And one day I finally caught up with the series. We had to watch the first two episodes of the series for one of my asignatures two years ago, and I left it at that. Last year another professor of mine reviewed a small part of one episode for a lesson on the 180-degree rule. But my brother started watching the series on late 2014, and this year I decided to give the series a shot, and I only was spoiled a couple of characters' deaths (which gladly I didn't care about). Anyways, it's a shame that now that the story is getting very interesting I will have to wait like many fans have been waiting for the past years...

So.....anyone want to take a shot at what they think will happen next week?

Me:

Anyone get the feeling that there's a group of people outside the gates, just waiting in the shadows for the right time to strike? Or how about the feeling that the "Do good" people in the town are hiding something big?

Gah. Can't wait!

There's a lot of internal conflict to resolve, & with the pace the show keeps at, it'll take the majority of it wrapping it up. Part of what you're feeling is going to be kept til' next season & may pop up at the very end so we have to wait til' the Fall to see what happens. I'll be surprised if they bring that scenario up any earlier than the last 10-15 minutes because that's a lot of action to build & play out in 90 minutes with what's already going on.

Anyone else here hate Rick?

Sort of. I mean, he did almost

Pull a gun on that chick's husband just because he was with her, didn't him? (A couple episodes ago)

Also, I think the ending to Forget would have been a PERFECT series (not season) finale. I really liked the idea that after all they went through to get there, Rick would have rather return to the way things were, living outside where there were no rules and he could do anything he pleased just because he was the leader. That doesn't mean the series should have ended there, but I really liked that episode's ending with that music.

Well, to be fair, Rick didn't do anything he pleased because he was the leader; he did whatever he needed for the group to survive which is what he was telling the town in his speech. Even then, he has still asked for Michonne's, Carol's, & Daryl's input on different occasions.

I freaking love Rick !!

Crazy Ricky
Ricks right. The people of Alexandria are not prepared at all. Their gate could be run in easily, and the whole town taken over in a matter of minutes as nobody was/is armed. And after the Gov., Terminal, and Atlanta2 you better be prepared no matter how safe you might think you are.
Yes the feelings for the hot blond, do push Rick a bit further or quicker than it's good for the community. But exile is plain stupid. Letting the guy live on the outer limits is bound to pose a problem, he knows Alexandria, possible weaknesses,... He could rally up some people and take over if you let him live. Might, might not. Play the safe card.

That episode... awesome. And a 90min Finale. Perfect...

Question: What do you think the W stands for?

My take : the people outside Alexandria, "W" people that not fit their group after they "auditioned" an unvolentarly byapassing group. Or people that do not taste so good...

I'm really eager to see the twist on the outsiders as we already had the canibals, though the corpses Daryl found could indicate other canibals. In the Zcalipse it wouldn't be implausible. I think we might gonna see Morgan, maybe even save the group at the end of the finale? I miss Morgan, the teased near Terminus and then nothing for so long...
I think, Sasha will be need to let go on the finale, as Sasha took Andreas role ("she's the sharpshooter"), plus her "lost it" mentality...

Really eager for the Finale. I hope with the 90min, they will not cut of with a HUGE cliffhanger,... I want to see Alexandria situation somewhat of resolved....

I really need to update my comic book read, last I read was 101 I think (baseballbat death). I still hunts me. Brutality kill

The W is for Wolves, & that's without divulging into other media.

That's not a W.
It's an M, carved upside down intentionally to deceive. It's Morgan. And I've a feeling he's about to show his hand.
That's my guess at any rate, so not a spoiler for tonight.

I'm not trying to bring up the other media that surrounds The Walking Dead, but the show has already showed you it's a W & that Morgan doesn't have the kind of personality to just leave Walkers alive for no reason. Tonight solidified that even more.

On that, it played out as I expected. They teased the Wolves once again & how cunning and ruthless they are, but wouldn't show any actual conflict with them so that the finale wouldn't end on a cliffhanger. Great finale that actually wrapped everything up without any major deaths.

