The Vehicle Wish List & Info Database

I have to diasgree with calling HSVs tuner vehicles, unless you count AMG, SRT, ///M-Spec etc as tuners as well.
I second that:tup:

I'm a Japanese Ol' Skool car lover and most of my favourites aren't in there!! So, to give this field some diversity, allow me to introduce some cars that PD keep forgetting to put in:

MAZDA
1969 Mazda R100 Coupe {10A}
1972 Mazda RX2 [Series 2, four round front headlights] {12A}
1973 Mazda RX3 [Savanna] [10A front] {10A}
1974 Mazda RX3 [12A front] {12A}
1974 Mazda RX4 {13B}
1976 Mazda RX5 {13B}
1979 Mazda RX7 [Series 1] {12A}
1982 Mazda Cosmo [HB model] {12A Turbo}
1983 Mazda RX7 [Series 3] {13B}

HOLDEN/ISUZU
1975 Isuzu/Holden Gemini [TX] {1.6L SOHC}
1979 Holden Gemini [TE] {1.6L SOHC}
1983 Isuzu Gemini ZZ/R [TG] {1.8L DOHC}

TOYOTA
1976 Toyota Celica RA23 {18R-GU, 2.0L}
1978 Toyota Celica RA28 [Mustang Shape]
1983 Toyota Celica GT-T [TA63] {3T-T, 1.8L Turbo}

You can search and confirm, they all exist, and are all production models.
I like...I like!
Are you requesting coupes or sedans for RX3, RX2 and RX4 as I recon both should be on the list.
Btw was the series 1 RX2 with square head lights? Also have fond memories of my cousins series 3 RX2 (sedan).

Haha sorry didn't notice! :P

Is fine. If the SVX hasn't been wished yet I'll come back later with a wish for that one. (For CraftyLandShark)

Edit: I have a question for TVB. I'm just curious, the HSV VXR was rejected for being a rebadged Opel (which is fine), so how does Vauxhall work? All Vauxhalls are rebadges of Opels and Holdens, it pretty much excludes the whole brand.;)

-> Ok, here's what I've done so far. Another long post! :boggled:

Looks good! Oh and if you want some help with the research for the cars I post, then just ask considering I'm on the computer every day. :P
^ I will let you know if ever I'm in a pinch. ;)

Edit: Some Vette's

^ I got you list. Plus I've modified some Vettes on your list, added some, and transferred from V5.0. All is good. :)

About the Lobini:

Yes, the car is a targa, but i posted the two because there are 2 configurations. There is a "coupé" version as well, that was showed on 2006 São Paulo International Auto Show. It's exactly the same design as the Targa one, but with fixed roof. Don't know if it went production though. (Info in portuguese http://www.zap.com.br/carros/dicas-materias-veiculos/acessorios-e-equipamentos/default.aspx?mat=440)

- H1 Skeleton Car '06 (2006 São Paulo International Auto Show) PIC1 PIC2 PIC3 PIC4 PIC5

The H1-R is the one i posted as H? Special Track Car Prototype '2006. So you can add that as well. It was developed in conjunction with VEKTOR Concept. http://www.pavaodesign.com.br/news/noticia.php?id=28
Another pic here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/esouza/276773849/

Plus new pics of the Track Day prototype: PIC PIC2 PIC3 PIC4 PIC5
This car is being used to test the new engine. They'll replace the Audi 1.8 Turbo engine for a Ford Duratec 2.0 Turbo (at least is what everybody is talking about).

PS: There's also a Lightweight version of the H1 in testing. 2006 Pics: http://autodiario.blogspot.com/2006/05/lobini-light-weight.html
^ Thanks for retrieving the Skeleton prototype, and I've always thought that I was lying or not. However your first link didn't provide the pics I would hope for the Lobini H1 Cupê, but in the end, I provided one (although it is still in Portuguese). All of your cars are on the list, had a hard time of selecting your pics. ;)

rauh-welt S15
:)
=Pic=
^ Thanks for bringing up the Japanese Porsche tuner specialist, RAUH-Welt. While you provided their only JDM car, I included their ferocious 930, 964, and 993 cars, go check out the WL with their links included. ;)

VWL V5.5

Suzuki - North America
Suzuki Forenza [2.0L 4cyl.] sedan '05 Pic
Suzuki Forenza [2.0L 4cyl.] wagon '05 Pic

