That evo chase could of went so much longer.. but dinner :(... sooo.. i just roleplayed that my brakes failed..

Another excellent lobby, even if my crap internet meant I spent half of it trying to connect to the party.

Speaking of which, this was just outside the GCPD HQ on SP while waiting for Open Patrol to start:

I'll have my usual MW-esque chase video up in about an hour or 2

Another day, another fantastic lobby, this time hosted by the one and only... Schwindelig @ZDUPH! Thanks to @cartrucks @JASON_ROCKS1998 @jwesson1 @DurWinning @TheKitten @ToyGTone for joining. These sessions are definitely getting longer time-wise, but with that, the fun also increases. Nice work today.

Excellent footage as usual, Jason. I like that "cooldown" spot at 3:05 too. 👍 (Don't forget to add black stripes to that Urus too!)

Great Lobby as always. Reminds me quite of GT6. Except with a lot more humor ! Sucessful for lobby for me :D especially getting that RS4 to the location.

Sorry I couldn't make it today, power went out at the college for about 3 hours :grumpy:

@TheKitten you missed being pursued in yesterday's lobby by the best police car there is, the Reliant Regal :D.

Thanks. I really didn't think that hiding spot would even work, I figured at least 1 cop would've seen me park in that driveway but I guess I made enough distance to stay out of sight of everyone. Was an incredibly fun chase in the M3, even if it was quite short.

I wished if that "cool down" part wasn't cut, i just wanted to see myself slowly pass in front of you.

I wanted to show your Charger driving past, but it didn't really fit with the music/radio chatter I had recorded.

Well from watching @JASON_ROCKS1998 Video it looks like my hiding in driveways tactic has caught on.

Another thing i noticed is that now we're having more people join our lobbies. The Open Patrol game mode seems to work better for us than the Most Wanted game mode.

Think this is due to a few reason such as :

Everyone likes to sit around where the starting area is to get in on the chase earlier on.

If your sitting in one place hoping the chase heads towards you but then goes another way, you have to make your way across the map and by most times the chase has ended.

Not sure if everyone starting in the same stock car is a good thing for the Most Wanted game mode due to once the Cops know they can catch you, Your only hope of getting way or making it to the set destination is hoping you choose the right route.

My thoughts on this is maybe we could have :

One round were we're all in the same stock car (Like last night all starting in the Audi RS4) then another round where we chase one of the players own cars.

Let me know what you think of this.

Panda.

I did see quite a few people hiding in driveways with some success so I figured it was worth a shot. Seemed to work quite well for whoever used the Lotus 340R in one of the Surfers lobbies, and ToyGTOne used that tactic quite a few times last night in his FPV Ute. It probably works better when you use a trafffic car, but finding one like I did, where you can hide away from the road outside of a cops line of sight, still worked really well.

Panda used the 340R when I was in my anime M2.

It was rather easy losing you guys in my Evo  At points i was literally just driving normal... I felt like i was in a Fast & The Furious movie.

I think both Open Patrol and Most Wanted work fine. MW might need some rules added (like you can't have all the cops pretty much surrounding the racer at the start), but other than that, I like how we've been doing it so far.

In my eyes, choosing the correct strategy (as both a racer and cop) is part of the fun. The racer has plenty of different routes they can take, but then there are also 4-5 other cops ready and waiting to pounce. The cops will have to spread out and hope they are in a good position. I'm not saying the cops have to be on the complete opposite side of the map, but you never know what path the racer will choose. There's also no guarantee the racer will pass by you, at that point you will need to move and provide backup to the starting officer.

The main reason I enjoy MW is because of how unpredictable it is. Sometimes, the racer has basically little chance of escaping because of the cops' strategies. Other times, the racer can completely fool the cops and run away without a single scratch on their car. That's my take, at least.

As @ZDUPH said, the person who usually follows the route gets there... I would next time to try to take the longest route possible

Edit: Ever think doing a patrol on Blizzard Mountain?

Not everyone has or will want to buy the expansion.

Didn't bother buying the expansion pack because I already spent $100 for this game. Don't want to spent $25-35 on a snowy map and possibly Porsche cars. Maybe when it get cheaper.
(This along with GT5 are the two most games I ever spent my money on).

Which class is that Huracán BTW?

Some alterations and additions made to the club:
-
A few rules have been reworded to make more sense.
- The rule about hitting objects has been changed to include rolling and flipping.
Hitting a civilian, static object (wall, barrier, etc), at 100 mph or higher or rolling/flipping over is considered a wreck. Small shunts/nudges are OK.
- The Byron Bay and Surfers Paradise maps have been edited with street names. Check them out by clicking here or going to the website's event page and pressing the 'VIEW MAPS' button.

I get a feeling that "Highway" and "Great Ocean Road" open patrol map are going to be forgotten and probably removed. It doesn't help that it's only one road at most of the map rather than a whole area where you could have some freedom driving around.

Ether way, nice job on those 2 maps, @Ameer67. however i would like to see Byron Bay get more detailed since i don't find 3 roads to be enough.
--------
While reading that site once again, i noticed this:
BUSTING THE RACER
Once the racer’s speed is reduced to 15 mph or less, they are considered busted and fines will be issued. If a racer or police officer runs into a civilian vehicle, or hits a building/structure at over 100 mph, or rolls/flips over, their vehicle is totaled.
My Land Rover will be my first ever car to retire from my lineup or else i will end up totaling it right away. :P (Yep, didn't know this applies to Police as well).
