Well, that's well forgotten now! :) No hard feelings. :)

Just wanted to show an exemple of the editor.

What's interesting about your vid Rosen is you know how the 'leaders' always tell us if you are being lapped to allow them to pass, well I think 'us' slow drivers can equally say 'leaders/winners' don't Starski & Hutch it across the line just because you can! :sly:

Well racers, we have reached the halfway point of S2. 4 races in, and 4 to go. A few statistics for you. Season 1's highest number in any 1 race was 12, season 2's so far is 14. Season 1 saw 15 drivers take part throughout the whole season. So far season 2 has had 18 participants. (although Not4A4 didnt start the first 2 races, but would have been willing to if it wasnt for connection problems). One statistic remains the same, and that is that Cobani is leading the championship at the halfway point, but this time by 15 points not 5.

The Sunday Cup S1 Standings after race 4.

Ade....I've heard about a secret glitch in GT5!!!!  its something to do with orange paint and online racing!

It causes you to win ALLLLL the time!

Oh no! The Sunday Cup will look like this from now on!

Ade, Dan has ... orange rims! <<cue Twilight Zone music>>

One more halfway point statistic is the pole position and fastest lap table. Cobani dominated Season 1 with 4 out of 4 pole positions, and 2 out of 4 fastest laps at the same point in the series. However in season 2 Cobani only has 1 entry on the table. Jimftr has 4 entrys, and we could see more if he returns for the rest of the series. Dan is level with Jim on fastest laps, and Cobrius has 1 Pole position. So the competition for the prizes for Pole position and most fastest laps is still wide open.

Ahhh yes, I forgot that!

Only a week until Race 5 free practice, and then the race next Sunday. Would be good to see some times posted during the week.

Other news, GTP_Joylord will not be able to make anymore races, so his grid position will go to Big_C.

Did some laps last week. If I remember right, I did 1.29.5xxx.

Was that on the softs? We had a very small run at Trial mountain after last nights GT3.5 Cup. The track is very bumpy in the Elise so I may need to soften my suspension a little. Only done a couple of laps so will try to get some proper lap times during the week. Jamesy managed a 1:28.xxx

I've had a short go at TM with both tyres.. Did a 28.6 on the med and a 26.6 on the soft. I found that its quite hard on the tyres, and easy to lose the rear in the fast downhill left before the tunnel.. but that could be just my settings.. 👍

That was on soft, that I remember. Well, now I'm getting a little unsure about the 1.29.5xx. :nervous:

I also noticed the bumpyness of Trail mountain, so I soften my suspension, otherwise no changes. The soft suspension did great difference. 👍

I think I will get some track time this evening. :)

A few laps on the soft tyre tonight showed me that Trial Mountain is going to be a bit more greedy on the rubber than any track we have raced on yet. Fastest I managed was a 28.7xx, way off alien Dans time of 26.6, but I was using the pad not the wheel, so should improve on that. I tried softening the suspension, but was getting better results when I switched back to my original set up. With 26 laps of Trial Mountain in Sundays race, I think its going to be a tall order to manage 19 laps on 1 set of softs, so tyre strategy's will play a big role in this race.

Had my first proper practice with the wheel tonight, and managed to trim over a second off the pad time. 1:27.687 on the softs. Still over a second off alien Dans 26.6, but I am still pleased with it. There is no way that I could keep up that pace for the whole race though, as I had to push so hard, and with other cars on the track it would be carnage, and I think small mistakes here are going to be very costly. I can also some drivers going for 2 stop strategys if they choose to use the medium tyre for the minimum of 7 laps. Short race practice will tell us more on Saturday at 8.00pm.

just stopped trying to drift every corner!!

It is hard not to try and drift the corners here, but you lose so much time with even the slightest step out at the rear, and cook the tyres to. There are still a couple of turns that I find it difficult, but by thinking ahead and braking a bit earlier seems to help.

yes this track requires you to be very smooth!! but once you get the rhythm can be really rewarding. hate how online driving is so different than just testing in practive mode. should be a very interesting race sunday!!

i was just giving happy a hard time!! :-)

We should see a fairly full grid again for tomorrows Trial Mountain race. It will be interesting to see the pace with lots of cars on track. I know that I had to push right to the limit to get my fastest time of 1:27.6xx, and as the track has no run offs, and is surrounded by mountain rocks, any mistakes will be costly, and may be brutal! I will open the practice lounge at 8.00pm tonight for an hour or so of short race practice.
