Yeah that's true they unexpectedly developed the TH8 RS to be used with any wheel on supported platforms.

USB connection:
used with a PC, the gearbox is compatible with all racing wheels and games on the market that support multi-USB and gearboxes
used with the PS3™, the gearbox is compatible with racing wheels (including the T500 RS) and games (**) that have been developed to be compatible.

Seems too me Thrustmaster is giving Fanatec a hard run for their money on the PS3. But on the Xbox I wonder what TM is thinkin' just producing that low end, budget wheel that has no FFB.

I want to see a real wheel war take place on the Xbox but due to Microsoft's silly restrictions it seems like all the most powerful options will remain on the PS3/PC.

Still would like to see TM step it up and make a high quality wheel for that platform

Sandbox's quote seems to suggest it will be standalone on consoles.that support multiple usb input. Although the csp pedals cannot be plugged directly via usb on the ps3.....hmmmmm. we can be certain it will not work standalone on xbox due to licensing.

Be interesting to see fanatecs answer here. If that also uses hall sensors then the th8 may be able to be used with their wheels using a ps2/usb adaptor.

Its just a feeling of every tooth in the belt at slow turning speeds...very slow!
I would say its a very very good wheel!! 👍👍 I've only had logitect wheels the last a DFG

That is the exact description of what I discovered. But how long is this "break in" period supposed to be. Besides, I don't recall noticing this when I got the wheel.

I have my wheel set to the highest ffb setting, perhaps If it was at say 5... it would't be as noticeable ..........And to be honest It's only nit picking.....The wheel is light years ahead of what I had lol can't wait for the TH8!

Yeah, I'm probably being the perfectionist.

About the shifter, how are we suppose to connect this? Maybe I totally missed it in the previous comments but there aren't any ports left to connect this?

Allthough it wouldn't surprise me there will some split connector to connect both pedals and shifter on the same port.

Its a USB

Having its own USB connection is better, you get to use it with other wheels unlike the G27 shifter which requires rewiring and the installation of an USB controller. The TH8RS doesn't need any of this, you just plug it in and it works regardless of whether you have a T500RS or not.

Zalathas I have read we can order a multi-hub adapter to give our ps3 slims extra usb slots.

We use them, my fat PS3 uses a 10 slot hub. Powered by an AC adapter.

My daughter's Slim has a 4 slot passive and NEEDS it. Sony screwed the pooch by only having 2 slots on the Slims.

I wondered if these would work. Interesting. I plan to use one main port for wheel. Hub of the other and use my keyboard and flashdrive.

Thanks guys, this is Excellent!!!

So what is the best hub expansion for the slim's? Seeing as how I only have 2 at the moment and both of those are spoken for. I have searched the webs and don't want to make a bad decision with the different brands. Thanks in advance, Vince

Vince, this is quite similar to mine. Might even be the same one

I just searched "USB hub".
