Youre suggesting using the project by camera option and while that is easy it creates a stretched out image when viewed from any other angle. It's been posted in here how to properly do it and its not that difficult.

Just woke up and on phone so won't type it all out right now

Goes to show I really was just waking up and didn't know what I was talking about. There's nothing in this topic on how to do it. It's in another topic. Sorry guys.

You put your decal of choice on top like normal. Move the camera around to see the underside. Adjust angle depth to +10. If I'm remembering that wrong, it's -10 sorry. The decal will appear on the bottom but reversed. Flip horizontally. Tada! Now all you have to do is size it how you want. Then place a blank decal on top to cover the now reversed-on-top decal of choice. Color that as you see fit and proceed from there.

That is what I tried.. did not work on the VW.

That plain blank decal on top simply ruins the beauty of the wing. I'll stick with the Align Camera method.

The point of that decal is to fill the space of the top wing and then you have a blank slate to work with just like before. Color it anything you want and go from there.

@nmcp1 Wacha'think?

@DesertPenguin Not any more topaz, sapphire or other stones?
The cammo Zoom Zoom is outside of your classic element. Not Penguinish enough.
I finally got Premium so I could change the name back and be what I've always been known as. It's just easier.

For road cars I don't like to go too heavy on the decals. Imagine being at a track day or an autocross. The blue pattern is a square abstract design someone made (in all different colors to choose from) and I like the way it looks when enlarged. It's all light blues so it fits my theme, but it's a bit more exciting than a solid color. Think of it like a vinyl wrap.

I finally got the hand of writing and making the underside look good. Wings like the VW which is angled, makes it optimal to put something on the underside. Using the Aligh camera method and -7 or -8 for the projection so that it does not bleed to the top.

Thanks for this. @Die_Birdy_Die did you ever uploaded this?
I noticed you uploaded it, but I also noticed that it's really not very good. Black bones? If you recolour it you lose the eyes, nose and mouth from the skull?

I've learned a bit more about SVGs since then so I've redone it.

It can now be recoloured and the eyes, nose & mouth of the skull will remain as the background colour. If you want the eyes etc a differnt colour, just stick a coloured shape underneath the skull.

That's cool. I will be putting that on my RX7 for tonight's festivities

I I've only uploaded it since Birdy didn't.

Thanks for update for it. I was planning to use it... It got a lot of likes right away.

I love all of the replica liveries being made. This one just happens to use my colors so I'm using it. In my head canon if I actually owned the car I would add the stripes to look like the livery but still keep it my own, like a special edition version. Obligatory Mazdaspeed and FIA decals of course and we're done.

By the way, the stripes only took 10 minutes to make tops, so you can easily and quickly make up the same thing in your personal colors.
