What was the finishing order?

And what was the order at the line before the end of the timer?

And Storm, Mel doesn't want you to see the video... which in my opinion is crazy..

I was ahead, last time across, before Storm braked late.

Order:

cnd (good win, btw, and thanks for passing clean)
seth
shin
Anthony (buena suerte-good luck with the steering wheel bud)

MrM
Storm
Paul
damu
tbw
Cows (quit, complained about specs)

You made a little tiny clap on the brakes before entering the tunnel, then as you was about to hit the wall in the tunnel, you then decide to brake again, by then its too late and you've smacked the wall and skidded to the outside. I was braking in my normal place and had to avoid you twice.

When following someone, you have to brake earlier...

Mel, don't go into it about this...we've got this ramble a time or two already

We came up with the idea of basing it off of who was leading, at the finish line, on the last lap. It's what we did at Fuji, last season, too, when Seth and I started cutting the tracks and stuff.

+1 mistakes were made. By both parties. Let's move on guys. Indy road next right? Next round of the NAEC.

So he started on the front row?

Yes.

And, please, everyone leave me some room, too. I'm not superhuman either. In fact, with my temper, sometimes I wonder if I'm human at all. Regardless, I need space to keep my cool.

I just feel really bad that Ant had wheel issues. I would have loved to see how fast he could have been.:yuck:

If he was on the brakes for more than a split second the first time, I would've braked earlier, because I would've needed to. I had braked earlier than his second attempt at braking, but by then he'd already clattered the wall on the inside line, at 122 mph.

I saw that you didn't brake, and let off. That's why I missed my braking point in the first place. You always brake too late and hit me, and I don't like it, and I'd ask you to brake before me, unless we're side-by-side. The reason this doesn't happen in ITCC, is because I allow NO divebombing/late braking.

I'm sorry. Perhaps, considering my temper, I acted "in character" and it was stupid, but, after stressing about you hitting me... It's not something that I should have to do (stress about being rear-ended, and then get rear-ended.)

Any time someone follows behind me, I know that I just have to brake at my normal points. Every time you went into T1, you were skidding like mad. I can't afford to skid my tires at all, because you get better tire life. I can't help that. I plan to avoid skidding, to save tires. So, yes, I brake "early" to save tires, and maintain control. Then, at the end of the race, the stress/nerves/temper is too much. You've got to respect me. I didn't intentionally bump you once.

Anyways, I'd just like to give credit to everyone whom I lapped/who lapped me, as I didn't have troubles with traffic, except when shin tapped the wall, but, that wasn't just my problem. So, thanks to everyone ELSE for giving me room, and allowing me space to cool down.

Can't quite move on yet, I've got some things to say.

If you haven't learned already, Mel doesn't let things go. After watching most of the video, things seemed pretty clean to be honest, nothing that would put me off.. But it gets Mel off. We have to give Mel enough room x2. He seemed to miss one of my Skype messages... So well cross that bridge in a bit. But point being, if you do so much as touch him, he's going to take you out. As sad as it is, that's the truth. I've got some ideas on how to fix the problem.

Camaro spec- you guys think 5 HP will do the trick?

As for the finishing order, I'm thinking Mel should get last place points? You simply can't take someone out with 5 seconds left... It's that, or going by the order at the line...

I say the order the lap after I finished. I know the race lasted a few extra laps in GT after I finished.

I would say just reverse the positions but as we covered in PURE this simply doesn't work (In WSGTC it didn't work so we fixed it) As we are effectively saying sure you can dive bomb etc the worst that will happen is you get put back where you were.

This would be the penalty that would follow.

PURE Incident Penalty Outline (PURE IPO)

Note: this penalty set is geared toward serious championship series that contend with heavy damage and have race distances of around one hour. They may be modified to suit light-damage series or various race distances to scale time penalties accordingly.

Objective:
The focus of this penalty set is to encourage good sportsmanship behavior on track. It gives the opportunity to the drivers that commit the offences to "right their wrongs" during a race in order to reach compromise instantly and avoid the necessity of review and deliberation. Simply waiting for the driver you faulted to reclaim their position relative to you before an incident shall suffice in correcting the mistake, most of the time.

/Incident Penalty Outline /
Time penalties

5 - Avoidable contact resulting in lost time and not yielding position back to victim * - 50 seconds

How to self-serve or otherwise resolve the incidents during the race, effectively ridding or severely reducing penalties, classifying the accident a racing incident

5 - Wait for the victim to re-gain control and start again behind them. You are not to attempt a re-pass until going past two major (numbered) corners.

*The rule for yielding positions is that you must wait for the car you affected to rejoin or otherwise reorient themselves into the race on track no matter how long it takes for them to do so. Once they are on an effective course either to continue the race or make their way to pit lane for repairs you are allowed to overtake normally as per OLR rules.

You don't need to use it but it's just an example, the time depends on how bad it is but the minimum is that of a drive through. (20-50 sec) Wardez I think put the max values for each penalty.

You're publicly mentioning this? Is it because you were less than 25-50 seconds behind me? 💡 You're looking for free positions?!

I was actually on 7 lap stints. I should have been on 8, but I didn't think to adjust to the extra 10 laps. I was also assuming there would be cautions, being on how this track was so tight.

Seth, if anything, I turned in on you both times at the hairpin. Didn't mean to. Sorry!

Qualifying was tough. I couldn't find room to get a good lap in. I either messed up on my own, or I got stuck behind a GT car. Doesn't matter because I probably didn't have the pace to get pole anyways. My car felt like it was under steering more in the lobby than in my lounge.

I had forgot about cautions until after I pitted for the last time. I was like please don't wreck please don't wreck the whole time. :nervous: :sly:

Here's what's going to happen:

Mel will take Indy off. If storm has issues, he will take the next race off, and Mel will come back. If Mel has a bad race, he's done for the season. If storm has issues in his race after his break, he's done for the season too.

Doing this to see who is the problem.

One single question: if Storm and I have a problem a few races from now, together, will both of us be out?

I couldn't agree more with this. After Daytona, Monza fell on a convenient weekend for me. Polar was going to suspend me, but I had work that kept me away. That served as my suspension.

I lost a lot of tire life racing you, Shin. I could go an easy 9 laps if I'm just running my pace. But when you're with someone and they're racing you the front end gets loose from the wake of a car (surprised GT replicated this in the game). You have to steer more, and that definitely takes more from your front tires. I would have gone for mediums, but they're slower and the consistency of them wears off only a lap further than the softs. Plus at best you'd be doing laps about 1.5 seconds slower than softs. Not really worth the trade off.
