That's amazing! I really like the god rays as well, but am I the only one who finds it unrealistic on the manner how they shine into the cockpit?
I hope the console version looks that good. I didn't think the lighting in the cockpit looked that bad. It looks like the green hell has been polished some. Just in the past few builds it seems.

Nice driving, i can watch Ring all the time.

@ChrisWAFC, i don't remember, it was discussed, and we know both Smarglass and Companion have some limitation, but hard to tell is it coming to pCARS from the begging. Maybe as future addon? I really like the idea of Smarglass feature in Forza Horizon 👍

McLaren Mp4 12C at Suzuka without drivers hands and turned off virtual wheel.

Racing in terrible weather can be sweet

. Ginetta GT3 at Hocke.

completely wrong. No way you can drive like that in a wet track at that speed.

That was probably the worst video about project CARS I've ever seen. You can barely hear him plus these little snippets:

"My system is old, but the graphics look hazy and is taxing on my PC" No crap
"It doesn't feel as realistic" as opposed to what
"It doesn't feel like Game Stock Car" oh I see now
"Tire model/physics do not feel realistic, but maybe it is my wheel" wut, FFB doesn't have anything to do with physics
"Don't buy it until it releases" uhhh really?
"If you are a sim fan, you wont be a fan of this game" Now that is biased at all.

I wonder if that was a up to date build. 804. Yeah that guy was about...... oops I about said something I shouldnt. He said it comes out sometime in october. Does this guy have a clue. Was he really even playing the game or just adding commentary to some video. Yeah he was starting to get on my nerves. O well we to the good with the terrible.

Hmm this game was made from sim fans for sim fans am I right? So it must be a sim or not? With sim I mean physics. So, I read quite often that it feels not like a sim. It feels a bit arcadeish. So I wonder what is correct now? Do the WMD members became so used to the game (and became fanboys) that they say "it has sim physics", no matter if it feels arcaedish? Or are the people who say "it has no sim physics" fanboys of other games and give pcars no chance?

If Pcars have no sim physics, I would be damn dissapointed. I builded a brand new PC, almost for this game and I hope it delivers what it promises.

Sure, fanboys everywhere.

What the hell are sim physics anyway. iracing, GSC and AC all feel substantially different, yet all of them are labeled as having sim physics. pcars feels very close to AC imho but others claim one is arcade and one the ultimate sim heaven. I give up on sim racers and their opinions. Look at the video of the dude claiming its not sim physics, is there any car behaviour to be seen in there that doesnt seem realistic? He doesnt even say what exactly is the problem (besides his other statements clearly indicating that he has no idea about pcars in general), so I cant be bothered giving a 🤬 . Sorry random dude with a crappy pc and a video recording tool.

These days it´s all about fanboys. Fifa vs PES, GT vs Forza, NBA2K vs NBA (EA), Call of Duty vs Battlefield, Apple vs Android, Playstation vs Xbox and so on. Most of the fanboys dont give the other product any chance and the only thing they do is bashing the other product. So this does distort the reality a lot.

I for me, I enjoy most of them and test them all. I had an iPhone and an Android. I had an Xbox and an PS3. I played Fifa and PES. I played GT and Forza...

The only thing I hope for is, they nail Project Cars. It´s time that PD and T10 gets serious competition.

yeah I love it when people say the physics in this game are terrible. are with any game for that matter. have they ever been in a race car. Have they ever been in that exact same car on that exact same track. Isnt that the only way to really tell if the physics are correct or not. Well I'm going to believe that the physics are spot on. I'm never going to drive real cars like these in project cars. I'm not going to drive myself crazy thinking ( I wonder if the physics are right. Are they lying to me) it's crazy. Here's an idea. If we could only get 5 professional drivers that have never played or heard of the game, play it with cars they know, on tracks they know and give a 100% honest opinion. If they say it's not even close would you feel cheated. Would you lose respect for the drivers that have said it's like the real thing. Man this is getting deep. There's one thing for sure. Something tells me these guys at SMS gave and still giving everything they have at making it real because that's what they wanted. And to be honest I am a fan boy of Project Cars and never played the game yet. But I believe that SMS wanted to create something as real as it gets. And from what I've seen so far, I think they have done it. To be honest, I'm ready to woop all yalls butt on the track. Ooooo hell smack talk. Anybody else agree.

If a sim fundamentalist plays ISImotor stuff all his life, he'll find this engine a bit different, which in his mind, that's branded as arcade.

I'll give my opinions on how good the Ginetta G40 and Caterham R500 are compaired to the real versions. Empty Box calls it a Sim I would take that guys word for it despite that it feels like he drones on about it not being to his tastes.

I like how he says 'Don't buy it until it releases'. Unless he knows something I don't, that's the only way to buy it...
I'm not going to listen to him. I'm heading out tomorrow to buy the game before it releases just to prove him wrong:lol:

You have to take everything with a grain of salt, even the overwhelmingly positive stuff. ISR thinks the game is pretty good and that's a pretty ringing endorsement to me, Darin seems to be pretty on the mark with most stuff IMO. But I look at everything I see/hear/read with a critical eye, and most random Youtube videos from people I've never heard of I don't put a lot of stock in. I don't expect PCars to be perfect and I expect it to get better over time, I just expect it to be a really good game with really good physics, not the greatest game ever with the greatest physics ever although it certainly has that potential.

Certainly it won't be perfect (what is?) but I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you experience with an open mind. And it will get better over time too for sure, I know the devs are a bit pressed with time remaining & things still left to do but you don't need to fear of "bad" physics in any way. Personally (fwiw) I really like the physics, there for sure are things to tweak still and some cars are still better imo than others. But then again, I've never driven most of the cars here so I need to be somewhat careful with my opinions and be aware how well founded they are.

Still, the main thing for me after seeing the development taking place for over 2 years now is that I've learnt to know how the devs think and what they are aiming for. And I know they will fix every flaw that can be found and be proven to be a flaw (because an 'imo' is not always good enough evidence) as soon as possible. There is absolute aim for 100% realism I can guarantee that. (And yes you can have assists to make the experience fit to your skill level but that is only a good thing.)

Btw, it has been somewhat unreal experience to have such a direct route straight to the devs, just now the last few days there has been many comments (from me included) that the current newest tire on the FA feels too grippy (to be fair some also liked it), and now we have a new tire to test in next build as I see a comment from the main tire guy:

New R8 tire went in. It might be a step towards satisfying both schools of thought (and fixes the tipping problem...at least some). It is lower grip, so some more corners are, well, corners. But it still has the sort of feel the R7 has. Just fixed up and less grip.
edit: it also does tend towards mid corner understeer, but setup can address that. Fine tuned default balance is not the project on this tire yet.

^I know I shouldn't post dev posts here but I think there's not much harm done with this one.. :)

So to be clear, the feedback is being taken into consideration but for sure they don't 'jump' to our whistle.. just gauge the general feedback from us mere mortals (that have never driven such cars) and then if there is room after the data they have, and the feedback they get from the consultants (and of course their own view as they are often far more knowledgeable and experienced in motorsports / car & tire physics than most gamers) it will make a difference.

Btw, it's a great feeling to go test new tires after you've given feedback and see and feel the difference you've been a part of making happening... I hope pcars2 will still be developed through WMD so you guys can jump in and be a part of it as well. :) No more shouting from the sidelines.. :P

Tire screetch balancing & tweaking will be one of the last things to go in, because they are directly drawn from the physics and the physics / tire properties are still changing..
