55 isnt really that cold.
Mhuaaaa....

It was freezing, then, because I wasn't used to it. The previous weeks I was walking around in short pants and Hawaii'n shirts. And, 55 in early mid day means it's going to be cold at night, and it was. 37, to be exact. Now that's freezin' yur' balls off weather. The heater was on all night, and it was cold in the house, still, after 6 hours of constant heater action. Plus, I had the chills from my flu.

Same weather today, but I'm used to it, a bit, and the chills from my flu are a bit gone. But, it's still too cold, for my tastes...

I was in boxers and nothing elese and it was 23-27 degrees here. Well we did get a new furnace 2 1/2 months ago.

66 degrees now, soon lows in the 20s and 10s...

Gatta love southwest ohio weather changes...

I LOVE STORMS THOUGH! :D I wanted to be a meteorlogist when i was in junior high

Once again clear blue skies, perhaps not as warm as the past couple of days but atleast I want to look outside the window.

Thirty seven for the low? We are 60 degrees colder than that (80 degrees colder with the windchill). Won't even break -10 today.

Did you know that if you take a cup of hot water outside when it's this cold it'll freeze before it hits the ground? Looks pretty sick.

Remember what I said about it being unseasonably mild? Forget it. Last night we had thunderstorms, and near dawn we suffered a flash freeze which made everything into an ice rink. Add to that the 50km/h+ winds which have blown trees down all over the place, and we have Old Man Winter's wrath upon us!

Here in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada... it was -47 C with the windchill (thats -52 F for the Yanks)!!

But its a dry cold!!

Am I right in saying that this only works with hot water, and not with cold? And doesn't it actually vapourise and never hit the ground?

I think I've seen this done on TV.

Wow. I love this weather here. (Kidding)

It was cloudy this morning at about 44 degrees, some rain rolled in for a little bit. It has cleared up, and now it's sunny and really windy. Like knocking down trees windy. Then, it's supposed to drop 20 degrees tommrow.

Yeah.

@ both ferrari_chris & turboash78 - The water needs to be as hot as you can get it. The weatherman did it a few years ago and we did last winter. It has to be damn cold for it to work, though. And yes, the water never hits the ground.

I'm in North Dakota, turboash78.

Weird weather pattern in socal right now – on Monday it was almost 90°F, and I was wearing shorts and short sleeves. Today it’s snowing outside (snowing heavily).

Right now I have a Winter Storm warning for me until sometime tomorrow. Two to four inches of snow/sleet, with some ice thrown in for good measure. Tomorrow will be in the 20's and tomorrow night's low is supposed to bottom out around 10F with some wind chill and snow for good measure. Now for you folks in the northern US this may not sound like much but in Tennessee this gets people to panic and buy the bread and milk.

Then there is another chance of snow/sleet Sunday night into Monday morning, but by Monday it should warm up just enough to make it a cold rain.

And to think that just over 24 hours ago I was dealing with thunderstorms and temps close to 70F.

Wasn't there a thread about "How hot is it, where you live?" or something like that? I couldn't find it, but anyway! It got over 90 degrees here today. Supposed to be a record high. I went outside and shot basketball around for little bit(got bit sweaty). I love summer weather, especially when it's not during the summer. :D

It's perfect weather here. High '80s, low '90s at afternoon time, and cool and breezy during the night to keep things cool. A light fan is all that's needed to keep you cool if you're burning up, and no blankets at night. Perfect.

It's the summer time and it's.................................. Been raining, all day long.

Yesterday, they told us "Record high today is a lock. 85 degrees with wall-to-wall sun!" So naturally, it was sort of hazy and almost overcast at times, and didn't get much above 75. The weather man let himself off the hook by saying "Northwest weather can be really complex sometimes! Didn't get as hot as we thought today, and it will cool off a couple of degrees for tomorrow." Today, it got up to 85. Maybe they were just off by one day
