So I herd u liek Pony Joe.

He's a war hero of the Royal Guard who's recovered from a really bad episode of PTSD, but has occasional relapses. Starts off rather slowly, but picks up really well by the second half of the first chapter. Written by the guy who wrote Variables.

So how would I go about converting the .mkv to .mpg or .mp4. I would normally be able to figure this out, but I feel like crap and can't really brain today.

I use to have something for that, but I don't feel like trying new things and finding out they don't work or leave a gigantic watermark on it, so I figured it's better to just ask.

Is there any loss to the quality when you use whatever program you're talking about? Because if not I'll do that, but if doing it by hand is the only way to keep them at their best I'll do it that way.

Funny you should mention that. I was looking at some of the latest story updates earlier and this fanfic in particular caught my attention. I've seen updates for it in the past but I never got round to reading it, plus I was in the mood to read something yesterday but A Cup of Joe never crossed my mind. I read Variables last week by the way, so I'm familiar with the author.

I don't how many chapters I can manage tonight, but I'll try and read the first one at least.

That depends entirely on how the .mkv was made, unfortunately. Most .mkvs don't require reencoding to be used on a PS3, but some do.

The programs you want are Avidemux and tsMuxer if you want to do it by hand, and mkv2vob if you aren't.

I personally suggest putting Avidemux on your computer anyways, because it is a very useful program simply by virtue of how much it can do. I'll burn through the Frigid Winds update and then I'll do up a little tutorial.

Ok, you've gone to bed, slept and woken up again, and I'm still online and awake. This is probably not good for my sleeping cycle.

Gone to work, hated it, came back just in time to remind you that I work faster than you!

Of course, your fic is better anyway...but I have something!

Thanks. I'll try the easy way for now and see what happens. If that doesn't work for some reason I'll just wait until I'm feeling better to commit any more brain power to this.

So the 720p set you've got; is that from the link I posted or somewhere else?

Right. Guess I better get searching then.

EDIT: Downloading all of them in 1080p with 5.1 right now. Right, my brain is tired of doing things, and instead of working today I've mostly been sitting in my living room burning through Full Metal Alchemist on Netflix because I feel like garbage. I had seen parts of it, and figured I might as well watch it now that I can watch every episode instead of every other like I did before it was on Netflix. I'd read The Ballad, but that's one of those stories where reading it without being capable of giving it my full attention just feels wrong.

I'm downloading all the episodes in a higher quality 720p level than my last ones

Also I believe that all 1080p videos are just upscaled 720p versions because I don't think The HUB broadcasts in Full HD

Me doesn't believe in native 1080p for this sort of broadcasts.

And where is 7.1?

(*Wonders why rubbish songs fits so well when used properly*)

Good morning bronies.

I'll need to re-download the last episode, my copy keeps freezing. :(

Toro... how many times you already glitched the game?

NSX RM with standard exhaust, corvette with white tires, infinite paint...

The episode I got today was 1080p, but only stereo. The sound quality is very good though.

I knew it. 2 minutes after I leave. :grumpy:

Have a comic vector image.

Edit: unit-one, every RM I've done gives me the standard exhaust. I've had to equip the Racing exhaust to my RM cars.

Apparently, it was just Spec II retardedness rather than actual infinite paints. Oh well. I still got an Twilight Sparkle Alfa out of it, with which I will use to troll people online.

Or not, depending on how this DLC crap plays out.

Not just the NSX. All of them.

That quality is good, but once you hear Winter Wrap Up in 5.1 you'll never want to hear it otherwise again.

Sorry I still use DA for a lot of my uploads. I think it's quicker to find the image I want than the gallery. (Well when it's working properly).
