The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

Good race tonight. Quite jumpy with some cars. Two stop strategy worked out.

It was pretty close. I had a 20 second lead, then spun, lead went down to 10, then it was just a matter of me being able to hold you off.

Definitely a close race! I think you passed me with 3 laps left?

ok cool, now I know its roughly 9AM for race starts, according to your room number post, I shall sleep the night away,

usually yes, it depends on the WRC, DTM and ITCC, if the first two fold like I think they're going to then it makes the race more possible for me, as its at a normal time, but if the first two start gathering numbers and are run properly then I dare say that I will stick with them, as those races happen around 2AM-3AM for me, it wouldn't be so bad if I was american

ITCC will be over by 4 p.m. Eastern. That gives a 3 hour window between ITCC and Rolex. That should be enough for a cat-nap

Did you go to sleep? LOL,

I believe those will all be done in time for this. ITCC for sure will be done, WRC and DTM start before ITCC I believe, so on WRC and DTM days ITCC will be even more empty than today...

I believe... It's hard to keep track of all of this!

yeah they're all easily finished in time, its the sleep I require  yes I got 3 hours down

2 laps left. It took me a little while to get the car in a groove where I was comfortable with the track. The thing was twitchy in turn 2 before you cut back to the left for the kink of turn 3. Took me a few laps to find a good speed to take that turn. I was closing in when your tires went down. I gave it up when I spun in T1, then caught you again when the race was winding down. Fresher tires was definitely the reason.

GT results?

Time expired before all laps were finished:
1.) Long
2.) Me
3.) Tbwhhs
4.) FH was in the rx8 and disconnected from the race. He was in third when he disconnected I think

I don't think we would have competed all the laps even if the time was set to its longest. It's a shame it can't be extended even more really.

Well, in reality. When the DP leader crosses the finish line at the end of the race, the next time the GT leaders cross the finish line, the race is over. I would prefer it this way if it was possible, so that incidents like what happened at SSR5 last season aren't possible.

Oh yeah! Kinda forgot about that haha and what happened last season? I'm guessing slow moving DP's messing the race up for GT?

Incident in GT with about 5 seconds left in the race. I won't name names or specify any further.

Yeah I guess if when theres a time limit it might make people want to make a dive up the inside of someone hoping the time would count down just as they pass...

I dont know about that Mazda. I didnt DC last night, I rage quit. It's just too hard for me to get anything planted through the ground coming out of a corner. 👍 to all the guys that can. I also had issues with massive understeer. I only played with the car for about 15 min to try and slap a tune on there. My basic tune did absolutely nothing for it. :(

:( Not good.

Shall we go after the corvette?

That maybe the best option now. My Lotus had a lot of understeer too, but I have no idea how to tune a car, and since the last update everything that worked in the past just makes the car handle worse now.

I'm all for the season starting next weekend. As for switching to the Corvette. I'd rather stay with the Mazda. I like it where it's at with the specs and I don't want to have to start getting use to another car a week before the season starts.

I'm in the same boat as Shin, here. Though I literally am adapting to the cars pretty much after the first 10-15 mins, and looking at the times I was seeing in my brief glimpse of the lobby.... I'm pretty much at everyone else's pace in the Mazda, it seems.

I'm surprised the Lotus had understeer. What's the suspension like? I could throw you my tune from ALMS if you want it.
