And you use the same tune on both cars?
Is the minimum weight (weight reduction 3, windows and hood) the same?

Yeah I even put the same tune on the suspension. Except on the BRZ I altered the LSD a little. But basically all the same. I agree with the post above, except for the BRZ and the 86 in my experience the BRZ is a little more responsive and a bit faster, but I do agree you can just push an push it.

So after reading your opinion and that of the post above you, the BRZ is better/easier to drive hard by a small margine.
But what is the reason of the 86 being faster?

Well in my opinion it isn't, but like I said, its just my opinion.

I have all three cares as well. For the longest time my'86 was the go to car for the 500PP race in the A-Spec Seasonal #4. Once I had the BR-Z I did everthing to it that I did to the '86 except suspension. Yes I did use the race suspension on all three cars. With the BR-Z I left the default settings on the suspension.

The first few races I could tell that the BR-Z to me was a better car. My lap times were consistently 1-1.5 seconds faster than the '86. The BR-Z has less HP but it also weighs less. So after comparing the 3 cars at the same track with all the same settings with the exception of the suspension IMO the BR-Z is the better car.

I am still waiting for the break in on the BR-Z. I've got about anoter 70-80 miles before the 178 mark. I do like the WRS rear wing on the BR-Z. So to be honest I do not believe that all 3 cars are the same. As mentioned before the BR-Z you can push harder than either the '86 or the Scion.

I have done some of my own testing between the 86 and BRZ, my findings on Tsukuba and Nordschleife show the BRZ is a tad quicker ( ~0.150 Tsukuba, ~1.1 seconds Nord) but in the Top Gear test track I was a tenth or so faster in the 86. Really this is very close and could maybe even turn tables if you hit a spot on lap.

However my acceleration testing on Route X shows the BRZ a tiny bit quicker but .2 km/h slower in top speed (BRZ 233.3km/h vs 86 233.5km/h), both brand new with oil change.
