If it's anything like last month's Subaru, we'll have it very "Soon" indeed

But how "soon" are we are talking here? This month's "soon"? Next month's "soon"? Brock Lesnar defending the WWE championship's "soon" (in case you don't get it, it's the furtherest away from today's date, wrestling reference ) ?

Jokes aside, it all depends on whether PD is planning a double Christmas gift or just sticking to the "one car per month" plan...

Trademarked Soon most likely. As in GTP will never know.

I really liked the top view. The rear end not so much. That boomerang shaped rear wing reminds me of the Night Raven plane in Ace Combat 3:

And GTP is here trying to give fans the information they deserve... Contrary beliefs, no?

What a weird plane that is... :odd: Can't argue with the fact that it is very similar to the Infiniti's rear wing, though.

hsv
That's why I'm looking forward to the 2X, it's something a bit different.

"A bit different"? I'd say the words "unlike any other VGT car ever" are more adequate. The only cars that could rival the 2X in crazyness are: the Bertone (if PD can somehow wrestle that design from the jaws of Bertone's wreck), the Nike\Jordan and the Alpine. Unless someone else can come out of nowhere with a bold design (much like GM did), I'd say that is pretty much it.

...
And the Daihatsu.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already but I noticed the other night that the Subaru Viziv super lap does not finish until early morning on 17 December.

This is only an educated guess but, based on previous experience, that means we probably won't see the (high?) Chaparral until then at the earliest. My guess would be for a Chaparral release and the next game update to come on either the morning of 17 December or 18 December. I'm going with the 18th.

On a purely practical level, personnel wise, my experience with clients is that many companies are winding down rapidly after Friday 19 December due to the midweek Christmas. Releasing the update on that timescale would mean that PD staff could easily be released from their duties from Friday 19 onwards if they wished.

If anyone from PD reads this, merry Christmas to you all ;)

Does anyone else think we might be getting the Ford Vision GT during the Detroit Motor Show early next year? I keep reading reports of the new Ford GT being unveiled but what if reports are getting confused with the design study for GT6?

I wouldn't count on it just yet; unless Ford and\or PD announces the reveal of the car close to that event, the chances of seeing Ford's VGT project are slim. For now, Detroit should see the reborn Ford GT, whether we see Ford's VGT too or not depends on the brand itself.

That's what I meant, sorry for any confusion @OpticZero. The NAIAS is a pretty big deal in the U.S. so it'd be dissapointing if none of the North American manufacturers involved in the project presented their concepts there. Fingers crossed we see something.

I understand that chain of thought, I'm just not sure whether it will be Ford project on the spotlight or not. Not to mention we still have two more American brands left alongside Ford in the VGT project (SRT\Dodge and Tesla), so those could also fill in if we do have a VGT presentation in Detroit.

Then again Detroit is the hometown for Ford, so...

I like to think of the show as something bigger than just Detroit...but I hope we never loose it to another city. That would be sacrilege to move it out of the Motor City.

Unless the American manufacters that have homes in Detroit don't enforce their word, Detroit should still have NAIAS for a long time...

Looks like the 2020 VGT/GT-R platform was given the G-Series/Skyline Touch. Be nice if they kept up G Series tradition with RWD not AWD, but I want the ERS still lol. That Infinity fluid design is interesting. They are clever hiding the grill/front end but the core base 2020 VGT is still clear.

I think they are releasing them at 2/3 week intervals (they have done this a few times already so no massive surprise), my guess is the Chaparral will be released on the 17th when the Subaru event finishes, and the Infiniti will be released on New Years Day (counting back 2 weeks from the end date of 15th January in that (penelope) pitstop pic.

I think the Infiniti looks decent, it's just that that grey colour is the same as the Nissan which is confusing it's identity, the Infiniti will hopefully come in other colours as well.

Perhaps you have a point, the Infiniti should be the next car in line, and those dates seem accurate.

And yes, when I get one I will make sure that it is purchased in any colour, as long as it's not gray. Heck, my Nissan 2020 is white, so... The front end looks nice enough, at least the grille looks right.

The Infinity concept vgt is a HYBRID FR 563pp, 535hp/376lb-ft,1680kg stock. Tires are sport soft. Downforce is 230/240, nothing can be upgraded or changed except tires, power percentage, brake balance and ballast. Weight distribution is a mid engined-like 46:54. After oil change the power (hp) stays at 535, yet the torque output grows to 395lb-ft and the pp total increases by 2 points to 565pp. The hybrid power can be 'manually boosted' using the nitrous button like the Nissan 2020.
