The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

I imagine that Fuji will not be about tires, so much as fuel. I said it at Monza, and fuel was too easy to come by. Everyone just added fuel every time they stopped.

I think that the outright pace of the cars is all that will REALLY matter, then, for Fuji. Tires will last a decent number of laps, since they won't be overly stressed. The race pace will be pretty low, too. I imagine most laps will be 1:37s in race trim. 1:34s will be possible for that last minute sprint to catch the guy who's in front, once the fuel load wears down.

I wonder who will strech there fuel to the limit :guilty:

I would recommend, actually, avoiding it. There's a lot of time to be LOST by running out of fuel. However, in saying that, I have a strategy that will help lower my fuel load quickly.

Also, remember that the max. size for a fuel tank is 100 litres. The game automatically gives you 100 litres. *Everyone* gets 100 litres to start with, and fuel strategy only comes in, in a long race.

It is a long race and I think pushing my fuel to the limit might put me near the leader at the end because when I run out is about the time when everyone else is getting fuel

But, on a track that's approx. 3/4 km. long and only features like two spots below 80 km/h, running out of fuel is huge. Have you ever run out of fuel at the Nürburgring? Before Karussell? Running out of fuel is much costlier than stopping. It's about who can find the perfect combination of low fuel load lap times, and grabbing enough fuel. The best racing drivers run out of fuel 5 feet after the finish line.

I'm not gonna completely run out I'm gonna run my fuel until I get red then I'm gonna come in that lap and if I happen to hit red right after the finish line I guess I might be SOL

It'll be the lap after you change tires.

No if I need to pit for tires and I'm almost out of fuel I'm gonna get fuel at the same time
If you want that strategy to work, you're going to have to either simulate a race situation at Fuji and place your fuelage and strategy for this week based on that, or just pay very close attention to how much fuel you're on at all times and be clever about it.

I have an idea for Fuji myself, actually.

Good morning. I do too. This is going to be EPIC.

And for once, it actually is morning in both our countries, so GOOD MORNING!!!

Ayyy, 4:13 A.M., because I'm just finalizing my arrangements for an official ITCC photoshoot, and updating all the things I think I need to. Of course, you know this, 'cuz I showed you.

This is true, this is true. It's looking well-organised thus far.

Thanks. Anyways, back to Rolex. I wish you all good luck, especially James, since his strategy is a win or lose strategy. I have some German homework that I should do, all week, and so, I'll be off and on, less often than normal.

Thanks for the good luck on the strategy I have planed I have tried it multiple times and 9/10 times it works out but there is that 1 time it doesn't work out for me

Congrats to you both. Soo then, has anyone had a test around Fuji yet? I could pull 1:35's in the Viper. I haven't officially posted one yet because the stupid game penalises you for running half-inch past the kerb where the chicane is, but I know it's possible for me.

Nice I think I know who is gonna get pole for the GT class

Well if it's not the Viper then it'll be the Corvette. Seth ran it at 1:36.8 in his Corvette Z06, and I'm sure he could improve on that, so as long as Kevin turns up and has a crack at it too, I reckon either of the two American cars will take pole. Mind you, Audi took pole at Indy, and I thought the Dodge would've been able to compete there, but it didn't, in fact it was a humiliation.

The race is gonna come down to tyres and fuel though, and the Audi's have the advantage there. Even the Ferrari and Corvette is better on its tyres, so it all depends on exactly how fast I can push the Viper without bailing out or overworking the tyres.

Ya thats hard to do with a viper

By the way, I won't be making Fuji. Got my last night out at uni.

First, I added you to the list, flyinhawaiian! Your now officially part of team Bentley!

And no problems damu! Have fun! Now I have to hope that one of the Audi's has a bad race so I can steal a podium!
