I 99% agree... I have seen at least 3 pictures that are realistic.

I can say that most of the pictures have some sort of an ARTISTIC edge to them, but finding 3 for every 10 pages of photos, just proves that people have a different interpretation of reality.

out of interest, which pictures would you be talking about here?

There are at least 2 on this page... one is Quoted at the top of the page... another is the Skyline...

One of the tricks to using motion blur, is not necessarily to max out the value, the more subtle it is, the better chance of achieving a realistic photo. If the car is parked, motion blur is unrealistic... instead, opt for a focal blur, and again using the max value for this will achieve a fail.

I see a few pictures that are close to reality, if they were to be better cropped, basically there are a few spots that detract from the photo's feel...

One of the biggest issues I have with GT5 is that the cars have ugly plates on them... they remove the immersion, and are incredibly unrealistic looking in photos. You will never see me intentionally add focus to the plate... if possible, I choose a car based on plate location, and take my photos from there...

For most people, Photography in GT5 is an after thought, but for me, it is my basis for owning the game. I would expect to get criticized on my racing, because its bad, but my photo's show that I think ahead...

Thanks 👍

and now there is an rx-7 that seems to fit the bill... a little on the big side, but whatevs. keep them rolling in like that.

Nice Shot! I don't know if people are taking my advice, or if its just coincidence, but the quality seems to be getting closer together... again, some folks still want to just post pictures somewhere.

but I can say honestly that there has been a HUGE jump in the last few posts!

Who died and made you realistic photo thread king? :/

I'm new to the photomode side of the game, but after looking through each and every one of the photographs on this thread, I am tempted to try my hand at it.
In my humble opinion, some of the photographs are average, most are very good, and a few are simply amazing, and could truely be descibed as photo realistic, dare is say, even better looking than the real thing. If it was easy to get a truely realistic shot everytime, it would be less fun perhaps.

And @ Shinzah,
wonderpill offered his opinion in a fair and honest way, and also offered some constructive tips to help others. I would say his advice is worth heeding, as i have also noticed a lot of great shots weakened by less detailed trackside features and people. I personally don't like the use of filters in a realistic photo. Some of these shots are arty rather than truely realistic. (I'm not a photo king either btw so feel free to ignore this).

"Fair and Honest" is not saying Reality is subjective and then telling people what they view as reality is wrong.

There are better ways to offer helpfull tips in photomode then to demand that people conform to someone elses view of reality.
