I wanted to get others opinion on a a thought I had.

Seeing as Gold is do much easier to get, are PD planning on a patch that adds better than gold? such as Platinum Diamond etc? It just doesn't make sense... it's traditional for the GT series to have some tough challenges be set but even at IA I'm not finding it anywhere near as hard as older GT games.

Or is this just a intended change because of all the whining over the vettell trophy being too hard to achieve maybe, what is everyone's thoughts?

I think they already did something similar with the inclusion of friends leaderboards along with the time of your friends as a visible line on the track.

I'm not even looking at the gold times anymore, I just want to beat my friends' times which is hard enough. It's much more of an incentive to reach the best time possible than just beating the gold time, addicting as hell. :D

The friend leaderboards are only in for licences though, not for missions or goodwood etc. Big disapointment on that part really. The gold times are now very very easy to get in comparison to GT5.

PD won't add better than gold. In fact, they are going in the opposite direction making everything easier. They started this trend with GT5 ... where they actually made many of the gold times easier after the game was released, not harder. When SRF is locked on, they want the game to be an arcade racer because the physics are 100% fake.

If getting Gold in GT6 is easier now than in GT5 then I'm all for it. I wasted too many hours in GT5 trying to go from Silver to Gold so I can bet better prize cars for free.

I applaud PD for reducing the number of license tests to only 5 per level. In my experience with GT5 some of the tests felt more like driving challenges than license tests for beginning drivers/racers (just like they were back in GT1).
