The Rolex Sports Car Series- Season 2! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

Just because you get mechanical damage doesn't automatically denote a full course caution. Say you get tapped out and hit a tire wall and damage your car, but the other person is scat free. I know that I would be madder than a one legged waitress at the IHOP  You couldn't call a caution. If we said that you could call a caution if you get mechanical damage then it would be a yellow flag race with no green flags.

That is the downside. In case of an incident like that, I would suggest we designate three drivers as stewards so that way they can go back after the race to look at the replay and determine if there should be a penalty or not.

I just want to limit the amount of arguing and complaining that polarbear has to sort through. This week must have been a nightmare for him.

More than one steward should fix such problems. 1 for DP and 1 for GT maybe?

Still there is bias among stewards. The steward would penalize the drivers whom have affected their races more than other people. It gets more complicated than you think :banghead:

Trust is key.

That's what I race on. I trust the people around me then I have no problems running as hard as I want to. I have to be careful around Seth after Daytona. Although I didn't lose any trust. I just want to keep a good driving record between the two of us to make up for the debacle at Daytona. I have moved on and I am really looking forward to this weekend. I trust Shin, PB, Ant, Seth, and now from what I have heard, Tissimo is already in my trust book. :)

I think that was lag making it seem like I was pushing up into you. I had some troubles with rear ending Anthony in that race as well, even though I broke WAY early for turn 1.

Regardless of what happened I have long since moved on. I just want the basis of the series to stay the same. Points races and light mechanical damage.

Maybe we should put heavy damage in the "To consider for next season" category? ITCC lost people when rules were hastily changed mid-season.

That's where it is in my eyes.

And since we're going into that area.... How about the GX class? I'll see if I can't find some info on it at the track tomorrow (leaving today, but dad has to meet customers today and stuff ;( so I won't be at the track until tomorrow)

Dibs on lotus! Actually, I think a fairer system is to implement a draft system. Winners pick first. However, registration for next season has to be done by a certain date to claim the dibs. Well, that's my idea.

Season 3 thread goes up with 2 races left in season 2. Registration starts then, and draft order will go by points. People can get together with others and make a team if they'd like.

it's ok, neither do i... :dopey:

Back onto related business, I noticed a LOT of corner cutting in ITCC for Nurburgring. This was especially true at the chicane. What should we do to avoid people doing the same here?

I agree. The barrier should go untouched. If it does get hit and removed because of an incident, people should still respect the chicane and not cut it.
