Really? Even using the same picture?

I know.

Anyhow...

Hypno-disc.jpg

Name: Hypno-Disc

Class: Heavyweight combat robot

Autonomous: No

Bio: Hypno-Disc first appeared in Series 3 of Robot Wars with wonderful results. Its hugely powerful horizontal flywheel could literally shred many robots apart and it would finish runner-up in its first series to Chaos 2. In the next series it would receive updates including a self-righting mechanism, and the flywheel was updated with new blades and faster motors. In Series 4 and 5 it would get another Grand Final place with it reaching the semi finals for its last appearance in Series 6.

Turret.jpg

Name: Aperture Laboratories Turret

Class: Sentry turret

Autonomous: Yes

Bio: Employed by Aperture Science these turrets use a laser that acts as a motion sensor. They attack using four firearms that extend from their sides. They have a weakness as they can easily be disabled just by tipping them over.

I'm sure Razor was meant to be one of the house robots but didn't get the green light. I'm surprised there hasn't been any astromechs yet.

short-circuit-2-4.jpg

Name: Johnny 5, Number 5, SAINT Number 5

Type/Class: Proposed for Cold War destruction

Autonomous: You bet, but not without some "input".

Bio: One of five prototype robots built by two scientists for the U.S. military for Cold War uses. However, the scientists had other intentions for the robot. A demonstration for the robot takes place at the developers company, but is interrupted by a lightning storm. In the midst of it all, Johnny 5 gets hit by a power surge and malfunctions while it's charging. Because of an unrelated situation, Johnny 5 is moved off company grounds and wanders off. Number 5 then finds itself at a woman's residence, asking for "input". Once she gives Johnny 5 its "input", she then explains the nature of life and death to it, and it suddenly has respect for life and has lost its tendencies for destruction. Johnny 5, the two scientists, and the lady that helped Number 5, all try to escape from the military, and in the end they finally succeed. And they all lived happily ever after. :P

Jehuty.jpg

Name: Jehuty

Type/Class: Type C Orbital Frame

Autonomous: To a certain degree

Biography: One of two Orbital Frames produced for the Aumaan project, Jehuty has the ability to start or stop the space fortress and is also one of the most powerful orbital frames in existence. During it's construction on the Jupiter colony Antilia, an attack by BAHRAM happened where their target(s), was Jehuty and Anubis (which was also under construction at the time). BAHRAM successfully captured Anubis, but Jehuty was discovered by a civilian who successfully escaped with it.

Being that it's identical to Anubis, Jehuty also can also Zero Shift places making it very deadly to approach.

More info here.

MadCatColor72.jpg

Name: Mad Cat Mk. II, also known as Timber Wolf Mk. II

Type/Class: Assault class battle mech.

Autonomous: No

Bio: Designed and built by Clan Diamond Shark, the Mad Cat II was first introduced in 3060 and quickly became one of the best known Battle Mechs seen on the battlefields of the 31st century.

The 90 tonne assualt Mech, with its impressive 13 tons of ferrous fibre offered relatively high speeds for a Mech of its class, at 68km/h as well as a set of jump jets that provides the Mad Cat two with an additonal range of 90 meters of airborn travel.

Also, the Mad Cat II was armed with two Omega 12-Coil Gauss Rifles and four TRTTS Mark II extended range Medium Lasers; the Gauss Rifles were located in the Mech's arms, the Medium Lasers in its torso. Additionally, the Mad Cat II sported two sets of Shortbow LRM-10 long range missile launchers in the shoulder pods.
Later updates of the Mad Cat II had it equipped with four Witherer Heavy Large Lasers, again, located in the arms and torso of the Mech, while the missle launchers in the shoulder pads were upgraded to Type X Shortbow LRM-15 long range missle launchers, increasing the overall firepower of the Mad Cat II.

Mosty used by Clan Diamond Shark, Clan Jade Falcon, Clan Ice Hellion and Clan Wolf, the Mad Cat II was used primarily for mid- to long-range combat. It turned out to become an icon on the battlefield, thanks to its high speed for an assault class Battle Mech and its overall durability due to the high amount of armor. Interestingly, it also had a reputation of being a highly destructive Mech that could sustain opressive barrages for relative long periods of time, even though other Mechs were mor capable of dealing a single, powerful strike.

Overall, the Mad Cat Mk. II is considered to be one of the most iconic Battle Mechs ever, as well as one of the most dreadful and effective.

For me the scariest robot is definitely the ABC warrior featured in the Judge Dread movie based on 2000AD. That thing is just plain scary.

Name: A.W.E.S.O.M.-O 4000

Type/Class: Deception robot

Autonomous: Fully

Bio: Cartman becomes a robot to befriend Butters with the aim of discovering his embarrassing secrets so he can blackmail him in school. However, Cartman's prank backfires when Butters reveals that he knows one of Cartman's secrets - he has a videotape of Cartman doing a Britney Spears dance routine to a life-sized cutout of Justin Timberlake while dressed as her. In an attempt to get hold of the video Cartman has to stay as AWESOM-O and ends up in Los Angeles with Butters where he is hired by Hollywood movie producers to come up with movie ideas mostly starring Adam Sandler. Cartman flees the studio after a film producer mistakes him for a "pleasure model" but is then captured by the army who want to turn him into a weapon. Cartman's disguise is eventually foiled when Butters hears him fart so he carries out his promise and shows the video to the whole town, as well as the movie producers and the military.

