The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

Well, Fuji and Le Mans are just a bunch of straightaways... not exactly the Ferrari's strength, nor the strength of the Audi.

I think your best bet to win a race would actually be Laguna Seca. Put that MR layout to use, there, and you'll gain a lot of time.

It's possible! Nitro won the pre seasoner there in the ferrari!

So I've heard. I've heard that he's REALLY trying to figure his i-net out. Yeah... If he comes back, Ferrari will be in contention to beat Chevy and (depending on finishing orders) Dodge.

Not to get people TOO overworked, but, let's discuss who's going where for next season. Rumour has it that Seth's switching to DP, as I touched upon in my ITCC pre-season race recap. I don't know where I'm going. Like, at all.

Yeah, it was good consistent racing from him, and when I did get the jump on him near latter half of the race, I only realised that my tyres weren't going to last another lap until after I passed the pit lane into Turn 11. Needless to say, he was way out in front, even my last minute surge wasn't enough. I had to fight Polar shed loads of times too in that race, so watch yourselves everyone.

I'm stayin in GT next season with the Viper, and I remember Nirvana telling me he would've wanted to try out the Bentley, if not for me being in GT and wanting to race me, so he'll probably make the jump to DP.

I doubt the Audi will be that off-pace here at Fuji. Audi was in the mix at Monza, nothing but straights. Audi won at Indy, the longest or 2nd longest straight with Fuji. And I'm feeling on a roll winning the past two races, so I think I feel like winning another! :sly:

Do some more testing, first, before claiming that. :nervous::indiff:

I'm in 6 series but 4 I'm serious about and 2 are something to do when the races get rained out and I'm signed up for 4 spot races

Quite possibly, a few tweaks and I'll be all set. I'm seeing the tyre life is a bit lacking at the front, so I might soften the front brake balance. I like my braking point as it is at the first corner; its early so it sets people up for the overtake, but there's a sweet turn in spot that means I'll more than likely take the place back. Softening the front will mean I don't have to pump the brake either.

Edit: Well, how does 1:36.665 sound?

I used to overshoot that corner all the time. Especially if I was fighting someone for position. I would always play chicken with the guy next to me and miss my braking point.

Yeah, I've overshot it my fair share of times already. It reminds me of La Source at Spa, somewhat; that charge down to turn 1 and seeing numerous people get the braking point sorely wrong at the hairpin or piling up. Definitely going to take a safe line through there on Saturday at the start.

Um, I already did? I don't go around here and boast my times, I don't wanna give away what I can or can't do. You'll just have to get online and practice with me or wait till race day to see what times I'm able to run.

I'm b-specing a car for my other series, but I'll be online in about 5 minutes to practice, if anyone else is online, come find me.

Unlike a certain black Corvette who got the lead from the second row at Suzuka.

Pull over rule:

When one is going to pull over for any reason, they must adhere to these rules.

1. Less than 5 laps- pull over into pits and pause (so you stay there)

2. More than 5 laps- LEAVE! We won't hate you for "raging" well be glad you didn't ruin anymore racing!

I made it two things so its not too hard.

If you pull over on the road or right by it, depending on how long you're there and how many people complain...you could be removed from the series! So don't do it!

This is a really good rule but what about with me what do I do cause I try and race but I spin out and stuff

This is the "Don't obstruct fellow racers while returning to track" rule. In my series, I've also implemented a "don't pass until the next corner because your tires will be covered in grass" rule.

Practice with the car a little more, but also take Seth's advice aswell. Don't put too much traction control on though, otherwise you'll understeer too heavily.

And THAT will slow you down. Pit early, be careful returning to track, and brake early.
