RACE #35 RESULTS

Ok, to start. We are working on the size of the image, but since we were done with the draft, we wanted to go ahead and produce our project. Again, this is not to replace the “Official” leaderboard, just an addition to it. I am sure that no one in there right mind from the old GT3 WRS, would ever imagine that the GT4 WRS would almost triple in numbers?

This will work in same way as Cyrill’s. We will use the best 6 of past 8 weeks to keep the conformity of the “Official” leaderboard and our Division 3 leaderboard. But you will notice that roughly the top 10, do pretty up match Cyrill’s.

But with the growing drivers, we thought this would “spice” up the Division, and that this would give the spirit of better competition to all, and see how they are doing in comparison to the rest of the field.

In the PDF file, you will see a page on the Point system. I sort of based this off current NASCAR style, with little modifications for 100 racers. (As we are getting very close to that now) Basically, the top 3 are separated by 5 points, then 4 points for 4th though 10th, 3 points for reaming top 25. 26-75 are 2 point separations, with bottom 25 at 1 point separation. 210 points to 1 point

To cover the layout some, we have the Divison 3 position, followed by the WRS standing if they are in the WRS Leaderboard, with the change of spots (TY Cyrill on the Arrows), then where they were the week before on the Division 3 leaderboard. Driver, followed by Division 3 points, followed by the points for the past 2 races (for right now). Then we go into a little stats that just make things maybe more interesting. # of Starts, # of 1st’s , 2nd’s and 3rd’s and number of top 20’s (which also indicates number of times they received points)

Once results are posted, we will be entering the new week data in and posting the new stats.

Again, we hope all enjoy the little project that Natalya and I have been working on over the past few days. We are still refining some things, to make it little more user friendly for us and make the presentation little easier. As always, we are welcome to comments, suggestion, questions you may have, and of course (hope not to many) gripes.

Sweet looking Leaderboard, I got kinda busy and never had much time to PM CFM my time =/

But since you went through all this trouble to make a nice looking card, I'll go ahead and send in my times every week, thanks for the encouragment :)

Hey WOW , this looks great. Thanks Natalya and Chris for the effort, I think it will be well worth it, and yes it gives those who dont score points on the "official" leaderboard an added incentive to keep at it. 👍👍 (this means me, if i dont pull my finger out)

Hope this hasnt cut into your driving time this week, with 70 plus in the group, there is no time to spare :scared: .
Again thanks , great effort

Hehhehehe, yeah, Chris and I seem somewhat 'blessed' with jobs that sit us in front of a computer and enable us to do a little GT4 'work'. I'm transferring my files to my thumbdrive so I can put a little extra time in on this today instead of ... whatever I'm MEANT to be doing, i suppose, lol.

Beauty of this is that it is a spreadsheet, and that's exactly what people expect to see on my screen =D

My only gripe is that you don't include the other divisions :grumpy:

Great job Natalya and Chris!

This definately should help stop people getting dis-couraged and dropping out!

Looks great, and very comprehensive!
👍 👍

WOW is not the word that describes this!
More like "holly fu*&%$% sh**! :)

That is some nice work! 👍

May I make a small suggestion? Hopefully it'll be easy to be incorporated...

After every weeks WRS event, it would be nice to see on the main leaderboard a column that shows where the driver was at last week as opposed to just showing either an UP or down arrow...since the arrow can represent a move of +3 spots in either direction.

As a visual of what I'm trying to get at, look at how the PGA Tour does it here...(OT..GO TIGER! :D)

As of right now, if I want to see how I'm doing, I have to jump back & forth between last weeks WRS results and the updated one...

What do you think? Would something simple like this be easy to incorporte?

Thx-

Isn't that accomodated for in the "LAST" column? Or do you want to show where the person was in the Div3 board AND the WRS board last week?

Sphinx waits for the Unofficial Unofficial Div 3 leaderboard, Oh wait, this is it.

This is absolutely marvelous!!! 👍 👍 👍 👍

Mucho big thanks to Kolyana and Teledriel.

I won't speak for the rest of the D3 folks, but I suspect it will be a long while before I'm able to compete with D2 or (gasp) D1, so it's great to have this data within D3. It makes for a more interesting competition, I think.

So thanks again!

Of course, my son's first comment will be, "yep, still beating you, Dad."

Excellent, great, wonderful, perfect job :-)
  Thank you for that table for your work and time that you spent ;)

As Nat stated, the "Last" column shows the placement the week before in our Division 3 Leaderboard. Am trying to keep columns down to a few so it not so cluttered, but at same time tring to keep ones that will seem important.

That's weird, I'm in different positions on the two boards...

Because of the bigger point spread on the Div 3 board. (I.E. 210 is fist vice the 25 on Cyrill's). So people that moved with out racing the week, may of moved a little on Cyrill's but on the Div 3 board, droped alot. Also taking you into account, you are tied on the WRS one, but not on this one.

Notice right now all the top spots have raced in both weeks, and we award all drivers points so the total will be more than someone who might of only raced 1 week so far. But as time goes and the constant racers race, when we hit the 6 of 8 rule, things will sort of balance out as new racers come in, old racers drop or even get promoted into the next Division.

Ooh, very nice. With all this recent Div3 love, I bet many more with be racing actively around here.

Well golly gee...I'm an ass! Now that I've taken a second look at the screenshot, and actually read the description/explanation this all makes sense now!

OH Geezz...I really need to get off this grave-yard shift at my job..it's really affecting my reading/comprehension skillz! :D

This looks great!

Now i can see just which people i need to get better times than too stay off the bottom of the table. And if my current times for week 3 are any indication, i may be struggling to stay of the bottom.

Thanks guys and girls for putting all the hard work and effort in, to make div 3, a worthy div to race in.

Ok, I'll bite. What's the 6 of 8 rule?

Hehhee, it's explained in Flat-Out's Unofficial Leaderboard Thread, but essentially you score points for the BEST SIX results from the last EIGHT races ... so if you don't race for 8 weeks, you'll actually have no points (you'll still have a grand total, but the points used for assessing your position within the board will be zero).

It also means that if you run 2 crummy weeks, but do well for 6 weeks, it'll be those 6 weeks that count.

I have that right, yeah Teledriel?
