The splits dont show up on the best lap replay but IIRC you can get them from the timing screen. I'll check tomorrow and post. Might have crack with the Enzo while Im at it.

Sounds good! Enzo understeers even more than the F1 and not as bad on the wheel spinning, but it can surprise you on some turns. I've only done 3 laps on it and got a 7:25 which can be greatly improved in my opinion. The gear ratio is just as bad.

Nice! That car handles marvelously with full downforce. I know for certain a faster time can be set. My lap wasn't as clean as it could have been and I was probably a little conservative on a few corners. Love the car.

It sure does. After giving the F1 a few tries that thing feels like its glued to the track.

Douqa, much respect for the F1 lap. That was outstanding stuff 👍

Amuse lap update: Im still leaving time out there but I just posted a 6:58.219 :D I dont know how much more Ill drive tonight but I have to get to the 57's. Its more than possible. Hell, I think 56's are possible.Anyway, Ill record the 6:58 lap and post the vid soon.

Managed a 6'59.784 in the Mclaren F1. Stock weight and limited to 632bhp.

Wow, that was incredible driving. You make it look way too easy. Insane.

I'm having trouble just getting my McLaren F1 time below 7:10... that was pretty impressive to watch. Congrats.

I was up by 2 seconds on my 7:03 time heading into Brunnchen and...I beached it..ugh! Douqa you have me at the first sector still. I need to figure out how to grab more time. Getting faster through there though.

Very nice nervous! I'm done with the F1 for tonight. Going to pick it back up tomorrow. I've found some weak spots of mine in Douqa's video which I believe I can fix and get myself under the 7min marker.

Douqa's vid was amazing. He is a BEAST! I really hope you make it with the F1. Would love to see that vid. I'm not sure If I can do it with the F1. I need to relax with it a bit more. Who knows? Ill keep pushing the Amuse to see how low I can get it 👍

I counted two wheelspins, which makes you human
Outstanding driving lesson.

I'd like to see an Enzo driven by you, now :nervous:

Does anyone else think that a stock McLaren F1 with all assists off on Nurburgring is the toughest test of skill in the game? I'm starting to think so... this is driving in the purest. Love it.

Awesome! The best thing about the ring is that you know you can find 1 second easy. I'm sure you'll break it within your next few complete laps.

Here it is. Not the best lap by any means but still pretty fast. Ill get another one up after go faster.

Amuse S2000 GT1 - 6:58.219

OP updated. Congrats to those that have broken 7 min. Before anyone asks the order of the leader board is not determined by your time but the chronological order of the videos submitted and approved.

To everyone else (including myself), keep trying.

Great lap nervous!

Got closer tonight with a 7:00.439. I had a 1sec advantage over my 7:00.818 time until I went a little wide on eiskurve and lost 5 tenths of a second....Ended up finishing 4 tenths ahead of it. Ugh..

I knew this challenge would be fun :)

Definitely! Thanks for the idea & thread.

I have received a lesson on just how much I still have to learn on Nordschleife. I had no problems golding the AMG Challenge, but this one is certainly an awesome challenge. I'm using the McLaren F1, currently I can consistently get low 7:10s.

Quick question: is everyone else setting 'Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge' to Real? If not, I wouldn't mind setting it to Low- it should cut down on the number of aborted laps due to small mistakes of mine.

He he he... thats the idea. I wanted to discourage corner cutting and make people drive more like you would in real life... afraid to push it to the limit. And it is on that edge of fear that you will find speed and victory. Wow... I got a little too poetic there. :scared:

Everyone is using real grip. As long as you don't touch the grass your ok! haha. Keep pushing!

Was up 9 tenths on my time heading up to pflanzgarten II...all I had to do was finish the lap and boom...sub 7. I've been pretty flawless in the last two sectors. But then I hit pflanzgarten II full speed, hit a bump, lose the ability to correct the direction of the car, and cut straight through the corner - red-lining my time... I can't believe it haha. I've been knocking on the door all night, but small errors are catching me.

Today was not the day, but tomorrow awaits!

yeah i've kinda come to a consensense that the F1, Amuse, Veryon and ZZII are the only cars that can do, I've been tinkering with the SV at the best i can manage (spun it at the start of the carousal, then went of the track 3 times and then buried it into a wall) was a red 7:25, I'm pretty sure that i could get 15-20 seconds better if I was perfect

Was running the F1 around the ring this morning but with a DS3 its neigh on impossible to keep the wheels from spinning in 1-3 gear or an occasional 4th if I'm powering out of a sweeping turn

Unfortunately without a wheel i think the sub 7 time is unachievable for me :(

On a side note: I tried an idea that seemed to work for me.....i got my tuned Gallardo and ran a sub 7 minute time (6:54 to be exact)
Then I uploaded the ghost lap and preceded to race the ghost
Funny enough I went much faster dropping about 1-1.5 seconds every checkpoint with my main goal to just keep the ghost car in my field of view :)

S2000 GT1? Really? Not a production car...it's a GT1 modified street car...no way it's a production car to be as good as it shouldn't be. Try a real production s2000 and see if you can get it under 7 mins...bet you can't. That simple.

I've done it! 6:59.602 with the F1...I'll get a video up this evening.

@VYPA - ZR1 probably has no chance stock. I haven't tried it yet though.

Good run with the F1. I haven't been able to play GT5 in over a month because of a lens problem, but hopefully that get fixed in the next two days. I'll try it myself and see how close I can get.
