That damn Auto Union Streamline. I looked forward to the return of the car in GT6 so much, but with the ridiculous amount of understeer that car has, I can't appreciate it in the slightest.

The understeer is justified because of the car's focus on record-breaking speed, however.

The turning circle is hilariously bad... enter the pits with it at Laguna Seca and funny stuff happens :P

My worst car is probably the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, in GT5. Not sure if it is any better in GT6 but just useless in GT5 for sure.

Not entirely sure where to put this but anyway,

What is the worst car you have driven in GT, and what game has the worst version.

For me it is the Pontiac Sunfire GXP Concept on Gran Turismo 4.

th

Oh yes, the FF Sunfire. This was hell for me. It has the worst gear ratios I have ever seen and corners slower than anything on earth.
Ironically, The Sunfire GXP concept actually cornered on par or better than anything in it's class in GT4. It was just ungodly slow, 300+hp could barely reach 130mph if I remember right. But ir cornered very well, with tenacious for fwd grip.

The gear ratios are accurate for an automatic transmission that came with those cars in real life. No idea why they don't have it as a 5spd though.

The Ferrari GTO.
Garbage, Terrible Oversteer.
It snap oversteered on me at 4k RPM. The Ferrari is a joke.
There are soo many cars...that oversteer soo much more than the Ferrari GTO...I don't understand?

I remember it handling like crap. Maybe cause in only drove it with TC and ASM.

I think the problem is that it doesn't have much steering angle available. The term "understeer" usually refers to the front wheels running out of grip.

Yeah the wheels just didn't rotate much, any cars with covered front wheels suffered from that but it was perfect for the banked circuits of the time. It's a shame PD have never really explored that car and put some contemporary opponents and old-time circuits in. I guess the ovals will do, but you're going to get pitted against modern cars.

I've noticed a big difference with the Audi RM8's & many of the Lambo's in GT6. In GT5, theses were among my favorites to drive, but in GT6 they are very difficult to drive!

RUF BTR '86 - crazy bad for a car that is supposed to be tuned to improve performance. Oversteer on braking, throttle liftoff, or with throttle. Just... Horrible.

PD really hates the P-Cars.

GT6
Deltawing 2013 - My first 2 mil car. Very depressing with the understeer.
Any MR car at launch - Driving one up Bathurst was... entertaining.

GT5
Ferrari Enzo - Holy s*** in stock mode this thing was dreadful. Won the Nurb 4 Hours in a heavily modified variant.
Ferrari F40 - Will never forgive PD for those gear ratios.
Bugatti Veyron - An ocean liner was never going to be good, but this was impressively bad. Won the Nurb 4 Hours in a very heavily modified variant.

I cant remember far back enough for GT4 or GT3.

I remember than car in GT4. All it would do is wheelspin until 5th gear.

Thread revival time!

In terms of handling, the Bugatti Veyron is terrible. Once it reaches around 130 mph, it almost doesn't turn.

My ultimate number one pick for the worst car I've driven on the entire Gran Turismo series is definitely no doubt the Bugatti Veyron. It's a car that is full of massive power but no handling at all, at 375KM/H the steering becomes really weak and the stability is a big problem. It is also very heavy as well, with it almost being a two-ton hypercar. I also didn't really like driving the SRT Tomahawk X since it is no doubt the hardest car to control (even more than the Red Bull X cars) due to its extreme cornering and speed. Also, the Chaparral 2X is also one of the worst cars I've driven as well, with extreme laser power that will propel you to 260MPH while handling like a tank on a lightweight and flexible single-seater chassis.

wow the veyron is pretty famous here, and i raise my hand too, it really is that terrible :yuck: also those "yellowbird" and "blackbird" RUFs are pretty hard to tune, even at a decent setup the back still usually slides badly!:banghead:

The Speed 12 is my go-to car for the rainmasters. Tuned down to 550pp, with full downforce and racing soft tires it works quite well. It's even OK on IM tires. Sarthe is tough because the Hyura's have so much straight line speed, but nitrous fixes that.

