The Vehicle Wish List & Info Database

The new Challenger Convertible Concept was supposedly debuted at the 2006 SEMA Auto show. Although, I don't think Chrysler is interested in actually releasing it. They're too busy trying to merge with GM. (Hey, so.....does this mean we'll see a Viper powered Corvette or a Corvette powered Viper? Didn't the Challenger 575 and 575S debut at the 2008 SEMA show? and isn't the 575 the Chevy smallblock V8 used in the Camaro?

-> No updates just yet (taking a brief break). :)
Good luck finding it.:P Going from Autoblog's coverage the place is in-conceivably huge eh?
^ I've been to SEMA last year and yes, it was huge slightly bigger than the LA Auto Show. But for some stupid circumstances, I was unable to attend this year. :(

^ After digging thouroughly, the Challenger concept that was intended to be released at SEMA in 2006 was a no-go. Plus the pic you provided was a Breda Priddy & Co. rendering speculation and not a real prototype/concept. Here is a direct quote from SEMA.org:

SEMA.org on 07-26-06
SPY SHOT: DODGE CHALLENGER CONVERTIBLE?
Following coverage of last week's Camaro convertible, the spy shot for this week is actually another rendering provided by Brenda Priddy and Company (BP&C).
spy_072606.jpg

In addition to the rendering, BP&C offers the following information:
Stated BP&C: "With the recent announcement from Dodge regarding production of the much anticipated Challenger, we expect a convertible version to also be in the works. This photo-illustration should give a good idea as to what the convertible would look like—now we're just waiting for confirmation from Dodge. But ... it might be another year or so before they mention that 'C' word."
Interest in the Challenger is sure to grow as the industry gears up for the celebration of American Muscle at the 40th Annual SEMA Show. Ford, General Motors and DaimlerChrysler will share in an unprecedented collaboration as Vehicle Manufacturers of the 2006 event. The three American automotive industry giants will shine at the 2006 SEMA Show, simultaneously celebrating the continuation of their musclecar heritage and the SEMA Show’s 40th anniversary.
The automakers represent not only a storied performance legacy but also the very roots of the specialty-equipment industry. “The Mustang, Camaro and Challenger helped bring many of our industry’s earliest businesses into being,” said SEMA President and CEO Christopher J. Kersting. “The current production and concept versions of those fabled cars are now kindling similar passion in a new generation of auto enthusiasts and are once again providing opportunities for our member companies.”
^ So the only 'valid' latest-gen Challenger Concept Convertible was made by a tuner and was presented on SEMA 2008. :)

Actually, I heard that Dodge was going to make the convertible an option on the 2009 Challenger, but it will cost an extra $15,000 making the Challenger Convertible over $50,000. The one at the SEMA show was Dodge's way of presenting the car. like the Hurst Challenger (which is also an available trim on the 2009 Challenger). Too bad the SRT10 Challenger probably won't be released. A 600hp V10 in that little car? I would say it's top speed is 220mph+ stock, if it doesn't have the Ram SRT10's regulator.

On another note, and this will go on the wish list for now, but it seems to me like Formula Drift is a HUGE sponsor of GT and visa versa. I would venture a guess that at least Tanner Foust's Rally Impreza and Drifting 350Z will be in GT5 if not the major players in the Formula Drift series (Maybe Sam Hubinette's Charger, Viper (at least one of the iterations) and the new Challenger drifter?) but who knows.

So, on that note:

A 1962 VW bus body with a Vanagon pickup chassis and the Porsche 993 Turbo's engine. Has around 500 horsepower!
^ I think the manufacturer name is reversed, so I improvised. I also edited the name too. ;)

^ Your Hurst S/C Challenger has been added and provided a better link.

-> As for the Challenger Cabrio, I add it under Coach Builders. Since they were the one who presented the Cabrio first. :)

-> But I had some notations, The LF-A came out not only one or two, but three concepts!

-> As for the CTS Coupe, I only categorize it as a concept car that was released at the NAIAS 2008, not 2010. :)

-> And also I didn't add up the links on your cars, since most of these cars are pretty much well-known. :)

BT-> I have made additions to a lot of headliner cars from SEMA despite I didn't attend this years convention. :indiff:

-> Also I added few cars from V5.0 too. :sly:

-> I've been up all night (since 10:30pm, sat)! It's 12:00pm now, so I'll keep it short. Just browse on my log if you guy's see any discrepancies. T.Y.! :)

EDIT:
Saint_Dracula-> I'll get back on your car later, thanks! :)

-> I added some details on your trucks, plus I also added one of the best full-size pickup I've driven; the Sierra Denali w/ Quadrasteer. :)

So you know, the Sierra Denali only came with Quadrasteer and an extended cab from 2002-2005. In 2001 it was the C3 and had no Quadrasteer, in 2006 the Denali trim was moved to the crew cab-short box model, and in 2007 it was on the the same model but on the new Sierra design. ;)

-> One question in regards to the GT40, there are so many variations of this particular car (race cars excluded). Plus I would think the GT40 is a product from Ford Europe although it was greatly represent as an American car, the car was built, engineered, and designed in the UK. Please clarify me on this.

