I find his critisizm constructive, since this thread is, afterall, named the Realistic Racing Car thread
Well, I disagree with you there.
I personally thing that a generalising statement like "the exposure's too high, the contrast and saturation are too high, and miniature definitely is NOT realistic" is not really contructive, when talking about more than 15 images.
I study graphic design, so I get critiqued constantly, but it's always one on one. A professor will never just address the class in general and say that the delivered work was crap. If he did, noone would know what they did wrong themselves, or where they could've improved.
My main point is, that I would've liked to see AOS- contribute to the thread in a more positive way, considering the fact that he probably knows a thing or two about image-editing. He wouldn't make a comment like that if he didn't, right?
I'm also sure that AOS- is probably a nice guy in real life, so let me make it clear that I have nothing against him personally
Maybe it's just me taking stuff to seriously, it's been a bit stressful at uni the last few weeks
Anyway, something more 'on-topic'...
Maybe a nice tip for people here that are just getting to grips with the GT5 photomode:
Try and use camera-positions/angles that could actually be used in real life.
With car commercials or adds, they sometimes use pretty extreme angles, by using a rig on the back of a pick-up or whatever.
With racing cars however, pictures are usually taken from the side of the track, since photographer are only allowed to stand at certain spots along the track.
That's just my personal opinion though, so feel free to just ignore it.
Especially since there's some pictures in the thread that would've been really hard to take in real life, but due to composition etc. still look pretty darn sexy.