As far as bad cars, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is pretty bad. I cant tune that thing at all. I dont even like the tunes posted on the forum. This weeks seasonal prize car proved to me once again how much I dont like it. And something's wrong with the Ford GT's. The concept and '05 aren't very good, but the '06 is lovely.

The SL 65 AMG from GT4, no questions asked.

"It was a great car, you needed a tune!"
"You must learn it to drive it!"

No, the SL 65 was straight up bad. Felt like a dog around corners, had way too much understeer, and took an entire millennium to stop.

Of every car in the series, I would say that the worst car would have to be the Suzuki Escudo from GT3. Sure, it may have been the best car in GT2, but in GT3 it does not turn even at moderate speeds. Only way you can turn is to ride the walls.

The Cizeta V16T '94
I've tried that car in GT4,5 and 6 and it is a POS in all of them. I don't think I have ever saw a car that corners as badly as that one.
I thought so too but it is curable with some tuning. Can win easily Midfield seasonal for instance.

Here is my final Yellowbird/BTR '86 tune, works fine for both cars and in fact Yellowbird is better all around from minimum 440PP to 550PP. Not great mind you but a good 550PP car. Needs some attention on long sweeping curves or tight esses/chicanes. This car can reach 205 mph on the Mulsanne (no chicane) or 200mph on the N'ring Dottinger straight, you can probably adjust the final ratio down a bit to get the IRL 211 mph top end for the car.

front - 75, rear 90 height
9.75 / 7.00 f/r springs
6/1 f/r comp
6/1 f/r ext
5/2. f/r arb
0.9/0.9 f/r camber
-0.06/0.80 f/r toe
(Note very high rear toe)
8/5 f/r brake balance
50/50/50 LSD trippin'
66 kg at -50%
44/56 f/r weight.
567 hp, 1216 kg
Transmission fully custom, set for 211 mph with final ration at 3.800

Give this a try, cured both BTR and Yellowbird for me.

Nah that car is really bad. I am a pretty good tuner and spent some time with it on GT5, no matter how it was set up it was still bad, seemed even worse on GT6 as in addition to the massive understeer it also had a huge amount of lift off oversteer. Of course I haven't driven it since they tweaked the physics and tried to tame some of the MR and RR cars down.

As for the Midfield seasonal, I have no idea what it would take to win that as I haven't logged in for some time but if it is one of the races most of those can be won easily with many different cars, doesn't mean the car that wins is any good. ;)

For Like The Wind on hard racing tyres the Escudo is a good performer but it handles like 🤬. My favourite car to drive in GT3 is the R390 GT1 but the Escudo is easily the worst.

I'm not sure how they handle in GT6, but Toyota Sera and Ford Taurus SHO were among the worst FF cars in GT4.

The former suffered from big wheelspin and it seemed the body could never tolerate strong cornering forces - even if suspension was upgraded. The Sera failed to become anything more than a soft two-seater for hiking, which is something I didn't like given the interesting appearance, often rare to found among Toyota models.

The latter delivered brutal amount of understeer, regardless of how gentle you were with acceleration dosage or how the car was set. The exhaust soundtrack was very appealing though, but that doesn't mean a lot if the car is constantly disappointing in other areas.

I wonder how they behave in GT6, can anyone tell? :)

I've got them both interestingly. Seems I liked the Sera at 400pp, and the Taurus was pretty fast. I'll ck them out when I get time today and file a report :)

Stock vehicle, I think the Auto Union and Tank Car are the worst. A few super heavy FF sedans like the Taurus are up there too for road cars. A couple bad race cars that are terrible stock are the Panoz Esperante, with its stupid weight distribution, the Deltawing as well. The Audi R8 LMS Ultra was a chore in the early versions of this game.

The worst car I've driven in-game is the first generation MR2. Not only is the body rendered from memory, it handles absolutely nothing like it does in real life.