About the Forenza:
Yes, I do know the Forenza is also a Buick-Chevrolet-Daewoo, but I want the Suzuki. The '06 listed under Chevy currently has a different grille arrangement. 2005's had a 3 piece grille rather than the Chevy arrangement of 2006.
^ Aha! The Chevy Optra/Lacetti version! Don't worry I'm aware of those cars especially the Lacetti in which is the 2nd car used in Top Gear's Star in a reasonably priced car. Plus the USDM-spec Forenza has some unique trimming compared to the Daewoo/Chevrolet (Lacetti/Optra). ;)

Acura
Acura TSX sedan '04 Pic

and TSX:
And Yes, I also know that the 2004 TSX is a Honda Accord Euro-R, but again, different interior for one, and secondly the badging is different ;) .
^ I'm sorry to barge in, but your stratement there is false. Actually the TSX quite differs the Euro-R in some ways:
1. The Euro-R uses the same engine as the K20 from the Integra [DC5] Type-R in JDM-land (the DC5 will be in the WL soon).
2. The TSX on the other hand has the K24 variant which features lower hp, but a bit of a higher torque to compensate that.
3. Actually the TSX is quite similar to the Euro-spec Accord Type-S in some minor packaging issues.
4. Also the suspension tuning on the TSX is also different to the Euro-R
5. And the K24 in the TSX is a USDM exclusive even the Euro-Accord doesn't even have that.

Kia - North America
Kia Rondo EX V6 '07 Pic
Kia Spectra EX '05 Pic

And to those wondering "WHY?!":
I picked the crapo Spectra and Rondo just because I would love to see how they would compare against something with true power! (Lemme say tho, the Rondo has some serious get-up-and-go for what it is...not to mention the Forenza as well)
^ Added it in. I also added the Spectra5 for fun. ;)

Toyota - North America
Toyota Avalon XLE sedan '01 Pic
Toyota Camry XLE V6 sedan '01 Pic
Toyota Camry LE V6 [1MZFE] sedan '95 Pic
^ Nice list, but there are some corrections:
1. The Avalon XLE doesn't exist until recently, so the only top-trim back in 2001 was the XLS. I also included its chassis code too.
2. I was confused about the 2nd Camry, the chassis code you've provided is actually an engine code, so I revised that to [SV30]. :)

Oh wow, forgot to add one of my new favorites...

Volvo - North America
Volvo C30 T5 '08

omg, the power of that turbo 5 cyl is just, so very nice! lol Test drove one not too long ago and fell in love with it. (Not to mention it starts at like $25k!)
^ It is a very competent car, I saw a video from Best MOTORing stating that this car is very competitive. :)

All the cars I listed could be found on the HSV website, which I provided a link to for you.:confused:
What was wrong with my format? Anyway, I didn't know you didn't want re-badges, but OK. (I just wanted an HSV badge :lol:).
I have to diasgree with calling HSVs tuner vehicles, unless you count AMG, SRT, ///M-Spec etc as tuners as well.

Edit: Great job otherwise, I see you left out the 40th anniversary GTS for a standard one. The 40th Anniversary one introduces a new gearbox that will become standard on future models, plus it has the original HK's stripes which I thought was very cool. I'm happy either way.👍
^ Man, since the fanbase of HSV is stronger than I expected, I included the HSV Astra VXR just because of its influence. I've also edited HSV from tuner sedan to sports sedan. :)
-> Plus I included the GTS 40th AE, since I added the Camaro SS 35th AE. :indiff:

I'm a Japanese Ol' Skool car lover and most of my favourites aren't in there!! So, to give this field some diversity, allow me to introduce some cars that PD keep forgetting to put in:

MAZDA
1969 Mazda R100 Coupe {10A}
1972 Mazda RX2 [Series 2, four round front headlights] {12A}
1973 Mazda RX3 [Savanna] [10A front] {10A}
1974 Mazda RX3 [12A front] {12A}
1974 Mazda RX4 {13B}
1976 Mazda RX5 {13B}
1979 Mazda RX7 [Series 1] {12A}
1982 Mazda Cosmo [HB model] {12A Turbo}
1983 Mazda RX7 [Series 3] {13B}
^ I made a scramble tactic on these cars. Since you forgot to jot down on which countries they represent. So heres what I've done:

VWL V5.5
^ I hope you agree with this setup. ;)

HOLDEN/ISUZU
1975 Isuzu/Holden Gemini [TX] {1.6L SOHC}
1979 Holden Gemini [TE] {1.6L SOHC}
1983 Isuzu Gemini ZZ/R [TG] {1.8L DOHC}
^ I added them as a Holden since it is tough to dig it up under Isuzu (not much fanfare). :)

TOYOTA
1976 Toyota Celica RA23 {18R-GU, 2.0L}
1978 Toyota Celica RA28 [Mustang Shape]
1983 Toyota Celica GT-T [TA63] {3T-T, 1.8L Turbo}

You can search and confirm, they all exist, and are all production models.
^ Yes I do agree that they all exist. But again, none of these cars represent on which country are they based from, but anyway I improvised instead:

VWL V.5.5
^ Is that ok? Tell me what you think. :)

Vector Avtech:
1978 W2 Concept
1991 W8
1992 WX3 Concept
1996 M12
2008 WX8 hyper car

thanks to supercars.net for these entries.

