I'd prefer to read it too, but whereas I could read The Ballad all day, I can only read the Fallout one in bursts of one or two chapters a time :S

Yeah, I'm not sure how much this series will grow though, there are already more than 30 parts as it is. If there are new parts being churned out a few months from now, I don't think I would be able to keep up with the pace at which this series is growing, assuming that I do start reading it.

It's not dedication that's my problem, it's that I don't get any real joy out of reading it.

If I'm honest, that's exactly how I feel when I play Fallout: New Vegas, I just don't enjoy it for some reason. I'm wondering if I would get the same feeling when reading Fallout: Equestria. By the way, I don't feel the same way about Fallout 3, I still think it's an enjoyable game.


EDIT: Having thought about it, I might start reading it this evening, that is if I remember to.

I'm the same, I love Fallout, New Vegas especially. (I dunno why, the story feels more...overarching, like you're becoming part of a bigger picture.) But the MLP fic of it just...well it doesn't really do anything for me as a fan of either. It's too grimdark to appeal to my pony side, but just not quite right for my Fallout side.

For example, its been a while since I saw a straight up "everything bad happens to Dash" story, let alone one with the triple whammy of [GrimDark][Shipping][Sad]. And I know that I don't want to read the one that went up last night, but I also know that I don't have a good enough of an excuse to not read it that I won't end up reading it anyways.

I knew I was going to eat these words going into it, but that foresight doesn't make them taste any better.

Some news from BronyCray's DA page concerning his new story, "Mareway and Hurst":

This is a one shot story I've been working on for awhile, and this is actually the second attempt at it. I'm satisfied with it now, and the prereaders seem to like it, so I'm uploading here as a DA link for EqD.

This story is based on the song "Broadway and Hurst" by The Outline. Go check it out online, but you should be warned that the full version is impossible to find. If it ends with him getting away with it, that's not the right one. Honestly, if this story gets even one more person to buy the song, I'm satisfied with it. Most underrated band ever.

But that's not why I wrote it. I wrote it because, sometimes, the moral of the story is that **** happens. Sometimes you can just be in the wrong place at he wrong time, and hindsight won't help you there. Anyone who reads TNTNE knows how moral heavy it is, but this story steps away from that. This is a day in the life of a pony, albeit a very bad day.

Well I was correct about the name of the band, but I wasn't sure which of their songs BronyCray's new story was based on, at least we know now.

The Great and POWERFUL Trixie.



AKA: I found a relatively cheap source of azure paint chips.

And, yes, it is faster than the Twilight GT-R (No, that was not intentional). And, yes, the blue does look too bright in that photo, but when actually racing it is about perfect. Never mind I fixed it.


Now, I know what you may be thinking: "That doesn't seem like much of a Trixie car." But consider this: That car is glitched in a very specific way. When you flash the high-beams for it, the brake lights turn on as well. And wouldn't it be so like Trixie to pull that in a race and fake people out into thinking she is brake-checking them?

That Trixie car's looking good, at first I couldn't figure out the purple wheels, I got it eventually.
The colour does look better than your first version too.

How'd you get the cheep paint chips for it? And how does that glitch work, it seems like a pretty random thing to happen.

I may have built it with the pure intent of racing Apokalipse with it, because I gave him the original Twilight Skyline. Though his is probably actually faster, because I dumped a crapload more money into it when I was originally fiddling with it.


In any case, I wish I still had more of the lavender chip I used on the Twilight Skyline (because I think it works better on the wheels than what I used), but I exhausted my supply of them when I built the first Trixie GT-R and when I built a replacement Twilight Skyline.

Well, I have something like 30 Midnight Purple Pearl III chips (even after using so many of them on the Rarity cars), so I'm set for wheels.
I'm going to have to find a new source of blues, though, because the original one (which came from the Ferrari 512BB) was too bright. I have five more of the azure that it is colored now (came off of some Opel), but I need to find a replacement for when I exhaust those as well. I have a couple of ideas for things that might work, but I can't check till Bob is done with the Dream Car Championship.

And how does that glitch work, it seems like a pretty random thing to happen.

I have no idea. I noticed it a few days ago when I was fiddling with the GT-R I already had. You flash the high beams, and the tail lights turn on.

No, but my "freak myself the hell out more and more after each paragraph" reactions were (in hindsight) so wildly overblown that it is more pathetic than hilarious.

Are you thinking about using a specific paint texture for your Trixie GT-R such as metallic? Most of the metallic blue paint chips available on premium cars seem to be too dark in my opinion. The closest Trixie colour paint chip I could find was Jetstream Blue on the Corvette ZR1, but again, it appears to be a bit too dark.

Although it isn't Metallic, there is one paint colour that almost matches Trixie's colour, which is Grabber Blue (Mustang Mach 1). The annoying thing is that you can't get a paint chip for it.

My theory is that,the more you ship,the more stars you get,take for example TBoTS,it basically ships everything that can be shipped,even made up characters,and gets 6 stars,I guess that you have to ship even more that than to get better ranking,or get more hardcore with it.

But cutting out the silliness,I agree,at least one shipping involving either TxT or AxR.

Anyway I had a point here somewhere,oh yeah.
