I think everyone will disagree with me but I HATE the color Sliver :yuck: on cars. I just hate it on every car. And it's everywhere.

What's with Nissan and this horrible "gold" color on the Juke and Rogue? (And w/e other models they stick this horrid color on) :yuck:

There's way to much hate for bright green in this thread, I'm disappointed.

It's the bright green on a 12k econobox with 99whp that I absolutely cannot stand. They clearly made that color available on those car so that the 76 year old lady who buys one can find it easier in the grocery store's parking lot. And it doesn't only affect lime green, yellow and orange econoboxes have absolutely no purpose of existing in life.

One of my dad's first 'cars' was this model Ford Escort van:

In this colour yellow (shown on a later model):

Explanation?

Well, we're a poor bunch and we ended up getting an ex-Royal Mail postal van on the cheap. Yellow paint must have been the easiest to 'acquire' and they painted over the whole vehicle, including the obvious Royal Mail logos. It was still red on the inside. My dad must have been 21-24 at the time and I 3-6.

The net result was that it was incredibly easy to spot in car parks, not least because it's a bright yellow van let alone a car. With just the two front seats and no seatbelts in the cargo section, it made for fun family trips up and down the Welsh mountains and country lanes too.

Speaking of ugly cars

Anyone who sticks those stupid eyelashes on the headlights of their cars

Honestly, this should be considered Car cruelty
That has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

RE colours, most I've seen in here are excellent.

Oh, and can I just add to this thread any colour produced by British Leyland between 1968 and 1986.

WTF is Antelope!? You really have to have given up on life to choose that.

@axletramp The ones from there I dislike:

Blaze, Bronze Yellow, Harvest Gold, Blue Royale, Limeflower, Wild Moss, Fawn Brown, Antelope, Bedouin, El Paso Beige

Damask Red, Flame Red, Midnight Blue, Black Tulip, Teal Blue, Blue Royale, Bermuda Blue, Aqua, Almond Green, Green Mallard, Racing Green, Connaught Green, Black, Sky Mist Grey. Cumulus Grey and Glacier White are all good.

But you have reminded us all of that association of British Leyland and its family of mustard, brown and beige. Thanks.

Harvest Gold in particular makes me wretch.

The Rover SD1 estate looks much better in red.

I learnt to drive in a Teal Blue Allegro 1300HL with yellow pinstripes. And for that reason all BL colours should be wiped from history.

German car colours really annoy me. VW, Mercedes, Audi, and BMW are all guilty. They'll often offer about 10 colours on a car. One will be a dark blue, one a bright and cheap-looking non-metallic red, one white, two blacks, and 5 greys. and so you're stuck choosing which shade of grey you like best, since the blues are some of the dullest blues ever conceived.

Watch it you! Although I do believe there at least 50 words for silver in German.

@axletramp I don't see Russett Brown on that list. A colour used on far too many different BL cars throughout the 70s. The only thing it didn't look out of place on was the classic Range Rover.

Harvest Gold in particular makes me wretch.

Not too bad depending on the vehicle. Plus it's nowhere near as in-your-face sickly as Bronze Yellow.

It looked especially poor on smaller models.

I prefer Bronze Yellow over Harvest Gold.* But this is like preferring Lisa Riley over Michelle McManus.

*Harvest Gold looks like Bronze Yellow that has faded considerably.

Saw a 'Porsche Viper Green' Audi RS4 Avant (B7) yesterday. Was repulsive. :yuck: Save it for the GT3 RS's please guys.

Hey, a guy I know has a 72 911 in that colour! Here it is backstage at La Sarthe.

I'm almost with you on this one. Silver looks pretty dull on many cars... not all of them... IMO.

I have the same problem with white. I dislike it on many cars, but not all of them...

Of course... who doesn't hate gold chrome?

The new M3 goldellow, although "refreshing," is hideous IMO

Strange orange on an V8 Vantage

And this really tricky green color on this Dart. I have a feeling it's not an original color choice, but could be wrong.