The Vector WX8 is Vector's newest car that has an estimated top speed of 270mph+.
^ Recently, with the whole mumbo-jumbo with Vector in the past few years, its formal name is Vector Motors Corporation.

VWL V5.5
Aston Martin
2009 One-77 Concept
I know the Aston One-77 is already on the list, but it is listed as a 2008 Concept car when it is really a 2009 model, so my listing is more of a correction than an actual request.
^ So far, I labeled it as a concept car due for various reasons. First specs haven't finalized yet; then, so far they're just showing 'teasers' of the car no formal 'global unveiling' thingy; and no confirmed pics that this car has been running somewhere only as a show piece at Paris. I won't change its 'concept car' profile until I get some news that it will be released as a proper production car. Yes, I do hear some deposit have made according to Aston Martin, but it still wont cut it.

^ The car is already on list. ;)

^ I'm not disregarding them or anything, but since (especially on USDM market) these vehicles have more than 20+ trim levels and combinations per model. Let say for one, the 11th gen Ford F-150, this truck have so many trims and combinations that will make the entire Mustang and Skyline models seem weaksauce in comparison.

-> So I kinda developed an idea, lets say per truck model we can jot down at least a minimum of 2 models to a maximum of 4 (5 would be pushing it, unless there are special circumstances).

Sport/Sporty
Bling/Luxury
Off-Road/Hard-Core
Performance
Special

->This will only applies only to each manufacturer within the generation, so exceptions towards tuners examples like Saleen, Roush, and Foose.

Heres an example:

(All of them would be under Ford NA, so Saleen/Roush are not included)
-FORD NORTH AMERICA- (sorry for the exagerration of the brand)
Ford F-150 [11G] FX2 Sport = Sporty/Sport oriented model, tuned for tarmac-only duty.
Pic

Ford F-150 [11G] FX400
= Hard-Core 4x4 off-road model, tuned for rally/off-road competition.
Pic

Ford F-150 [11G] Limited = Bling, you get the idea.
Pic

Ford F-150 [11G] SVT Lightning concept = Performance, destined to whoop your butt.
Pic

Ford F-150 [11G] Harley-Davidson Edition S/C = Special circumstance vehicle, *mark your purpose here*.
Pic

^ Same applies to other SUVs, what do you think? :)

-> I can explain it better on my later post, for now I'm in a hurry ('cause I'm at work). See ya lates! :sly:

I understand. and like the idea. Like the Ram SRT10 would be Performance and the Ram Daytona or Ram Rumble Bee would be the Special. :P I like it. narrows it down.

Agree on the idea TVB, in fact that's sort of the idea I've been following while updating my list. Anywho:

-Chevrolet North America-

Believe it or not TVB, all of the models I made mention of were originally released in Japan, most of them ended up being released globally anyway. The Isuzu Gemini ZZ/R was a Japanese only model and I think the TA63 was aswell. All the rest I'd listed have actually been released internationally in one form or another.

Just a side note, but while the generation number for the Cayman does not necessarily have to be there (it is the only generation so far), its gen. code actually has a "c" on the end of it making a 987c to distinguish it from the 987 Boxster.

About Lobini:

^ Thanks for retrieving the Skeleton prototype, and I've always thought that I was lying or not. However your first link didn't provide the pics I would hope for the Lobini H1 Cupê, but in the end, I provided one (although it is still in Portuguese). All of your cars are on the list, had a hard time of selecting your pics. ;)

That's cool. I provide that link of the "Cupê", because it says in portuguese that it's a version that was showed at the 2006 São Paulo International Auto Show. Forgot to add the translated version.

The problem with pics of it is that is just a normal Lobini with the fixed roof. :D I guess the difference it's only noticeable when the car is up close. Plus it is a Speedster not a Coupé. (I have no idea why they call it a Cupê).

I tried to get all possible pics, so i could to help you. Have you ever seen one? It's a fantastic little car.

Edited: Just found an article that talks about new stuff about it. On this year's São Paulo Auto Show, the company will present the car with the updated engine, console panels and some other small upgrades.

The car will have 3 different road versions: S (Street), RS (Racing Street) e R (Racing). It seems that the Ford Duratec engine (probably with Turbo) will have 210HP, running on Ethanol. On the article it mentions that the engineers said it's the ideal power for the road car. (the actual car with the Audi 1.8T has 180HP).

