What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

I think this should be a half-points race. The two best cars won, leaving the recently nerfed Camaro out of the running.

Firstly: Camaro specs okay enough for Paul, IMO, because I was worried about him the entire time.

Secondly: I'll be uploading a replay of numerous times when Storm hit me instead of braking in Turn 1, throughout the race, including once, into the wall, on the last lap, last corner before time ran out. I admit, I retaliated, and got my rightful spot back.

Thirdly: Camaro specs horribly wrong for Cows; Cows had no chance. Paul was close, but, maybe +5 ish hp?

No.... You on drugs or something? I didn't intentionally do anything but race against you.

You hit me like 10x. I don't understand why you were so mad that you were honking. I hit you once! With 5 seconds to go, when you pulled the gloves off and said "Let's fight! I'm going to put you in the wall!" and I did the same.

I'll upload a replay of every lap you punted me. Don't worry, I'll include the last lap, too.

In the mean time, Storm, wait 'til we have replays.

Wha..?

So you're saying that... The Camaro's specs are good, because they can't beat you. That's fair. :odd:

Camaro should get its old specs.

Mel was 10MPH faster than the Camaro, not even fair.

I had to basicaly do Q laps to try keep up so I had useless tyre wear, which meant I could never get close. Then when I did get close to Mel and was in his draft he still managed to pull away around .5 then when I was out of his draft he'd just leave me for dead on the main straight :indiff:. (I estimated speed diff to be around 8-10mph,.Then when I tested and Rx8 for straight-line speed I found it was 9-10mph faster than my Camaro)

I gotta say that race was quite frustruating knowing I never really stood a chance..

The Viper though was only a little faster on straight, around 4 mph, I did test it afterwards and nearly got a 20 but got a 21.2, on a relitively base setup though. So yes it was a little faster and seemly better on tyres too. I still thought that it was a well deserved win for Storm. Until 5 secs to go suddenly they switch, thinking hmm Mazda very fast on straight maybe he got him there.. But nope turns out there was foul play involved. :banghead:

I hope Camaro gets some bhp back just 5 for now will do, keep the extra 10 kgs on.

And I'm watching replay now to give my PURE stewarding verdict on this last lap business.

Great race guys. I couldn't touch Seth on the first run. After that, my car loosened up because of fuel depletion and got faster. I ran a 1.13.949 on my last stint. I learned that patience was key in working through GT traffic. I would slow down a little the turn before, so I could get a good launch out and pass them heading towards the next corner.

I said at the end of my quote "Maybe +5 hp?" I'm saying, though, that Paul no longer has some huge advantage.

About the last lap business, I'm uploading videos. The power went out, so I lost a lot of time, on the progress, but, I'll show you how Storm divebombed me almost every lap, in turn 1.

I honk because I'm pushing too hard onto the analogue stick you divvy b*stard. We've had this discussion before....

You hit me more than once after I was getting past you on the last stint, but whatever, those are just love taps from racing, don't give a monkey's about those. If you wanna try to strike points off like that then go ahead. It won't work.

Your ram was deliberate. How can I possibly tap you into a wall with the rear end of the car ON PURPOSE? Explain, coz I can't, because unless I E-brake, that's pretty impossible. If it were my front end, debateable, but I had passed you. Where was the undercut? I was undercutting to pass you all race, pretty much? Don't you have the brains to do the same? No, coz your an idiot.

As it was, you hit the wall, lost speed and also ran wide. I took advantage and used the inside line. Sure, there was hella room, and if I KNEW I was going to hit you, I'd have gone further in, but I didn't. I switched positions twice on the way into that tunnel, the first was the outside of the entry to the tunnel, then second (**** knows how I did it) was avoiding you and cutting back into to take advantage of your mistake.

I am watching so far and gotta say smart move using the AI controled Seth DP car to pass Mel...

Into T1 on lap 40 Mel brakes too late hits inside wall and slows dramaticly due to it Storm runs into him slightly because he was so close.

Into T2 Mel puts Storm in the wall going 120 mph for a 100mph right hander and has full throttle, no chance he was getting past or even making the corner. Imo sorry Mel but you couldn't be anymore blatent than that....

Yeah I just thought it was quite good reactive driving..

I'm sorry but Mel I watched lap 38-40 seen not much to moan about until you drive him off at T2... :indiff:

In PURE you'd be lucky to race again pulling a stunt like that.. :ill:

And yes maybe if you didn't hit the wall after he ran into Seths car you may have been clear of him .

Edit: Tbh I hoped Mel was past this in Daxes WTCC he rammed nearly everyone off..... Seems not :nervous:.. (Luckily I was out front ;))

Well I haven't gotten a full chance to digest the replay yet. I will remain unbiased for the time being.

Yeah, I was laughing at Mel's misfortune being held up behind Seth's car, so karma bit me in the backside with that fail at the next corners.

Biased post... Really :odd:?

And cause I'm not a steward in this series I can't voice my opinion? I have seen and helped in WSGTC/Pure incidents and quite frankly we have banned people for less than what you did at T2..

Simple matter of fact is Storm raced a little rough as did you but he never intensionaly hit you off or wide.. Where as you decided to hit him off at T2, a 95-100mph bend going 120mph on full throttle while he braked and took it at normal speed.

Hey man, I am just trying to keep the forum from exploding. I fully respect your opinion. You have every right to voice it. I am sorry if it came off wrong. 👍

I've never wanted to let you into this series, but it wasn't my decision. But, now, you're giving your opinion, when it wasn't asked for, by anyone here. I don't care about PURE or GATE or anyone else. I care about this series.

If nothing else, you're human, and humans can be biased, even while saying that they're not. I'm just asking you not to make enemies, so soon in your stay in this series.

We don't have a team of stewards... So you can say what you think. Whoever said you aren't a steward.... Isn't a steward either... If anything since you're a PURE steward I value you're opinion more.

And if I recall you said in PURE Mel would be gone... That may be the case here too.

Look at edit 👍. Cnd I wasn't talking about you he quoted my post as *potensionaly biased post*.

It only takes a flick to lap 40 to see how blatent it was 👍.

You could say the same thing about my "move" on Seth at Daytona. I am coming from experience on this one. I appreciate your opinion.

I ran into that battle 3 times during the race. I guess the last time was when I split the two with Storm in front slightly. I rear ended him a lil bit, but if anything it gave him a speed boost, haha! I don't concern myself with the happenings in GT. I just know that when you're behind someone, the car washes away and it's just stupid hard to take turns. My front end washed away so many times when I was behind shinshiki. I was trying to get past but the track was so tight. I tried the hairpin and touched him so I gave his spot back. I made it stick the next time. It didn't matter though, thanks to being behind Shin I lost too much time and tire life racing with him. Oh well, I still came 2nd.

Yea man you had a great setup. I couldn't catch you until I short pitted you. After that, I just tried to drive as smooth as possible.

I think Shin was trying to go on a strategy with less laps per stint, and doing so he came out in front of me after my first stop. I shouldn't have typed anything to you, I wouldn't have been in the pits that long if I didn't.

Gotcha. It seemed like every time I had an outlap, there was like the whole GT field in the way. I had to really be patient. I used the golden rule when negotiating GT traffic. I think I was a little to careful to be honest.

I didn't get involved with any DP incidents. That's why I was doing so well, before... what happened.

So, thanks DP, for letting us run our races, and not ruining them.

As for the incident... I think the discussion will calm down soon. We're discussing it on Skype. As for anyone who wants to see my side of this, in video form, PM me.

Yea I was so worried that I would ruin someone's GT race because every time I caught up to you guys, at least 2 of you would be in a position battle of your own.
