I must the only one that doesn't like it. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but it doesn't tickle my fancy.

White absolutely isn't the colour for this car. And there's something about the front.

Any word on availability and price?

Sadly I bet it will be out of the price range I'm looking in. :indiff:

Yeah white doesn't do it any justice at all, I'm surprised they unveiled it in that colour when it looks stunning in Blue.

A truly pretty car in an era where they don't really exist.

Fine work, Alpine. Please don't make any changes.

Engine wise, a turbo triple with 150bhp would be all I'd want.

I read somewhere that it's expected to be in a price range similar to the Porsche Cayman. That's an expectation though, I don't think it actually came from Renault / Alpine.

An optional shift stick would be nice. I'm no fan of flappy paddles.

It looks like one of those budget japanese or korean concepts in white. Doesnt look right to me, looks great in blue though

Maybe it is the white that doesn't seem appealing to me. It does look better in blue. But not much. I'd own it in blue, but it wouldn't be my first choice, that's for sure.

Will be a great deal more than that with a 4.5 second 0-60. That figure suggests a power/weight ratio in the mid-to-upper 200bhp/ton range (like an Alfa 4C/Cayman GT4/Exige S). But nobody is saying anything just yet until the full production car debuts.

Another higher power car. If it's got light weight, why does it need excess power and target a more crowded end of the market? The original did just fine without it.

Reports say it's only going to have up to 300hp and a claimed curb weight of 1000-1100 kg.

Beautiful design, nods at the A110 but not retro, looks like it could be a modern classic. Hope they will do a cabriolet version. :D

Alpine has sold fewer than 30,000 cars in its entire 61-year existence.

Much as a tiny, lightweight car with not a lot of power would be lovely, it'd also be unlikely to add greatly to that figure.

Making a car that can show a Cayman or a 4C a clean pair of heels is likely to be a better path to success, not least because aiming at a premium end of the market is more profitable than trying to do something at say, the MX-5 or even the Elise level.

And it's not really a crowded market. Sports cars of this sort, and around the kind of price that people expect this to cost, amount to about 200k sales worldwide, according to Alpine's figures. That's a fairly small number, and the cars occupying the space are quite disparate.

You've got stripped-down stuff like the 4C or Exige, or heavier, more luxurious options like the Cayman and Evora. Alpine seems to be aiming somewhere between the two - lighter and nimbler than a Cayman, but not borderline-unusable as an everyday car like the Lotus and Alfa.
So it's been confirmed to be mid-engined?
Yep.
Errh... how'd it smell like, then?
Well-fed journalists.

The last Aston Martin Vanquish is beyond beautiful. The last time I saw it at a car show my brother and I spent 15 minutes just staring at it and came back later to stare at it some more.

Looks absolutely beautiful in Forza and moreso in reality.

The Vision logo is in the Vision GT font.

Aaaand it's pretty much identical to the last concept... ... I am entirely satisfied. I also think it's good they decided on a mid engine layout rather than rear. Would I be right in assuming the 4.5 second 0-100KM/H time is for the sportier model with all the extra performance bits and bobs like pictured?

I must say that the standard version they're showing looks so good that it could handle like a donkey, and I'd probably still like it. :P

Looking good. Glad to see more competition in the Cayman/4C/Exige segment, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this stacks up.

The French has always imbued their own sense of design, flair and quirkiness in their cars, I wonder if this will continue that.

The model pictured is the earlier Alpine Celebration concept in the livery it wore at Goodwood (you can still see the silver sticker it wore to go up the hill, below the mirror), rather than a jazzed-up version of the Alpine Vision. Alpine hasn't confirmed a higher-performance model, so the 4.5-second time is for the Vision road car.

Ah, that makes more sense. It has just grown a bigger wing since the last picture I saw of it.

The Alpine Vision has been hinted by Alpine designers since last year, check GT6 Alpine Vision GT video feature in game.

Anyone feels that the Alpine Vision looks like Ridge Racer Type 4 car, the Age Solo ( also France ) 1st car, the Prophetie.
