I don't think photoshoots are really necessary... I mean, the team banners/team photos aren't even fully fixed so why would people care about some photoshoot? It's a nice idea but for points? No. I think only the photographers have something to gain from this, and why settle for a staged shot when you can get dynamic shots in real season races?

Morale.

Is lacking as of late.

And a little picture taking isn't going to bring it. We came to race cleanly and competitively. I'm sure people would rather do a race knowing points/championships/risk is on the line, than cruising around at 30mph and posing so we could have photo-ops. Save it for the Photomode forums, or when people start wanting it.

Look at my photo-shopping of APR Motorsport and such in the OP. I have full confidence in my team, tbw is a great racer and we can bring good points to the team if we both show up. What we need is confidence in other drivers, because purposely hitting someone off track/arguing about it isn't going to help morale.

James, you haven't won a race; your team won a race. I see no mention of "Team Owner" and your sig makes it look like you won a race. That's a funny idea. Will never happen.

Lol, I just noticed that.... Yea, that's pretty misleading...

And I've gotten a few requests for heavy damage, I think it will clean racing up, any thoughts?

Sure. It'll remind me to keep my temper more in-check. And, THAT is a big deal.

What about the "innocent victims" of other peoples mistakes? I also remember having a damaged suspension on the formation lap this weekend in Rolex. Though with that being in the d/c race, I have no idea how

Someone kept bumping me on formation lap. Eventually, it got to the point that I brake-checked that person, to tell them to back off.

I didn't bump anyone from what I could remember, mind you I was second place and the polesitter D/C'd. I'm pretty sure I got a bump or two during the formation lap; I've come to expect to be bumped like a mother****er anyway so I just block it out.

Mel ran me off on a formation lap actually, but I managed to get revenge on the formation restart, so balance was restored. :D

I like the idea of heavy damage because of the realism, but it could be bad if we have more incidents like last weekend or if trolls come into the room.

Heavy damage would hurt us. It would make people more pissed at each other when we damage each other.

What? The trolls that join the race once the timer starts? Host could just back out, kicking people who aren't members of the series until the last knockings and then rejoin the track.

Heavy damage would resolve the recklessness, and if people suffer pretty heavy damage in multiple areas in an incidient they can't just breeze off and wait for damage to mend.

The trolls I mean are new people. I have a hard time trusting people I haven't raced with before.

People that know heavy damage is on might take a more cautious approach when it comes to pace laps or passing. If they have an incident on there own, it's there own fault and they have no one to blame but themselves. They can always catch up when there is a caution.

Meh. I feel indifferent, I mean, heavy damage has:

-Realism
-Most clean racers will now try even harder not to hit
-A real reason for the "caution"

But it also has some disadvantages:

-You make a mistake, count your race done
-If we face some "intentional" hits like on Monza, and no one calls "caution" consider your race done
-Trolls who sign up but hit and leave the series

I'm for neither, just going by what you guys want.

Heavy damage allways brings it's downsides in PURE for the most part though we run heavy damage but the worst is lag damage can screw a race very easily on heavy damage. (I know as I have been a victim of it quite a few times)

Before you lagged out you hit my front hard. :scared:

Mistakes happen, lag happens. If we run heavy damage, it would make people more angry at each other. Someone would make a mistake and it would just make the victim that much more mad because now he has to pit to fix his damage. I don't want my races ruined, and I don't want to ruin another person's race.

^ That is the strongest argument I heard about heavy damage. If we got into a sh:censored:storm without heavy damage, imagine the crap that will occur if we do use heavy damage!

I don't see the problem as the caution lap will give the damaged drivers the opportunity to be with the other drivers in the class once more regardless.
