Welcome To The Race Of Champions​

Information:
Hello and welcome to 'The Race Of Champions'. Some of you may have seen this event on tele before or even been to Wembley to watch it this year. With Event 2 coming to a close, I thought I'd start something to keep peoples interest high. This is a PAL competition. If you dont have a PAL copy, sorry. With no world event its cant be organised.


The Format:
Race drivers are pair in head - to - head races until we are down to a winner. All pairings are picked at random so no division / rankings are taken into account.


The Cars:
Each round a car and track will be selected. In your pair you are left to organise your time and date. No tuning will be allowed in the competition. As its about the fastest racer, and you will all be on a level playing feild. Its about your driving ability not what your tune can do.


Competitor Names:
Please sign up. This is a fun event so no matter your skill level see how far you can get. Driving raw cars is harder and will improve your ability. Ill get the list moving with my name and feel free to copy and paste the list and add you name. The more the better.

Interesting, and may I make a suggestion? Rather than forcing people to use the default setups, could we at least have a "standard" tune (perhaps made by one of the tuners here or whatever) that everyone has to use? It would make more sense than having to put up with the bad gearing in some of the cars just for the sake of keeping the level playing field.
It would also perhaps give the tuners something to do more often, especially if you're picking the "best" tune each week.

Just a thought anyway. I might sign up for this later, especially as my uni term comes to a close and I finish my assignments.

i think Ardius got a point about the tuning. It’s also impossible to be sure if someone didn’t tune his car. That’s my biggest concern. And regardless the capability of the driver it will make everybody a bit faster. For example, as a div 5 driver you not gonna beat a div 1 driver cos tuning is allowed. Races will be a bit more exiting if tuning is allowed. IMO

only 1 thing:
i really like the idea of NO tuning allowed... we will have only skill vs skill (besides pad vs wheels in some cases) on the track thats just great.. no setups to save any soul.. thats why i love F430 N1.. pure skill! but how do we know if someone isnt using some kind of tune? only trusting?

From some weeks a tune can be provided for everyone to use. If the car is a nightmare stock I will sort a tune out from a garage 👍 Some cars may not need it.

And trust yeah. Cant really see it being a problem though. Whats the point in taking part if your going to cheat to win. We should be able to spot it though 👍 If any cheating is found, they will be eliminated from the competition.

thanks! thats ok for me... but im saying this because i've been in many events, not only in this forum, and theres always problems when the organizers cant control everything. example on Event 2.. rules are well made so no one can cheat.. its impossible for anyone to it without being discovered! but on this terms someone might escape, dunno...

just for the record.. Im not saying someone will do it (otherwise.. how can a man sleep with that in mind!?!?) but i want that everything run well and fair for everyone 👍
