Car?

Yes, extremely similar, but they are based around a similar idea - a base-level introduction to aerodynamically-enhanced single-seater.

So everytime i pause the Team VVV PS4 video when cars are going round a corner i still see that god awful ghosting? Old build he's still posting? Please tell me it is as i just wont get on with the game if all the cars are double image.

edit: Newer build than the others going off the description :(

yes if you focus on objects like fence posts or lamp posts or signs there seems to be a double image here but who knows if it's in the game or just youtube? if you don't look for it, as in keep your eyes on the road, it looks great. if they put it in to achieve a smoother experience it's a small price to pay but will be interesting if it affects the photo mode.

Or capture equipments

Could just be youtube

Problem is the Xbox 1 vids from him have no such issue yet every single PS4 vid has it, Also the screenshots from Eurogamer also had it on PS4 but not on Xbox 1, Starting to get a little worried now.

yeah it's pretty extreme if you want it like that. I'll play around with it a bit but no way want the viewpoint that far back at top speed. I almost thought he was going to warp somewhere when he sped up lol
The examples were overdone to make it clear what happens. I'd run with FOV that narrows with speed. That gives you a wider view in slow turns which may help with maneuvering in traffic, and when the speed increases you get the effect of focusing far ahead.

In TD:FRL there's dynamic FOV and I went with it and didn't even notice after a short while. I though it worked well there, so I'll experiment with it in pCARS to compensate for the lack of triple screens...
