In our tests for a new series we found the 787B was just plain fast on straights compaired to the others we tested. Sad it got canned for Wardezes CALM though.

Yea the 787 has the best power band for high speeds. The rotary power plant. We saw that at the preseason race at Daytona.

Don't worry guys, was my foul. I only wanted to know if I was running with the right power. Next race I will set the power to the limit, I never did it, I always set 500cv

Sounds like a plan!

You did nothing wrong buddy 👍 No big deal.

I wasn't that fast on the straights, my car wasn't broken in all the way, so I was able to use a turbo and still make 490hp. With the other Group C cars their power is so much stock that you can't install a turbo and still meet 500hp (I think). I think the R92 and Sauber get over 1000hp with a turbo, so even at 50% you're over the power limit.

Yessssssss!!, I was running with 493hp, 7hp less, I am impatient waiting the next race...!!!

You can see it to getting in Settings, System Settings and change language, if you have set English your unit is HP, so change to spanish, play the GT5 and the unit will be CV. I did this and I was playing with 493hp = 500cv.

Now I could fight with you guys, I hope so!!

The way I read this:

Anthony is going to sweep the rest of the season! :D

It was faster though. Not to mention the 787 is too light at the current spec. Plus you said you used 495 rather than 490. Not trying to argue every little point here, but it was slightly faster. I can't use a turbo on the Sauber and get 500 horsepower. Mine was broken in from the UCD.

@Ant Looks like you get a boost :) I did notice the Sauber was a little better on the oval part of Indy. Hopefully that will even out the playing field.

It's a pity it took 5 races to notice this ;). (I dunno how we even got on to this subject :dopey:)

I think Ant was wondering if CV was the same as horsepower. He raised the question. Good thing we got that figured out 👍

It was 30kg lighter than the Nissan, and only 20kg lighter than the Toyota. :ouch: wow, so much lighter! This is the petty crap that makes me not wanna race here. People complain about the stupidest things. This was preseason on top of it, worth no points. I ran at 490hp and it raised to 495hp after the race because it was a new car. The reason it was 'faster' was because of the turbo power. Funny you should say it was faster than your car though as you hit a higher top speed than me. lol, whatever. I'm done here.

I thought it was a 500bhp limit for DP? Was it 490 to start with? Just curious is all ;).

Also weight shouldn't matter if it can be/is ballasted to 1000kgs?

The 787B is 830kg stock, so plus 200kg made it 1030kg, and people whinged it was too light, even though the other cars had more power and were faster. I just got better tire life.

Now it's 502.

Seth decided he wanted to run the 787b... So he spec'd it himself with 490Hp.

Let's move on! It was the first pre season race for crying out loud!

Oh I see the DPs are 1050/60kgs :dopey:.

Edit: Btw I remember someone talking about weight being based on engine size in real life so re checked the Wiki on DPs.

Weight: 4.0 L (244 in³) displacement and above-2,275 lb (1,032 kg)
Below 4.0 L (244 in³)-2,225 lb (1,010 kg)

You forget to mention that you were signed up for the R92, and switched to the 787B five minutes before the race started. That was what I wasn't pleased with. Your only reason for the switch was that you couldn't control the R92 that you were signed up with even with TC on. Plus you begged to use it the next preseason race and would have won that had Daiba not bumped you. Just because you give your side of the story doesn't automatically make it true. The same applies to me. My opinion was that the DP specs were 500 bhp for the Sauber, Toyota, and R92, and the weight was 1050 for the Sauber and Toyota. The R92 is 1060. You ran the 787B at 1030 and 490 horsepower. The rotary engine is geared for top end speed. The power band is higher. That makes it faster at the top end. I would rather run that spec any day with my Sauber. I would love the better tire wear. I thought that was a too favorable spec. You can disagree if you like. This is solely my opinion. I am not insulting your intelligence.

Now that issue was solved before the season started. I am presenting my opinion in a non-belligerent way. I am not going to speak further on this because this is stupid to bring this up after it has been settled.

Good luck on your endeavors Seth. I will miss competing with you in the Rolex series. Are you coming back for Season 3?

Back to the task at hand:

Street circuit this weekend! It had some good racing in the pre season, the same should be true this weekend!

Race will be about 35 laps? Or 45 laps?

My side of the story is true. I said it's specs, it was slower on the straights. It was 1030kg. I could control the R92, I had trouble with it when people switched to a new room setting. It was fine before. All of a sudden the next time we raced the car drove like crap and would spin out at the touch of the throttle. I don't care what you want to say about it, I was the one clamoring for different cars to be used before my idea was shot down. I only used the Mazda because I didn't have the Toyota and the Sauber was taken. On top of it I didn't want to be Anthony's teammate. In fact, I don't even wanna race with the guy tbh. That's why I'm done here. If he or Mel stays here in season 3 I'm not going to participate in that either. Simple as that.

Hi, no problem, i can change team ;)

Thanks Filipe. I dont want it to seem like I am taking the car away from you or anything. So if you want it its yours. James said you were racing for him in the Camaro next season anyway right?

Speaking of, why is there another slot open for Chevy? Did Cow withdraw too?

He said so, but, you're both still welcome.

FH isn't competing full-time with us, anymore, I think. I haven't heard from him in a while. The Viper slot might still be open.

But still if he wants the viper slot i can give it to him, if there's no problem with it.

No problem mate, Viper is yours, we can resolve this in a good way ;)

Mr. Polarbear can i move to Chevy Camaro? :D

Filipe I'll try make a tune mid week and give it to you to test and tweak to your liking 👍.