Name: R. Daneel Olivaw

A.K.A.: Chetter Hummin, Eto Demerzel

Class: Humaniform Positronic Robot

Autonomous? Yes

Bio: Created in the likeness of his Spacer creator (around 4800-5500 AD), R. Daneel Olivaw (or Daneel for short) was the first proper humaniform (human-like) robot. Basically modified the Three Laws of Robotics for use in humans (thanks to R. Giskard), although was successful in assisting humans and Spacers alike in solving crimes, creating psychohistory, assisting in the creation of a learned group of like-minded humans (without robots) before the collapse of the Galactic Empire, passed on some of his telepathic abilities to a secret cabal (of sorts) to help steer the course of the Second Galactic Empire, and helped Foundationers discover the fate and location of the Home Planet (Earth). Literally passed away (?) when his brain became "full". Looks just like a real human, doesn't need to eat, sleep, or kill (voids warranty, although would probably destroy Will Smith under Zero.Fifth Law). All that in 30,000 years or less, or your pizza's free.

Shrike.jpg

Name: Shrike

Autonomous: No

Bio: At 95 tons, the Shrike is classified as another assualt Battle Mech. This particular design was developed by Clan Jade Falcon in the 3110s and exhibits some of the most common traits of Mechs designed by Clan Jade Falcon.

It comes with the signature 'wings' on its back; while aesthetically appealing, especially considering it fits the Clan it hails from very well, they also serve a purpose in increasin the Mech's capabilities of heat dissipation and to stabilize the Mech while airborne. Further design elements common to later designs by Clan Jade Falcon are the bird-like claws on both arms and legs, which can be used as close combat weapons are capable of dealing lethal damage to opposing Battle Mechs during 'death from above' maneuvers; of course, the Mech is also equipped with powerful jump jets to enable these maneuvers. During a 'death from above' maneuver, the pilot will launch his or her Battle Mech in the air, using its jump jets to dive down on an opposing Mech. While higly risky, these maneuvers can inflict severe damage and are popular with Clan Jade Falcon's pilots. The shrike's Grand Thrust Mk. 5 jump jets allow for a maximum range of 120 meters.

Combined with the jump jets, the top speeds of 65km/h makes the Shrike very agile and dangerously fast for an assault Mech, much akin to the aforementioned Mad Cat II (which the Shrike was designed to go toe to toe with).

The aforementioned close combat capabilities, however, are secondary for the Shrike. It is first and foremost designed for long range combat and is equipped with a set of two Type 9 Ultra A/C5 auto cannons, two Series 2b Extended Range Large Lasers and a Type X Longbow LRM-10 long range missile launcher. Thanks to its highly advanced targetting computer systems, those weapons can be used to their fullest potential at maximum range by the Shrike's pilot.

While not as iconic or as popular as the revered Mad Cat II, the Shrike has quickly become well known for its effective long range capabilities and mobility.

Name: XJ-0461 aka 'Clank'

Type/Class: A malfunctioned Sentry-Bot

Autonomous: Very.

Bio: Clank, is a small robot, programmed with AI, is and Ratchet's long-time sidekick in the Ratchet And Clank series. He was born at the Robot Factory on the Planet Quartu but was created in the Great Clock. He got his name "Clank" when Ratchet caused his handmade ship to rock while flying to Planet Novalis, causing the small robot to hit the side of the ship and making a clank sound. Clank has the ability to wear a hologuise suit (appears to shapeshift), using specific technology he can increase his size 20x over to battle enemies on small planets. Clank is also the Zoni's 'Chosen One'. He helps Ratchet Swim, fly, hover and jump higher. He is easily upgradable and very independent. Clank always seems to fit in those small, tight areas that Ratchet can't fit into :sly:

That thing was fierce. I remember it tearing other robots apart so much I actually felt sorry for them. Truly a robot to appreciate.

Calculon-2.JPG

Name: Calculon
Type/Class: Actor
Autonomous: Yes
Bio: Calculon is the melodramatic star of the show-within-a-show, "All My Circuits", playing a character who shares his name. In order to look fresh, he updates his appearance every few decades, and originally worked in a car factory in the early 21st century. He was the first victim of the "Werecar", a murderous AI car which infected other robots, turning them into "Werecars" if it were to run them over. In the made-for-TV movie, "The Beast With A Billion Backs", he is revealed as the leader of a secret robot supremacy society.

astromech-r2-d2.jpg

Name - R2-D2

Type/Class - Astromech Droid - R2 series

Name: Lieutenant Commander Data

Type/Class: Sentient Android

Autonomous: Indeed.

Bio: Designed and built by Doctor Noonien Soong, Data is a sentient android who serves as the second officer and chief operations officer aboard the starships USS Enterprise-D and USS Enterprise-E. His positronic brain allows him impressive computational capabilities.[2] Data experienced ongoing difficulties during the early years of his life with understanding various aspects of human behavior[3] and was unable to feel emotion or understand certain human idiosyncrasies, inspiring him to strive for his own humanity. This goal eventually led to the addition of an "emotion chip", also created by Soong, to Data's positronic net.[4] Though Data's strive for humanity and desire for human emotion is a significant plot point (and source for humor) throughout the series, he continually shows a nuanced sense of wisdom, sensitivity, and curiosity. Is it true though? That it got stuck and that's why they inactivated it?

SpaceCore.jpg

Name: Aperture Science Personality Construct Space Core

Class: Personality Core

Autonomous: Yes...ish

Bio: A yellow-eyed core who lets off sparks as it twitches. It speaks rapidly and endlessly about space and space-related activities. At the end of Portal 2, when it is floating in space with Wheatley, it repeats "I'm in space! So much space! We're in space!" It does not however seem to know much about space, despite being obsessed with it.

That was one annoying robot.

Poor robot

Is it true though? That it got stuck and that's why they inactivated it?

They didn't deactivate it. It simply remained stuck until the batteries or antenna finally gave out. KIA. :(
