Dont think so. And why should you want to do that anyway, the game will be adequately optimized for the PS4, so no need to turn stuff off to improve performance.

I've only what I've seen in GT games to go off of but PlayStation historically has struggled with aliasing (?) where smoke/particle effects are concerned. I find it jarring and it effects photomode too, which I hate.

The other reason is that I prefer how it looks with no smoke. I don't think it adds all that much to the experience, a puff off smoke with a lock up etc sure but a little oversteer here or there in racing conditions doesn't normally result in smoke anyway.

Just wondered :) I was also curious as to just how configurable PCars would be on console compared to the PC.

I was talking about only the visuals on GT replays... we all know the sound o GT sucks(but on Ayrton Senna's cars it is better).

Doppler effect on GT sounds good too. I mean, the effect, not the audio samples. It is well balanced, sounds like a car coming and going away.

In PCars, the effect really needs a overhaul.

So much difference between direct download and to watch the videos on YouTube. Thanks for the link, the game looks amazing on Ultra. Hope on the PS4 is close to that(altought i think really playing the game on PS4 will looks better. To play it is always better than in videos.

Oh God, the audio on GT6 is so bad, they sould be ashmed.

But in visuals, is impressive how GT6 is amazing, even on PS3. Of course, PCars has more details in the track and sorrounds, especially to represente the wet track.

After watching some videos on Gamersyde I have become quite underwelmed. The replays need a lot of work and it all seems very floaty. The cars seem to hover above the asphalt.

I can't judge the game of course from watching a couple of videos but it isn't really encouraging even with the enthusiasm of some here on GTP.

I will keep an eye out in here to see how the final version works out on PS4 before even considering a purchase somewhere in the future. Currently it hasn't pursuaded me to buy a PS4 though.

Comparison of Project CARS Vs Gran Turismo 6 (Gt6) at Brands Hatch circuit with the BMW M3 GT in rain.

GT6 holds up really well in the graphics department but soundwise pCars is 10.000 miles ahead.

Do you mean the cars hover in replay or when racing?