What a 🤬 season finale. These guys will never learn how to end a season properly, how to hype you up for the next.

So you didn't catch the part where the Wolves are looking through the photos of Rick & Carl, quite possibly learning the whereabouts of Alexandria? This was a proper season finale that didn't rely on killing someone off for once.

The nameless place I download the episodes from, there was a comment left that said Glen had died. Sucks that someone would post a spoiler like that, but thankfully that wasn't the case.

I think Rick has the town on his side now, and it's nice that Morgan is there with them. Hopefully he can be a big help if and when the Wolves decide to attack. Good stuff all around, can't wait for the new season.

Yes, I saw that. And yes, that didn't hype me up. Because a good season starts with the previous season's finale. And to this day, The Walking Dead hasn't been able to come with a great season, where each episode is good on its own. As it is right now, most episodes downright suck, some are meh, and a few are GREAT (like the one where Rick goes bat:censored: with his machete). And it doesn't seem like it will be changing in the near future.

I think that was a great ending, it shows the town are now fully united with Rick as they got a first hand experience of what he was saying the whole time.

And clear danger lurking in the future without revealing too much about it.

All that without killing people care about(which would come off as a cheap cliff hanger), to me that is good story.

Before this episode I was thinking that we where looking at another prison situation but now it looks more unclear on the direction, and thats a good thing as I don't want to know too much.

I think the record viewership ratings disagree with you.

Do you really expect me to take ratings seriously? There are a lot of series I don't care about, other I downright hate (fittingly, mustafur mentioned The Big Bang Theory). Doesn't mean I'm blind and those series are perfect or awesome.

The Walking Dead hasn't been up to my standards, except in a handful of episodes, and sadly, even if I put together every episode I considered great I wouldn't be able to have a full season. If I keep watching the series, it is because I hope it will turn seriously good in the future. And because I like the post-apocalyptic setting, nothing more.

Why even watch it then? Sounds like it's not for you.

Because for the most part it's entertaining, but more often than not the ending to the episodes is bad (luckily this season improved a lot on that) and the season finales just plain suck (IMO).

Just because a huge amount of people watch it doesn't mean the show is the best ever.

^Don't get it Lucas. I also taught it was a perfect season finale....

I hate when they leave you with a massive spoiler.... and then when the new season starts you forgotten half of it. And honestly you don't care anymore...

Loved that Morgan is back.
Hated Glen didn't cut the achilles heel of that guy and leave him there (possible backdoor for the wolfes?)
Love how the Daryl arc came along.
I completly forgotten about the Wolfes and still have no memories of them... But it will make the arc for the new season quite interesting.

Massive proper season ending and the 63 minutes were perfect and probably helped making it so.

Crazy Rick. So good.

At least we don't have to wait till autumn for our TWD crave. Spinoff starts in summer? :dopey:

I have no issue with the last two season finales. They both had enough suspense to keep me pumped for the next season while everything came together perfectly for the S5 climax.

Reg's death was exactly the kind of tipping point that was needed while playing out in similar fashion to the events of the comic series. If things start moving at the same pace as the first few S5 episodes, that may lead to the first half of S6 turning very messy indeed.

And after what was an incredibly dull and depressing start to the second half of the season, I see no reason to complain about how it concluded.

ok, so it's not an M after all. But it could have been...

I assume the Wolves just drive up their semi trucks to a camp, let the walkers go wild, wrangle them back up, and repeat.

Whoever thinks that "more ratings than the rest" = "best series ever" is objectively wrong.

Anyways, I hope the next season lives up to the hype.
I'm not saying it's "the best ever" I'm just saying it's good enough that apparently millions of people like it, and you're obviously not one of them.

If I didn't like the show, I wouldn't watch it. But because I like it doesn't mean I think it does a great job at making very exciting episodes or great season finales.
