Thats a nice wheel. Is only for Pc sims or can the button's be used for GT5?

They are both the same, and yes it can be used on PC with drivers from the Thrustmaster support site.
 
Hi guys
I have had my t500 for six months now and had no problems with the fan or any of the other problems that i have seen people post about, but a couple off weeks ago i noticed that that i started double shifting, at first i thought it must be me, but it started happening more often and only on the up shift, i would say it happens every 2 hours of racing. Just thought i would post this here in case anyone else has had the same problem and knows of a quick fix before i contact thrustmaster, thanks

/\ my down shift is double shifting every so often. There is a no audible click either any more. Started Last week. Hate to even call customer support again.
 
I haven't had any issues with my TH8 but have had a calibration problem with the T500. Thrustmaster technical support is extremely quick to respond to e-mails and were also quite helpful. After sending through software unavailable on the web site I still had issues so they replaced the entire unit for me. If you are polite and have all the information on hand you are wise to contact them as they will only help.
 
Sounds like you guys have defective shifter paddles. Not much you can do about it I reckon. Well, you could have a closer look but I doubt that will help much.
 
I was having a problem with the shifters double shifting and sometimes miss shifting. I removed the black cover plate with the six black screws and left it off while playing. This solved all my shifting problems. I realized that there was too much plastic on the cover plate and it was interfering with the shifters. So I filed down both sides, put back the cover, and everything has been working great. This might be your guys problem and it's a fairly simple solution.

Do you know about where you can source the components to build up this momo wheel-mod for the T500RS? Was wondering if that wheel was built up with a combo of Derek Spear's wheel plate and Bodnar's switch gear or perhaps it is a Frex wheel mod? Thanks.
 
Don't know exactly if it's a Derek or a Frex MOD (just found pics on iRacing).

It's a MOMO Mod 27 wheel fitted with a Derek Speare button panel + a Frex wheel adapter

Thanks for the followup. I didn't know those DS plates included the switches, I thought they were just sheet cut carbon templates. Will have to look into this further.

BTW: Is there any link to an installation video or manual on how to go about building up a functional wheel plate like this? So far all I can find from Bodnar's site are the individual pieces and such but no construction guide/tutorial. Wondering how to get this accomplished cleanly without wires hanging everywhere...

Today, the T500rs is $449 w/ FREE shipping on Amazon.com *That's a $110 less than yesterday o_O

Even if you pay $150 for the shifter, it still totals about $550.

Just noticed T500RS dropped down to $450 on Amazon last night. I was shocked to see it that low. I remember paying $550 when I got mine.

That is a good price. Lowest I've seen it on amazon I believe. For those of us with costco cards the 550 bundle is still the one to beat. Really happy with mine. But if you're not into the shifter and would rather get the F1 wheel, this amazon deal is better. As for me, I'm waiting like a tiger in the grass for that F1 wheel to start seeing some discounts.
 
I've been watching the F1 also, Best Buy has it in stock for a day or two and it's out now. Having a hard time finding it available.

I paid 520$ 2 weeks ago and they agreed to refund me the difference, go Amazon!

I paid $562.00 back in October, doubt they will refund me the difference since it's been 2 months.

That's a great deal but it certainly hurts my odds of getting a decent price if I decide to sell my T500RS (my CSR Elite is scheduled for delivery on the 20th). Guess I'll just hang onto it.
 
Those prices are really dropping. Darn, I bought my T500 much too early perhaps. Although in the last quarter of this year I had tons of fun in return already. :)
 
I've searched but came up empty. Is it possible to get the CSPs working with the T500 in GT5?

I assume on the PC they connect as separate devices and there is no issue.

Ok then, how has after sales support been for this wheel? I haven't been following too closely since the initial release. Are there common problems the wheel has and how well has Thrustmaster been as far as providing replacements/repairs etc?
