The Top Gear Photo Thread (Read First Post!!)

Being a long time fan of Top Gear and after watching countless reruns on BBC America I decided to give it a shot. So my idea was to do something based around the "Supercars go to France" piece they did with Jeremy in his Ford GT, Hammond a big orange Zonda and Captain Slow in a Ferrari F430.

To start with obviously I had to use the hard top F430 since there isn't a convertible one, I think I probably used the wrong orange colour for the Zonda (in retrospect I think the real one was more of a pearl or even gloss finish to my metallic one).

Also I couldn't find any really good tracks to properly do the "back roads of France" so I tried to do the best I could with the Course Maker, since I have no friends and don't race online I opted for some single car shots from early on in the piece where they were showcasing the cars a bit and did so Photoshopping (Paint Shop Proing in my case lol) to create a composite shot of them on the bridge at the end. Hope they turned out ok.

With the recent posts of the F430's, I got reminded of the F430 review from season 6:

HA, I know this post really means nothing, but ha, the italian COUNT, and that is shot is taken in Tuscany/Toscana if I'm correct, and if you're a Dream Theater fan, you should know The Count of Tuscany, so technically that Ferrari is The Count of Tuscany

I have tried to recreate some of the Lexus LFA shots from the review.

No Hammond to make this shot legit

Thanks GDll for bring this thread back! I was worried that it'd be lost. :D Good pics, it'd be awesome if they could be photoshopped with the blue flames coming out of the exhausts.

Too bad my photoshop skills are almost non existent and I don't have photoshop.

I need to watch more Top Gear with cars that GT5 has. I did watch the 1st American special last night with the Camaro, Dodge Ram and Cadillac. Got the DVD for $1.:)

You can download entire seasons (for free) on Finalgear.com They also upload the most recent episodes an hour right after they air. I've got every single season and special episode. :dopey: Let's just say I'm a very big fan of Top Gear UK. :sly: I've got their magazines, books, poster, stickers (for my future car), etc. :D

Props for throwing DT into a GT5 photo-thread  I like it 👍

Hello! I'm a new member here, but I've browsed GTP for years now...

Anyways, here's my contribution. I had inspiration from the LFA review and edited one of my shots in GIMP. Hope you like it!

Hi Guys, this is my first contribution. I think this one looks really topgearish. I don't know if the Elise they testet was white, but its a great shot anyway.

Rather sad that this thread's kinda died off. To bring it back I'll work on the new season's MP4-12C vs. 458 Italia. Hope some more people will be able to help out and bring in some more great pics. ^_^ Sorry for those who are looking at this since I've got no pics yet.

 Wow, did you just recently take those pictures? Haha, I don't think I really need to take pictures myself then, those are great.

^^ :ouch: could you not have said that without quoting the whole of the previous post.

Nice pics BTW NB, especially the Mclaren v 458 set 👍👍
