Just took these. :)

I've got to ask, did you do any editing to those and if so what kind? I only ask because the first two especially remind me very much of some old real photographs my wife had from the late 70s of her old Trans-am, the way the colours seem to have faded and such. Still, awesome pics!

Here's a couple of my Mitsubishi Pajero Rally Raid car (or whatever it's actually called) going up the Eiger, the Eiger Nordwand G Trail course to be exact :). I was going to post them in the Standard Car thread but after looking at these two I thought they actually turned out pretty realistic looking for a standard car..

Very nice Bello.

Thanks. :)

Yes, I edited them to give them that classic feel, it looks nice when you use classic cars. :) I used Photoshop to change the colors and added a tiny bit of noise. And nice Pajero. :D

Uhm, the first one looks better unedited to be honest.
The second one looks slightly better edited (although the saturation doesn't fit with the trees), but the difference isn't really that big in both.

So I took a bunch of picks of my little Honda S800 RSC race car on some runs through the Historic Car seasonal thingy, took the original shots using the game's Sepia filter and added a little light film grain and borders (using Photobucket.com tools) to give the effect of an old photo but it dawned on me that the actual quality of the car really wasn't that bad at all.

Here's one with just the game's Sepia filter on, no additional editing.

And here's a colour version of first pic from above..

:D Matter of taste, I love the Z (although I was driving the Lexus, both pictures are from the same race).

Thanks!

How'd you do that?

Well, pretty hard to describe but:
  • post treatment under Lightroom 3,
  • white balance modifications,
  • decrease saturation,
  • ehance exposure (just a little),
  • increase blue and green saturation,
  • decrease red and yellow saturation,
  • play with print toning levels (in this case, some purple in dark tones and green/yellow in light tones),
  • add some grain.

I need Lightroom, seriously.

If you're not real photographer, you don't need Lightroom, seriously. Even if you are photographer, you only need lightroom if you do alot of work with your pics (from importation to web diffusion and printing, up to organization and post treatment).

Here are a few from my "Bob" racing in the Touring Car Championship. BTW, these were taken with panning mode 3 for the ones that always say to use it LOL.

Here Bob is peeking to the inside just before the chicane. He backed off, and got him on going into the last turn of the GP coarse.

Bob is just out for a Sunday cruise after getting the lead:
