The Worst Car You Have Driven On Gran Turismo

Going to stick my neck out here and say that if you are a decent, and flexible driver the Veyron is not a bad car at all. People just seem to forget that it is so dang fast, they are approaching each corner way quicker and need to compensate. Driven well, it will beat just about any other production car on any track (in my experience at least, it had about a second over anything else at Trial Mountain). And yes lest we forget it is a PRODUCTION CAR, not a race car. It's not light, but only around 100kg more than an R8 or GTR, barely more than a Vanquish, and a lot less than a Conti GT.

Anyway enough of my recurring defence of the Veyron. As for bad cars to drive, I would say the Cizeta, though I still love it, the Hommell Berlinette (in GT5 anyway, not sure I've tried it in GT6) and I seem to remember back in GT3 or GT4 the supposed quickest Lancer Evos had really weird understeer issues (I think they fixed that though). Then there are the cars where the gear ratios are out of wack - the Caterham Fireblade is still a bit sluggish off the line though better than it was in GT5. One of the Zondas was messed up in one of the previous iterations of the game, and hit the limiter at a comparitively low speed, again this was fixed but made it pretty useless at the time. A few muscle cars also struggled to make it much over 100mph in GT5 but now make a more realistic 120 or so.

EDIT: Oh look

The Ferrari GTO.
Garbage, Terrible Oversteer.
It snap oversteered on me at 4k RPM. The Ferrari is a joke.

Utterly useless. More of an art piece, or a car you use for bragging rights, not to actually drive.

"If the back is slipping out, you're not going fast enough" (not meant to rhyme).

It doesn't... :P

The Acura CL 3.2 Type-S '01 is a real dog in stock form...it's basically a heavy, sluggish NSX with terrible handling and gear ratio.

The Daimler Motor Carriage job in GT4 - the put put put One brake horse power.
And it kills me to admit it is a Mid Engined car. not a bad car for '86
... that would be 1886 though.
Who would have thunk it.

only one?
hmm that's tough, possible contenders are:
The Lotus from that Top Gear Test Track Challenge
Lancia Stratos
Deltawing
Chaparral 2D in GTPSP
Any fully tuned RR car
and that one Daihatsu Midget I tuned (It was loads of fun though)

Surely you mean fully upgraded with the gt-auto parts instead of fully tuned? Because if you tune that car well you can certainly solve the excessive oversteering problems.

Gave it the full treatment. Power upped close to 1,000 HP, all weight reductions, massive wing.

I solved the problem by adding weight to the front. It drives nicely, but I can still feel the car itching to slide out.

I don't know what's worse between Schwimmwagen and Kübelwagen.
What a waste of time to model these two.

Not entirely sure where to put this but anyway,

What is the worst car you have driven in GT, and what game has the worst version.

For me it is the Pontiac Sunfire GXP Concept on Gran Turismo 4.

th

Oh yes, the FF Sunfire. This was hell for me. It has the worst gear ratios I have ever seen and corners slower than anything on earth.
Don't let W&N see this.

All you need to do is increase the rear camber. And put the rear toe close to 0.
Well, you need to set up the transmissions well too. Put the first and 2nd gears quite long.

True that, its so heavy with such horrible transmissions an such a wrong engine for driving fast...
But still, you'll notice that you can drive perfectly fine at "legal speeds" such as 120km/h

The Veyron, heavy understeering mofo. Especially in GT5, in GT6 I happened to enjoy getting gold at Ascari but after I never that touched it again. i haven't touched GT6 in months but that is a different story...

That's because you don't know how to tune it. I have it the fastest car and no let up in turns on Indy, Motegi and Daytona--nothing can touch it.
I'm speaking on a purely stock basis, and even with tuning I doubt I'd dial it down for turning

You're doing something wrong than.
OK, I'll try it again. The problem might be with power increases giving it snap oversteer, which I put a fair bit of effort into to try to tune it out. I like driving the LMP1 and group C cars without traction control, so it's not that I can't use the mid-engined cars. I love the Ferrari GTO, too.
