We have more drivers than cars in DP. You certainly can't skip races without warning/stating it on the forums.
In my ITCC, I've had to remove 5 drivers (at least, as there are still some drivers who haven't showed up at all) due to attendance. We have 20+ drivers with good standing in that series. But, we have a few with poor standing.
In the Rolex, where we're, as yet, running only one division, attendance is even more important.
It's not fair to the drivers who do show up, or to the drivers who don't think that they have a seat.
You don't see Formula 1 drivers missing races.
Certainly, we ARE human, and we will accept the "I was sick." or "My dog ate my homework" or the "A spider got stuck in the water spout" reasons. But, you have to tell us. It could give us the chance to contact a reserve driver, and fill out the field.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone finds someone to compete against. Therefore, we ask that you simply tell us, "I can't make this race."
This week:
StormPacer17: medal ceremony/football presentation
polarbear345: cottage trip
myself: parents
not letting me on.
ft...: sick, (possibly vomiting etc. and even I'd rather be near a toilet than playing a game.)
Certainly, none of these drivers should be punished. They gave us a valid reason. That's all we ask. Preseason hasn't even begun yet, so it's OKAY, too, if you missed today. We only ask that you come to races, or let us know.
