Technically? It's got some problems, and it really could have used an editor because dialog at parts gets really hard to read.

Hmm, even if it does have those problems, it seems like the story is worth a look at least. I've read a few fics where the dialogue is rather hard to read, and in a way, that problem kind of ruins those stories (not completely, but they would have been much more enjoyable if the dialogue wasn't so tough to read). I've bookmarked the fic anyway, so I might make a start on it tomorrow unless TNTNE suddenly updates.


And regarding those Tumblrs, honest to god, I have no idea which ones you guys are talking about, but whatever.

I honestly don't get lilmissrarity. I mean, I get it, I understand what it's about; but I don't see the appeal. The only dark one that I actually follow is Pinkamena, because it's the only one I find to be any good.

Also, good choice on that poster, Toro. I'm considering getting on myself, but I'm not sure I have room on my wall. Well, I've got the room, but it's already looking a little too crowded. It's going to go over my dresser, above my college diploma and Duke Nukem statue. Last uncovered wall in my bedroom after I moved my old Sonic shirts from my closet door to the opposite wall when I replaced the speakers in my room and had to take apart the door to get them to fit.

I'm familiar with that one, yeah. I don't follow lilmissrarity myself, nor do I have any interest in doing so, but I do follow Pinkamena as I've done so for quite a while now.


Anyway, I was considering buying GT5 DLC yesterday, but after seeing the problems surrounding the DLC I decided not to purchase it. But now it looks as though some of the problems will be sorted out fairly soon, so the chances of me buying it have increased in the past day or so. I might get it as soon as Friday, but I haven't made a final descision yet.


Oh, and there's something else that I plan on buying by the end of the week (something awesome and quite possibly pony related).

The coupon is for a 20*16, which isn't massive (a little bit smaller, and with a squarer aspect ratio, than an A2 sheet), but is much bigger than any of the ones I have. I might get it framed, too, depending on how it comes out.

There's that or, and this is my big problem, I could say screw it and just get a picture of Applejack printed. Like this one (which I wouldn't even have to screw around with resizing). Or that one JJ image.

By aesthetics, do you mean something closer to the show's art style? Because that really doesn't bother me. I know what it is going to be, and some of the art styles by more prominent artists (JJ, Sweatshirt, and a couple others who take the show's style and tweak it a little; usually to be a bit more realistic) I actually prefer to the show's style.

Creepy as 🤬. It almost immediately made me uneasy when I saw it on Ponibooru earlier today.

The problem, and the thing that makes it so creepy, is:

With Discord, it was obvious why he was turned to stone. He was a pretty bad dude, and he was also a guy who reveled in how little of a 🤬 he gave. With that pony, the comic implies that she didn't even know what she had done to be turned into stone by Celly.


Plus, the show all but spellt out Discord was lucid while he was a statue, which is scary enough by itself, but he was an immortal (or at least very long-lived) being who really didn't care. For that probably-not-immortal pony, I have to imagine the response to the world changing around her was quite a bit more horrifying than it would have been for Discord even if Discord did care.

Right. I've had a chance at listening to all of the songs through this headset. The all became much better, but I think that At the Gala gains the most from it, bu a wide margin. As far as the difference between listening with stereo and with surround goes, At the Gala has the largest difference.

The way Scrolls(Name given by comic author(Copyright claims by Bethesda incoming)) questions her actions made me think it was more of a regretful rhetorical question than a serious question. I mean, if she did something truly sick and terrible, maybe having x-amount of years to literally do nothing but think, and let the thought of what she had done stew in her mind made her regret it. That was my first thought, and just checking the comments on DA it seems like a few others are starting to have the same thought.

And don't forget, Discord might be immortal, or even long lived, but he's to be locked in that statue for eternity, and I don't care how long he lives, because he can't outlive an eternity. So he's doomed to spend the rest of forever as a statue, because I doubt Celly is putting him back in the garden. And Celestia said that he ruled Equestria at one point, so we can assume it's been at the very least 1000+ years for him already, and that's a long time to be completely immobile, even if you are immortal.

And I'm not saying the comic is bad, just that it's extremely wide open to interpretation.

Wake-up pic, amidoinitrite? Well, it was morning when I started...

Seriously, once they started meddling with the attributes (and when they changed how Special and Physical attacks worked) I lost almost all interest in the meta game. Too hard to keep track of, and too easy to make unbalanced in my experience.

I think the Physical/Special split was one of the things they definitely did right, and was a long time coming. There was no conceivable reason for Thunderpunch and Thunder Fang to be considered Special attacks just because they were Electric-typed. By making them Physical, suddenly Hitmonchan can actually use its own goddamn signature moves, not to mention Gyarados, whose massive Attack stat was wasted because all Water moves were Special while Gyarado's Sp.Atk was in the negatives. Oh, and before the Physical/Special split, Ghost moves were all considered Physical... Insert *my mind is full of f:censored:ck* pic here.

Basically, a whole mess of monsters became useful in battle because of it.

Many fanfics hype out the hell out of the Teletransportation spell, yet somehow Twilight performs it as something simply common in the episode.

Twi's teleportation is what first prompted me to start writing the Ballad. I was having a discussion with another brony about how Twilight doesn't use her win button to save lives, but instead uses it to not walk 2 steps. We concluded that Twi can't perform under pressure.

Edit: Also, I like the idea that teleportation is something all unicorns can learn, but other than Twilight none of them bothered to do so.

That is... very true, actually. Then again, EA attempted to do that, and came up with Origin, which is basically the equivalent of getting skullf:censored:ed every time you log in to play. How could these people get everything about Steam so very, very wrong? The damn thing doesn't even recognize PR as part of the US! It region-locks to SPAIN. "Ha! Ha! F:censored: you!