And the new Lobini Racing Cup prototype will have a tuned 2.3 Ford Duratec with 230+ HP. If everything goes right, the Lobini Racing Cup will start in 2009 as a preliminary race of the Brazilian GT3 Championship.

Here's the article were i gathered all this info: http://carmagazine.uol.com.br/materia/?id=08042902552413
If you need a translation, let me know. But the most important i already translated here.

PS: The 2008 Auto Show is gonna open next week, so i'll probably have more info soon.

I would like to open up a discussion regarding to the following vehicles:

Pickups (primarily based in the in the US, we can also discuss other markets too)

I would like to think the wish list would need a maximum of 2 variations of each model (eg Dodge Ram SRT/10 and the next best only). I strongly believe 4 varients of the same F150 are too much.

Buickgnx88- can you copy photos from gmphotostore, cause I managed to get one photo then it wouldnt let me rightclick again???

Say that again? I'm not quite understanding what you're trying to say.

He means he doesn't think there should be any more than 2 variations of the same model.
Eg. VE Commodore SS
VE Commodore Calais V
VE Commodore Berlina V8
That's 3 variations of the same model with the same engine, he thinks there shouldn't be more than 2.

Sorry , I meant to say the photos you linked in your last posts came from a site called gmphotostore.com and I like to keep good photos so I tried to save them but that site wouldnt let me. I got around it though, so dont worry:tup: Excellent site for original pictures :)

AND what Paulie said:tup:

^ Noted, but the reason why I still like to express the chassis code on the Cayman, because I would like to point out the relationship with the Boxter. And to keep things in check and alphanumeric order as what I did with 911 series of cars (930, 996, 997, etc.). The only Porsches that I was unable to get the chassis code are the Carrera GT, Cayenne, and the upcoming Panamera. :)

^ The Car article (although saw in a translated format), is confusing somewhat. I might as well, wait for the unveiling I guess. :indiff:

-> I'm looking forward on your experience at the auto show, I like news from smaller international auto shows circuit. Have fun dude! :)👍

^ I do agree, but however the trucks I've posted (F-150) do have significant performance differences in some manner, and since the F-150 series do have more than 40+ trim and configuration combinations so 4-5 trucks are a blessing given by the wide range of models specifically.

-Trim, (cab config., bed config.)
FX2 Sport (ext., short) - regular engine {5.4 V8}, road-oriented suspention tuning.
Limited (crew, long) - Will repesent as the most common F-150, based on performance attribute on other regular F-150 variants (XL, XLT, Eddie Baur, FX4, etc.).
SVT Lightning (reg., short) - The highest performance factor, based on street/track use.
FX400 (crew, short) - The highest performance factor, based on off-road/rally use.
Harley-Davidson (crew, short) - Basically an FX2 with a Supercharger & a crew cab.

-> It may be different to other trucks like the Nissan Titan on which can optioned up to two models (not counting the Nismo Titan concept). And the Toyota Tundra can only optioned up to the lightest model with the I-Force 5.7L V8, and one with the TRD S/C complete kit concept truck as shown here HERE.

-> So it will not be applied to every truck. Unless it can be deliberated by us. ;)

I can translate it to you if you want. Anyway, we'll see what happens at the show. The company is growing with it's new owner.

Thanks mate! More than 30 brands (400+ cars).

PS: It's on the OICA calendar of Autoshows. http://oica.net/

So Paulie, since you're from nd 4 holden spd's grave, does that mean you're like the Undertaker now? :lol:

(Do they show WWE Smackdown in Australia?)

the fighting isn't fake, just scripted. Those guys are trained to take a hit, and, although some of the blows are fake, not all of them are. Some of them really get injured. Although, with people like "The Rock" that had prior injuries, I'm sure they get special treatment.

Scripted, fake, in a fight those 2 words mean the same thing IMO. Watch kickboxing I will instead.

Acura NSX '10 = As of the current date, even the car has been trolling around the big Nurb, but there is no official name yet. Everybody keeps on calling it 'NSX', 'successor of NSX', yada-yada. :indiff:

^ Heck, I will never call it 'THE NSX'! ARX maybe, but definitely not NSX. I will hold this car until its official release/announcement.

-> I've also added the Lambo LP560 cop car, a Hemi-powered Wrangler, a Kellogg's-named Russian sports car, a new Galpin concept car, a Kia roadster, various JDM Mazda's, a company called Saker, some very special Brazilian VW's and its design study concept, and more details regarding the failed Yamaha hyper car prototype. :)👍
