:indiff:

In other news, happy birthday.

Internet connection boosting: Step 1: telling StormPacer to move to Tokyo... Step 2: wired connection... Step 3: less distance between router and system if staying wireless. Step 4: Read (Link)

They had a test race tonight, I'm pretty upset i couldn't go... But I'm not sure how it'll work, they were saying the online is mediocre at best sometimes.

I edited this, and I'm bringing it forward now.

Also, I'm 18, but, :yuck: the costs of owning a car in Canada are rather absurd. BTW, I haven't crashed or anything, after a year of driving. Most statistics say "it's people who are beginning to drive, and people who are losing the ability to drive, that are the most dangerous." It's a surprising statistic, whether it's their first year of driving, or their last.

Just remember, don't trust your mirrors. LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDERS. In Canada, the accepted meaning of the "Turn Indicator" is similar to a green flag, with a blue flag to the car with the Turn Indicator on. It's surprising, really, how many people will change lanes, from behind you, and suddenly jump up 30 km/h to pass you, AFTER you put your "I want in that lane" signal on. I guess they don't think, that maybe the person who indicates that they're changing lanes is actually changing lanes, and that passing said person would be dangerous? :grumpy:

*Wishing GT5 had more license tests for online use*

Hey, uhhh, James, for a guy who drives in quite a few circles, you're not really very fast at anything else, apparently, are you? I mean, with respect, I remember what happened at Daytona... Something about you spinning on the oval, despite being in a Toyota GT-ONE, a car which, it must be said, handles pretty well at high-speeds. :ill:

Ya I was on racing softs during the race then I spun out cause my tires were gone

MrMelancholy15
In true NASCAR form, you're supposed to blame it on Kevin Harvick... Somehow. :P :sly:

Oh ok well I came into the turn and Kevin Harvick spun me into the wall

Pit stops help that!

And mrM, thanks for the router stuff, seems like I'm either going to have to change the channel, or frequency at which they transmit data. Also I may be making another trip to the router section of YouTube!

And James, people have leagues for "NTG11" but the majority of them are more "you know someone, your in" type of thing. So if you type it into google you'd be able to find one. But I see your in almost everything, id say limit what you race, and get good with those cars. The gt one seems to be your latest pick up, so you signed up for everything under the sun that had it, before learning the car.

My problem is I need to learn how to tune and set up a car... I'm learning, slowly and not very shirley, but everyonce in a while I'll figure out a new piece. Especially on that mini!

Again, yet another EPIC WIN for the ITCC. It offers experience teaching you to defeat understeer. Then, by doing the exact opposite, you can defeat oversteer and win!

I sooo had FH at cape ring inside yesterday... Then I mucked up the first left handed and went off, then missed turn in in the right left right flowing corners (my favorite like ever!) and the draft wasnt there and he got away just a little too much! ....... Suzuka...... Different story......

Suzuka, the East course? You got hit off by that "unwelcome," a few too many times. I don't blame you. Anyways, yeah, did you watch the replays and see how Seth and I were battling? It was like every corner, we were back and forth.

Also, james, sorry. I can't help you tune. Beyond that, my mom taught me "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it."

I guess I've already been heckling you a bit, which, I think you understand, is all in good fun, but, I won't say what you almost set yourself up for...

Aaaaaannnnnnddddd to protect some feelings....... Yes the little **** caused turn 1 to be more hectic than usual and absolutely punted my in the final corner....iiiiifffff only he could hear me! I wish we could send voice messages....he'd get a nice one! ;)

Yeah. Even Seth and I got together in turn one of Cape Ring Inside, but, I know what happened. He turned to avoid FlyinHawaiian, and bumped me a little.

Regardless, I'm not allowing him in the series, that EpicFire guy...

James, let's let it be.

And mrM, when's the next itcc get together?! I'll probably take some pictures from the replays tomorrow, I may put them on the Facebook (if I can figure it out...) if not, on here for sure!

YES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. The next official get-together is the "Official photoshoot," which will be a normal pre-season round (three races), but, from which I'm going to be taking an extremely large number of photos.

So, in short, Saturday, 5 PM, our time, qualifying starts. Then, 5:10, the first race starts. That's maybe 11 laps at Autumn Ring, then, we switch the grid order to "reverse finishing order," run another 11 lap race, and then a final race of about 5/6 laps, reverse finishing order. I promise, it'll be done WAY before the Rolex series room opens.

Well I had 4 pages of things I subscribed to on my phone so I unsubscribed from them now I have 2 pages I gonna limit my self to 3 series and a few spots races and clubs

Yea, that won't take long! But it'll be fun! I'm bringing my new mini and were gonna go fast! And if I recall Harrison said he has school off Friday too, I do too! If your home we can do some short races and screw around (mostly the second one) either way it'll be some fun this weekend!

It was just a suggestion. But if your not doing things you signed up for, you should let them know first.

Ehh, dont worry about it James. We are all hardly pro's at racing. I do remeber that incident at Daytona though. Def. not a good showing. I would suggest stepping into a car/series that will be better for beginners. LMP was def. not the route for you to jump in to.

MrM's series would be ideal because the cars are under powered. But there are some serious drivers in that series also. So just be careful. But this is IMO a good series to improve your driving on.

Set your bar low first. Have a race where you are not involved in so many incidents. Then try to finish it. After the race save the replays. Focus on the leaders. Pay attention to their driving line and their braking points. Then compare to what you have been doing and adjust. Practice practice practice!!!!

Just try to be consistant. In a good way of course. You can ask some of the guys I race with here. I almost never get the pole position and I always qualify towards the middle. But just driving with good consistancy always has me in contention towards the end of the race. Well, the ones that I can actually start and finish.

Huge fun, promised.

I heard Storm and Harrison making some plans to spend a portion of Friday doing some Rolex (Yes, it's this thread, it's finally relevant again!) testing, but, hmmmm, I think this boils down to a simple equation:

Dodge+Fuji+good preparation=win.

This hurts the two Audi drivers' chances of claiming the Driver's Championship. I'm not going to lie, the Dodge is running two seconds faster than the Audi. The Chevy's running one second faster than the Audi. So, Harrison, Kevin, Anthony (DP in Toyota), Storm and Damu stand a good chance of beating us. I have no info on the Ferrari, for you, Polar, but, I have a bad feeling about this...

Considering this, it's no wonder I'm about to go review the points standings and points calculations... I need to get at least fourth in class, to hold off Storm and Seth, if one of them wins. :nervous:

To be frank, I've done 2 laps at fugi so far... Thursday night and Friday are my days! I honestly want to win a race this season (obviously, all race drivers do) but I feel I'm going to have to see if a single lap is better than having tire wear at this circuit. May have to hang back and see if I can just have godly tire wear and wait it out... And hope I finish!

Mmmmmmhhhhmmm, you and Damu are drawing short sticks, though. You're both getting into a very tight points battle, so every second in GT is huge now. So, the competition's really stiffening up as every race goes past. A race win now, would mean a lot more than my race win at Indy, or Storm's win at Daytona... :grumpy:

Yea, it is "crunch time"!!!!! I'm honoring to have decent times, and pray that tire wear will follow. But it'll all be for nothing if I don't finish....

Well, Fuji and Le Mans are just a bunch of straightaways... not exactly the Ferrari's strength, nor the strength of the Audi.

I think your best bet to win a race would actually be Laguna Seca. Put that MR layout to use, there, and you'll gain a lot of time.
