It was 16 degrees when I woke up this morning with a nice 45 mph wind and 70mph+ winds to the north. It also snowed yesterday. It is way too early for winter.

A lot of rain over the past week. Think we had just over 50mm across last weekend. Hoping it sticks around for a little longer. Will take anything we can get before summer hits.

It should be between 5° and 10°C this time of year but for some odd reason, it is 20°C around 16°C or maybe even warmer.

It is overcast, dry but there is a lot of wind.

Today wasn't bad at all for this time of year, sunny and ~50°F. Had the day off so I cleaned up the yard and did the last lawn mowing of the season.

Winter Weather Advisory
  • Anchorage, AK
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKST TODAY... * WHAT...Snow, sleet, rain, and freezing rain. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch. * WHERE...Anchorage. * WHEN...Until noon AKST today. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A wintry mix of precipitation will transition to all rain later this morning. As rain and freezing rain fall on snow covered roads, a thin layer of ice may develop.

What would usually be a 45min. drive home turned into a little over 2 hours with 3 stops to clean my wiper blades (not that I could see much even with them working properly). I'm pretty sure my van is now stuck in it's parking spot as well, but that's tomorrow's problem. :yuck:

huh, the above image in my post is cached. The news website keeps the same URL but updates it. Anyone else shows 50 F? When I edit the post it shows the current temperatures lol

Check out the view in Seward today!!!
They're getting a sneak peek of what's to come for most of Southcentral and Southeast starting this weekend....but don't let those blue skies fool you...temperatures will fall fast!
We'll see a 15-20° drop by early next week.

Your above post shows mid 60's through the week. I figured you were being sarcastic with your comment. And I was jealous.

It has been oddly cold where I live compared to the rest of the country, it has either been -1°C (30°F) or -2°C (28.4°F) with freezing fog for the last few days and all of the radiators downstairs in my house have basically decided they don't want to work all of a sudden. At best they get warm, one of them just stays stone cold the entire time. Someone is coming to take a look at them next week.

Bit rainy. It's almost 5pm and the radar has pretty much looked like this since around 6am.

Shame we don't get more days like this around this time of year.