^ Noted, but the reason why I still like to express the chassis code on the Cayman, because I would like to point out the relationship with the Boxter. And to keep things in check and alphanumeric order as what I did with 911 series of cars (930, 996, 997, etc.). The only Porsches that I was unable to get the chassis code are the Carrera GT, Cayenne, and the upcoming Panamera. :)
That's fine, was just pointing it out. :)

The other 3 do not have any kind of chassis codes, probably due to the fact there are no other generations of them. The Cayenne, though, may or may not get one when the next generation comes out in mid-late 2010.

Judging from all the cars being requested, people only want muscle cars in GT5.:sly:

do we have to put "sport sedan" on all of them if the link is provided, as it looks too cluttered and overkill.

Anyhows, I'll leave you with them to fix plus I'll add a couple (I know its more than 10 but while i'm here:tup:) more

That wish list looks like almost every car on earth.. How about we specify about 3-5 top cars from each manufacturer that never was in GT and is worthy to be in GT?

Well if you look closer, you'll see that it isn't every car in the world. This is a wishlist, a list that people put their wishes on. It's like a Christmas wish list. As a kid you put every toy you wanted on it, but your parents only ended up getting you a few things from the list.

And anyways, if Kaz and the gang decide to simply not make any more versions of GT and simply have more cars and tracks as downloadable content, then this would be the sort of list to follow!

-> I had a quite a hard time on this edition. Thats why it took me a while to figure it out all in all. And also, I have some question too.

Well the 1967 would be the MKIII. The MKIII used an American engine and was used as mainly an American entry, despite being built in Britain. I'm not 100% sure which country to put it under though, so I think it would work fine under Ford US unless someone else says otherwise that actually has a clue. :P
http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/2178/Ford-GT40-Mk-III.html
http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z407/Ford-GT40-MKII.aspx
^ Alrighty, but based on my research on Wiki and Motor Trend. Although the car has the American engine, the car was specifically designed, engineered, and built in Ford's European arm. So I consider the only production version of the original GT40 to be European, not American. :)

Judging from all the cars being requested, people only want muscle cars in GT5.:sly:

yeah. Muscle cars are awesome. I also want trucks, and a few supercars. but muscle cars rule.
^ It is not just that. So far, buickgnx88 has contributed most cars on the wish list by far, and obviously due to his love of musclecars showed much of his contributions. I provided mostly headliner cars by the news from websites everywhere. ;)

QUOTE=The Vanishing Boy;3219463]-> ^ Why? I know it might not be relevant to you at first, but what about the others who does not have as much as automotive knowledge as we are. Take note on my 1st post:

then please change every 4 door sedan that wheres a "M" or "AMG" badge to sports sedan and you should also point out sport coupes and sports cars and...and....and....you see what I mean? The designation for concept IMO is the only one needed!

^ I'm doing this to educate people, sharing the love or somthing like that.

Isn't that what the links are for????

^ I revised 'Kingswood' as a sub-model just like the 1st SRT-4 which is basically a Neon. I also edited the engine size to 4.2 too. :)

Again, this car is listed by Holden as a "SS" not a "kingswood" therefore no need for sub models as this just complicates things for no reason. For example a Holden Commodore [VK] HDT SS Group A '84 is based of an "SL" or poverty pack Commodore, does this mean we should list it as a sub model??? It would look stupid as Holden Commodore (SL) [VK] HDT SS Group A '84 !!!!

Ok, now I'm confused...these HDT's are also called Brock. Are these like Shelby's is to Ford USA's? But on my opinion they may be a slim chance that they can be a straight Holden. But so far, I'm sticking -HDT- unless if there is sufficient proof.

Its like a pet name for the cars, like a HSV Commodore [VL] SS Grp. A '87 is called a "Walkinshaw" named after the guy who ran the HSV operation. Either way take it from me, my cousin owns a "brocky" and registration papers say its a Holden first and foremost.....and if you dont beleive me, lets leave it open to other forum members to discuss it.👍

-> As for the sport sedan/coupe dilema, I will get into that as I install a fresh batch in. :)

buickgnx88-> Thanks for the help, but there are some significant 'Stangs that are worthy enough that are on V5.0 that I have to filter out, I'll squeeze in some of yours one way or another, but please give me time. Thanks! ;)

^ Eh, thats a Noble M400 (already on the list) and a US-spec on top of that. And yes, the [Z33] 350Z (soon to be on list) is puny compared to that car. Thanks for the effort though. :)
